Why don’t you have X place or event?

We can’t fit everything on one page! This guide is mainly meant to be a way people new to Lowell can have a point of entry, and existing residents of the area can find new places they may have never tried or visited that are awesome. In effort to have people not show up to locked doors, seasonal or infrequent things have been omitted. Of course if you think we have missed something wicked important, or there is something new, let us know! lowellguide at gmail dot com.

Are these placements paid?

No! These are just my favorite places in Lowell that I want as many people to know about and experience as possible.

Why do you have links to Instagram, Yelp, etc?

These are often ways I gauge a new place, or investigate it further if I’m visiting a new place. The Instagram geotag is used to show things as organically as possible (and usually includes business posts anyway). I know people, especially some biz owners, hate Yelp. And I know I can’t control needlessly rude reviews, but my hope is the fact people get there from a hand-curated list will offset that. But, who knows!

Why do you have such limited information?

I just want an easily skimmable, digestible list of places. Adding social links seemed to not be distracting so I went for it. Also, half the fun of getting to go somewhere new is experiencing it for the first time, and not through someone else’s pictures or thoughts – so there’s that.
