#Trollhunters AU

Hi, ages ago @vindikaetion and I came up with a Trollhunters AU, and we kept meaning to work on it but other AU's took priority and this one started to collect dust, so I decided to share all my sketches I did aaaaaages ago for this AU :> Cuz I'm real proud of how I Troll-ified the guardians. Bunny is more of a mossy covered troll, Sandy is (obviously) a sandstone-like troll and Tooth is a troll with a gemstone like appearance! :>

(Not seen: North isn't a troll, he's a human who has worked with the trolls for years to keep them secret/safe).

Also if you can't read my awful handwriting, Hiccup is saying "For the glory of the Tsar, moonlight is mine to command".

ANYWAY the basic idea was that Hiccup is the Trollhunter (obviously) and finds out through his mentors that his best friend since kindergarten is a changeling. Unbeknownst to all of them, though: Jack has absolutely no idea he's a changeling.

When Jack finds out he's a changeling, obviously he freaks out and goes to the first person he thinks to confide in only to find out Hiccup has known this whole time and has been trying to distance himself thinking that Jack was a bad guy, and shennanigans ensue xD

So there'd be this whole mystery surrounding Jack and his origins, how he didn't know he was a changeling if it requires you to be born in the shadowlands etc to take over someone's life -- essentially they find out he was a new kind of changeling made by the Tsar (MIM, this version of Merlin lol) that didn't requre a human in order to shapeshift.

Anywhoozle there was a lot more lore and ideas that I don't wanna just dump in a single post, but feel free to send me asks if you wanna know more!

Also! It lives in my head rent free the idea that Astrid and Camicazi are sisters and I wanted to have that for this AU :D

oh em gee you guys!!! happy SEVEN YEAR ANNIVERSARY of the monster kids au's creation!!

to celebrate this momentous milestone, i spent the last month or so planning out references for the main trio, pulling new ideas as well as a lot of old concepts that i snipped and grabbed pieces from.

my plans for the following year are to really delve into the story and overall plot of the au- something that was always changing and hard to pin down, because it wasn't quite fully formed yet. well, better now than never, ajdnwjdjwjbd :3

I'm finished the Helga concept and feel calm 😌

I was too immersed in her design, experiencing many failures, but despite this, I still returned to this work to create the image of Helga that I imagined in my head

She is Halfdan's ex-wife. It is unknown how exactly they met, but it is known that they have two beautiful children, Azura and Freyr. After divorcing her husband, Helga lived far from the village, in the dense forest. Half the trolls came to her for love potions and fortune telling. Her hut contains many magical artifacts and books...

In the future I plan to create more art with Helga. Thank you for your attention!

Conquering the world in style ✨

I'm back! And I bring you a very stylish napoleonic era Strickler who is ready to take over the world (for the good of the changelings of course..). He is heavily inspired by the really wonderfoul 'memories of darkness' fic which I really recommend you to read! (I will post you the link here later from my laptop). He has no red cape but I think he makes up for it in style and of course with the bust of Perikles, the great Athenian Strategos from the Peloponnesian War (an archaeologist's dream come true 😉).

Trollhunters au where Trolls & magic were always public knowledge in arcadia, so when Jim becomes Trollhunter it's less a matter of "nobody can know about trolls" and more a matter of "nobody can know the new trollhunter is human, and by extension Jim Lake Jr"

He'd have the helmet from the get go, and the big concern from everyone would be that the new trollhunter is clearly a child, as he's much smaller than any previous trollhunter

Please love and favor my new character! I already have several ideas for his place in my story and for me, as a creator, this is the most important thing.

This art, like the previous one, was made in less than 10 hours. I spent one day just choosing shades and spreading them out. Although initially I planned to make his clothes in yellow and green colors, I suddenly changed my mind after seeing how it all didn’t fit together...

Finally posting Claire from my TOHxTOA Au ~ mostly because I haven't gotten around to designing the other characters yet.... and I really wanted her to be posted later, but ughhh I can't wait no longer!

Claire in my AU is both Hunter and Amity. [SPOILERS AHEAD]

She's in Oracle track at Hexside [or Acadia Oaks High].

She is a grimmwalker [which is only revealed later] of Morgana.

Suzy Snooze is Flapjack... so yall know what will happen to her.

She lives with her parents [the Nunez] and her twin younger brothers, Ernique and NotErnique.

Undercover however, she is the Shadow Changeling, right hand [wo]man to the Emperor [to-be-revealed who he is... though idk if yall can guess who I plan to use]

Basically, I headcanon that she goes to school during the day, and then works for the emperor's coven during the night [hence why she is always tired] and when she missed a school day, she's working full day.

Her parents would be onboard since they support the emperor, but I would make them stop supporting him once they find out his true intentions in the end. The parents also don't know she's a grimmwalker! They raised her as they wanted a daughter, and also serve the emperor haha.

Basically previous Shadow Changelings were raised by other people [to keep it like, less suspicious that she is a grimmwalker] - also from all the grimmwalkers, unlike Hunter, she's the least like Morgana - hence why she in the end is more of an individual than a clone.
