News - Kodansha Comics will be releasing digital editions of the Great Teacher Onizuka manga, as well as the spin-off GTO: 14 Days in Shonan on most major book platforms (like Kindle, Bookwalker, Comixology, Google Play, etc) starting Feb 1, 2022. The only major drawback: the digital editions are basically scans of the old Tokyopop release, no new translation or even new lettering. It’s possible that if they sell well enough, Kodansha might consider doing new print editions in the future, which would most likely have new translations & lettering. But for now, it looks like this is all that will be available.

Tohru Fujisawa's GTO: Paradise Lost Manga Ends 1st Part, Goes on Hiatus

This year's 44th issue of Kodansha's Weekly Young Magazine published the final chapter in the "first part" of Tohru Fujisawa's GTO: Paradise Lost manga on Monday. The issue also revealed that Fujisawa is taking a "long leave of absence" before returning to launch the manga's second part. Fujisawa added that the hiatus is due to a staff shortage, and said once he can set it up so he can publish the manga weekly again, he will resume the series.
