Hannah Hu of The Specials sheds light on her time singing with The Specials, as well as her burgeoning solo career. Anthony Harty, also recalls his days playing with Special Beat, The Selecter, The Specials, The Beat and various other 2 Tone-related bands.

Aw, I saw that Ranking Roger died while we were in Florida. Don’t usually try to time my choices to current events (it’s too hard to be prompt and then my select-an-album project starts to get away from me) but any excuse to listen to this, one of my favorite favorites from college, from the fun take on mental illness / vanity that kicks it off with “Mirror in the Bathroom” then, all of but I especially love “Twist and Crawl” “Noise in This World” “Best Friend” and of course “Stand Down Margaret” (which puts one in mind of #theresamay just now) and just, oh, I don’t know, multiple-listen-demanding covers of “Tears of a Clown” and “Can’t Get Used To Losing You”... noticed Roger singing goodbye at the end of “Jackpot” and thought it was kinda poignant.sn, every song on here is great.
