Also this is your reminder to... Watch Classic Who wherever you can find it!! It's a really enjoyable show to put on while getting things done in the house or multitasking :)) and it's okay to skip Doctors, it's just too long not to. There's no shame in watching a show for fun.. as in watching how you enjoy it most. We're all true fans no matter how much we have seen. I personally watch at least the first and last story arc per Doctor as my rule right now, though I have seen a LOT of the First and I don't want to miss ANY Fourth at this moment (I'm on him right now.)

Nobody knows what I mean when I talk about that ridiculous space worm that was literally. And I mean GENUINELY. Just green bubble wrap around a guy. You're missing out on so many goofy effects, but also some clever editing for the time and some stories that are really exciting! And some boring ones! But the boring ones are when I get my things done so thank the writers for my productivity

Do yourself a favor and sit down while this senile old man uses a blue box to NEVER get where he intends to go. Realize how little things really have changed. Marvel at the stories somehow drawn out into 6 episodes. Make fun of it. Love our show and know that we are the luckiest fans because we will NEVER run out of content :]

'You might expect a season finale to be shrouded in secrecy, with plot points and even the full cast list concealed so as to not to spoil viewers' enjoyment of the climax, but in fact it's the middle instalment of Doctor Who's "mini-season" of 60th anniversary specials that's proving to be the most mysterious.

Even before it aired on Saturday (25th November), we were familiar with the broad strokes of opening episode The Star Beast – an adaptation of the 1980 comic strip of the same name, featuring the cute but not so cuddly Beep the Meep, and reuniting the Doctor (David Tennant) with former companion Donna Noble (Catherine Tate).

We've also seen a fair amount come out around the trilogy closer, The Giggle – it'll feature the return of the villainous Toymaker, last seen on television way back in 1966 and now played by Emmy-winning actor Neil Patrick Harris.

Though not officially announced, trailer footage and interview teases have also pointed to appearances from UNIT, their leader Kate Stewart (Jemma Redgrave) and their scientist advisor Shirley Anne Bingham (Ruth Madeley).

But we know next to nothing about episode two, Wild Blue Yonder, which airs this Saturday (2nd December) – showrunner Russell T Davies has called it "weird" and "scary", but the brief plot synopsis that's been released is impressively vague: "The TARDIS takes the Doctor and Donna to the furthest edge of adventure. To escape, they must face the most desperate fight of their lives, with the fate of the universe at stake."

Besides Tennant and Tate, only one additional cast member has been confirmed – Susan Twist, who'll play a character named "Mrs Merridew".

The key art for the episode (see above) suggests the inclusion of a robot, though it's unclear whether it'll be friend and foe.

The trailer released shortly after broadcast of The Star Beast, meanwhile, also seems to delight in keeping things ambiguous, revealing only that the Doctor and Donna have landed in a mysterious space-age location, where they encounter "life signs" and are menaced by an unseen threat...

Doctor Who fans, of course, abhor a vacuum, so the lack of information about Wild Blue Yonder has sparked rampant speculation. Why the secrecy? What's being hidden?

Fan theories have included suggestions that the episode is set entirely within a TARDIS – with the Doctor's ship landing inside another time/space machine – or that all this cloak and dagger is concealing a huge surprise return, with names put forth including Carole Ann Ford as the Doctor's granddaughter Susan and Matt Smith as the Eleventh Doctor.

There's also a school of thought that the episode will feature an early appearance from Ncuti Gatwa's Fifteenth Doctor, and even Millie Gibson's new companion Ruby Sunday.

We know for a fact that the events of Flux, the Doctor Who series arc aired in 2021, will be dealt with "very slightly" in the episode, which has led fans to guess at everything from some involvement from The Division to a story set during "the Dark Times" (an age of chaos and monsters that predated the Doctor's reality).

To be clear, all of this is just guesswork at this point. In fact, Tom Kingsley, director on Wild Blue Yonder, has sought to play down the rumours while acknowledging that the plot is "a TOTAL SECRET".

Describing the episode as "weird and exciting", he added: "Fan PSA: the story of Wild Blue Yonder isn’t a secret because there are any surprise returning actors or villains. It’s just because we thought you might find it fun to watch it without knowing what’s going to happen next. Promise!"

Couldn't that rationale apply to any other episode, though? Adventures that weren't/aren't being kept under wraps to the same degree?

Perhaps the biggest clue we have to latch on to comes via David Tennant. Speaking to Total TV Guide, he said: "The second script is unlike any Doctor Who I’ve ever seen.

"I don’t want to give too much away, but I was always aware of the casting that was going to be part of the episode. That was something that Russell was very specific about. I just didn’t imagine it would… manifest itself in the way that it does..."

Could this piece of casting be the cause of all the covertness? If we take director Kingsley at his word that Tennant and Tate will be the only series veterans appearing, then perhaps it's not a returnee we should be expecting but some other familiar face – a big name actor whose casting is yet to be announced? Or just a particular type of performer?

Clearly, whoever it is, or whoever they are, said casting has a significant impact on the plot...

"I love humans," the Eighth Doctor once commented. "Always seeing patterns in things that aren't there," - it does feel, however, as though something is definitely afoot here.

Just three days to wait until the exact nature of that secret is revealed...'

Summary: Sometimes, when plans go wrong, they're actually falling into place. During a night out while attending Hopkins, Tobias meets a fascinating woman.

A/N: So, here's the story. I have this idea in my head for an AU where Tobias & Casey meet when they're younger, and they're instantly smitten with each other. But there are obstacles in their way, the greatest of which is meeting the person who is right for you, at a time when you're not remotely ready for that kind of love. It would be a messy, messy romance. Am I going to write it? I don't know. I have so many open WIPs already, but I love the idea. And this is how I would envision it starting. In many ways, it was a typical Saturday night. Bouncing out of his Jaguar with a spring in his step, he tossed the keys to the valet. A black fitted t-shirt, his favorite pair of jeans, and a few generous sprays of Tom Ford Noir… a cologne that never let him down… he walked in like he owned the place, though he’d never been there before. That’s how he wanted it. A few buddies from Howard were in town, his kid brother too, and Tobias wasn’t one to mix worlds. He couldn’t have been happier when they suggested this spot.   

Sauntering up to the bar, he ordered a gin and tonic before manspreading atop the leather barstool. It was a decent place, not too different from the ones he frequented near Hopkins. Still, it was a welcome change. He was the first to arrive, and as he waited, he decided to visit the jukebox, which had to outage him by at least a decade. Dropping in a few coins, he was happy to see the music selection wasn’t as old. 

As he made his selection, a flirtatious giggle turned his head. A sweet little redhead in a low-cut top, her cheeks as red as her ruby lips, was smiling in his direction. Her equally hot friends encouraged her, and he swore he caught one of them winking in his direction, too. Nodding with his signature smirk, he confidently strode back to the bar. Making sure he gave them plenty to look at as he did. Yeah, he thought, the change of scenery was a good idea.

He had finished one drink and was about to order another when his phone rang. He shook his head with a chuckle when he saw his brother’s name; that kid would be late to his own funeral.  

“Yo, what’s up,” he answered. “How late you gonna be?”

“T, why do you have to be like that?” Jordan whined.

“So, you’re not calling me to tell me you’re going to be late?”

“Actually,” his brother stalled. “I’m calling to tell you I’m not coming at all.”

“And why is that,” Tobias asked with a shake of his head.

“You see, uh… it’s because I’ve been talking to this chick…online.”

Tobias motioned to the bartender for another drink. “Baby brother, what did I tell you about that? You’re a Carrick; you got the genes. Just meet someone in person. It’s a safer bet.”

“That’s just because you’re an old man.”

“I don’t know, twenty-six doesn’t exactly qualify me as old. But that’s irrelevant, so why are you ditching me to meet this girl?”

“On the contrary, I’m ditching you, so I don’t have to meet this girl.”

“Care to explain?”

“She lives in New York; I was only going to meet up with her because she’s in Baltimore for some reason, but….”

Tobias chuckled with a know-it-all grin. “… but for all you know, she could be a 65-year-old man named Sven,” he laughed. “I told you, cut the online shit.”

“I mean, she seems cool, but she doesn’t strike me as the ‘send pics’ type, so….”

“Her name is Sven,” Tobias snickered.

“I’ll come and see you next weekend instead, OK?”

“Works for me, but Jordan….”

“Yeah?”

“If it turns out her name is not Sven, and she’s hot? All bets are off, little brother.”

“Hey, finders keepers.”

“Not if you don’t have the balls to show. Take care.”

A few more minutes passed when his phone rang again. Tobias rolled his eyes as he answered.

“What’s up Tony, you’re late!”

“I’m more than late, brother. I’m heading back home.”

“What? I canceled plans to see you fools tonight!”

“I know, I know! I don’t want to, believe me. But there was an accident on the Parkway, we’ve been dead-stoped for forty minutes. As soon as we get to the next exit, we’re spinning this thing around. I’m sorry, man. Wanna try for next weekend?”

“Yeah, yeah, likely excuse.”

“I’m serious, T!”

“I know. I’m only joking. Fine, next weekend it is. Same time and place.”

He hung up the phone and slid it into his pocket with frustration, then downed the rest of his drink. He mulled over what he should do for the night and figured heading home was the best way to go. He was about to stand up with he heard that giggle again.

Better idea. 

The bartender was serving someone at the other end of the bar, but when he headed back, Tobias knew exactly what table he was sending drinks to. It might be a hell of a fun night, after all. He took out his phone and scrolled through messages while he waited.

“Are you fucking kidding me?”

He lifted his head to see who blurted that out, to find a beautiful, blonde woman sitting on a stool about three seats away. She looked up and caught his eyes; her annoyance did not dissipate but seemed eclipsed by embarrassment.

“I’m sorry,” she apologized. “That came out a little louder than I anticipated.”

“No need to apologize to me,” he shrugged. “I’ve heard worse words than that.”

He watched her eyes drop, looking him over from head to toe, her face turning redder when she realized she had been caught.

“Still, I’ll try to keep it down.”

She turned back to her phone, and this time it was his turn to let his eyes wander, and, God, he liked what he saw. 

“So, what’s got a pretty woman like you so pissed off on a Saturday night anyway?”

She turned to him with a tilted head, “Is that supposed to be some sort of pathetic pickup line?”

He raised his hands in surrender, “No, ma’am. Not unless you want it to be,” he winked, delighted when she let out the softest of laughs. Emboldened, he continued. “So, you gonna tell me what pissed you off?”

“My date blew me off. I had no desire to come out tonight, but I did, and the fucker goes and blows me off.”

Tobias snorted, and this time it was him who was louder than he thought.

“Are you laughing at me?” She asked, and he wasn’t sure if he detected offense in her tone. “Tell me you’re not judging my choice of language.”

“We’ve already established I don’t have virgin ears. So, who was foolish enough to stand you up?”

“OK,” she laughed, “now that was a pathetic pickup line!”

“Only if it’s working,” he smirked, and she swore she felt something inside her explode. “So… is it?”

She looked at him with a coy smirk of her own and shrugged one shoulder. “Maybe? A little bit.”

Now, he felt something too. Captivated, he got up and took the seat beside her, sitting dangerously close. “Well, well,” he simpered. “My night just got better. Tobias,” he said, extending his hand. “And you are?”

Melting. She thought as her hand met his. She wasn’t prepared for the jolt of electricity that coursed through her body the moment they touched. Melting. With her hand lingering in his for a moment too long, she realized he was staring at her, awaiting a reply. If only she could remember her name.

“Uh..um. Casey. My name is Casey.”

“So, Casey,” she asked, summonsing the bartender to order her a drink. “Care to tell me the name of the fool I need to thank for standing you up tonight?”

“Nah,” she grinned, “fuck him.”

“Language!” He laughed with a crooked mile, “Language!”

“Again, are you offended?”

“Not in the least but Casey?”

“Yes?”

“The last thing I want to think about is you fucking him.”

“I’m not the type of woman that gets picked up at bars,” she teased.

“But there’s a first time for everything,” he winked. And there it was again, that adorable little laugh. “So, what do you say? Wanna get a table… no strings attached… we can just talk. I can already tell you’re fascinating, and I’ll be mad at myself if I let you go.”

Casey looked at her watch while flirtatiously biting her lower lip. 

“Sure, Tobias.  Lead the way.”

The Boogeyman - Based on a short story by Stephen King comes this supernatural horror film starring Chris Messi and Sophie Thatcher.

June 9th

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts - Steven Caple Jr. (Creed II) takes over the directing duties from Michael Bay in this Transformers film based on the Beast Wars storyline. The film is set prior to the Bay films in 1994 and stars humans like Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback alongside the Autobots, Maximals, and Terrorcons.

Flamin’ Hot - Eva Longoria directs this biographical comedy-drama about the origins of Flamin’ Hot Cheetos for Hulu.

June 16th

The Flash - The Scarlet Speedster races onto movie screens with his first feature film and brings along Supergirl, General Zod, and a par of Batmen. The big selling point for the film, loosely based on the Flashpoint storyline, is the return of Michael Keaton to the cape and cowl 21 years after Batman Returns.

Elemental - Pixar is back with the story of a fire element, Ember, and a water element, Ripple, who meet and fall in love in a world filled with the elements of nature.

June 23rd

Asteroid City - After a limited release the prior week, Wes Anderson’s newest film will be released wide on June 23rd. Along for the ride with Anderson are Jason Schwartzman, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Hanks, Jeffrey Wright, Tilda Swinton, and another dozen or so actors and actresses that we don’t have room to mention.

No Hard Feelings - Jennifer Lawerence stars in this hard-R coming-of-age sex comedy (a genre rarely seen in theaters anymore). Andrew Barth Feldman, Matthew Broderick, Laura Benanti, and Natalie Morales co-star.

June 30th

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny - Harrison Ford is back on Dr. Henry Jones, Jr. in this fifth installment of the Indiana Jones series. James Mangold takes over directing duties from Steven Spielberg in what billed to be Ford’s last outing on the adventure-find professor of archeology. 

Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken - From Dreamworks animation comes this new fantasy action-film that feels part Luca and part Onward.

Now for a quick look ahead to July, my top picks for next month are Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One and Oppenheimer.

A write-up of my thoughts on my Oakcha shipment, mostly for Nova's benefit. I haven't smelled any of the originals besides love... don't be shy, so these are my opinions based only on what's in the bottle.

Ruby 34, inspired by Chanel No. 5 Grand Extrait Baccarat.

Top Notes: Aldehydes, Ylang-Ylang, Neroli, Bergamot and Lemon

Heart Notes: Iris, Orris, Jasmine, Rose and Lily-of-the-Valley

Base Notes: Civet, Sandalwood, Moss, Vetiver, Patchouli, Amber, Musk and Vanilla

One of Mom's favorites.

My thoughts: fresh, clean, lightly floral, fruity. it's weird that I like this since I don't care for no. 5 in general. 4/5

Emerald 13, inspired by The Spirit of Dubai Shumukhj.

Fragrance Notes: Amber, Sandalwood, Musk, Indian agarwood, Turkish rose, Patchouli, Ylang ylang and Frankincense

My thoughts: complex, woody, dry. feels expensive. subtle. 3/5

Diamond 15, inspired by Morreale Paris Le Monde Sur Mesure.

Top Notes: Basil, Lavender, Lime, Mint, Rosemary, Bergamot, Grapefruit, Lemon, Neroli and Sweet Orange

Heart Notes: Fir, Juniper, Black pepper, Cardamom, Cinnamon, Madagascar cloves, Jasmine, Lemon, Indonesian nutmeg, May rose, Rosewood and Ylang-ylang

Base Notes: Cypress, Pine, Ginger, Cedar, Patchouli, Australian sandalwood, Vanilla and Vetiver

My thoughts: clean, herbal, complex, almost soapy? like carrying a bundle of plants. 3.5/5

Sapphire 7, inspired by Baccarat Les Larmes Sacrees de Thebes.

Top Notes: Egyptian cassie, Pepper flower, Pink pepper

Heart Notes: Jasmine, Geranium, Rose

Base Notes: Balsam, Myrrh, Amber

Pearl 22, inspired by Clive Christian No. 1 Imperial Majesty.

Top Notes: Bergamot, Sicilian mandarin, Ylang-ylang, Neroli

Heart Notes: Musk, Clove, Vanilla, Vetiver

Base Note: Sandalwood

One of Mom's favorites.

My thoughts: spicy, fruity, woodsy. not too dry, not too sweet. 5/5

Grey Santal, original.

Top Notes: Amber, Vanilla

Heart Notes: Leather, Jasmine, Sandalwood

Base Notes: Cedarwood, Guiacawood, Smoky Musk

My thoughts: smoky woodsy leather. 2/5

Dream Fuel, original.

Top Notes: Ambergris, Rose

Heart Notes: Pink Pepper, Berry

Base Notes: Oud, Patchouli

My thoughts: smells like clean linen... 2/5

Ukiyo, original.

Top Notes: Bergamot, Pineapple, Melon

Heart Notes: Patchouli, Dry Woods

Base Notes: Oakmoss, Ambergris, Vanilla, Leather

My thoughts: also intoxicating. too dry for me to wear, but I love sniffin' it. 4.5/5

Amber Aura, original.

Top Notes: Cardamom, Cinnamon and Bergamot

Heart Notes: Rose and Jasmine

Base Notes: Amber Extreme, Vanilla and Labdanum

My thoughts: delectably spicy. like I told you, I layered this with Heavens Speak, and it's divine. 5/5

Secret Duchess, inspired by Kilian princess.

Top Note: Lemon

Heart Notes: Green Tea, Ginger, Peach, Hedione, Jasmine and Apple

Base Notes: Marshmallow, Vanilla and Benzoin

My thoughts: very secret. I like it best after it dries down. 4/5

Heavens Speak, inspired by Kilian angels' share.

Top Notes: Cognac

Heart Notes: Cinnamon, Tonka Bean and Oak

Base Notes: Praline, Vanilla and Sandalwood

Miss Girl, inspired by MFK's Baccarat Rouge 540 & Tom Ford's Lost Cherry.

Top Notes: Bitter Almond, Sour Black Cherry, Saffron

Heart Notes: Warm Tobacco, Jasmine Sambac, Turkish Rose, Tonka Bean

Base Notes: Moss, Sandalwood, Rich Amber, Vanilla, Caramel

My thoughts: cherry syrup and almond extract. 2/5

Almost Nude, inspired by Kilian good girl gone bad.

Top Notes: Osmanthus, Jasmine and May Rose

Heart Notes: Indian Tuberose and Narcissus

Base Notes: Amber and Cedar

My thoughts: refreshing, light. 3/5

Madame Rose, inspired by Parfums de Marly Delina.

Top Notes: Litchi, Rhubarb, Bergamot and Nutmeg

Base Notes: Cashmere, Cedar, Haitian Vetiver and Incense

Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken, the new movie from Kirk DeMicco and Faryn Pearl, is out today.
