How has your "ferret training" been going? Have Zira or Raph ever joined you in your hairy explorations?

Nnnghhh... I've been neglecting it a bit, tbh. The novelty wore off after Zira took all the running tubes outta the cottage. Plus I stole my own keys at one point, hid 'em under the dishwasher*, then immediately forgot about it. Took me over a week to find em, Benelope wos NOT amused. *It wos part of a forgotten stash including three (3) of Zira's combs, an avocado pit, an umbrella (slightly chewed), and half--I repeat: HALF-- of an oven mitt! I've no clue wot I did with the other half and I'm more than a little afraid I ate it.

I heard Book!Crowley and Book!Zira will be playing over here in the future. Do they have separate accounts, and if so, what are their handles?

I could make them their own accounts but unfortunately when I answer asks in character that way it still reads as coming from my main handle which will only confuse everyone. I haven't figured out a way to RP with different accounts on Tumblr and suspect it has probably been made this difficult to discourage it for some reason.

The current plan is to answer any character-directed asks on this account with either a cartoon, or a short script style story (similar to how the Twitter RP threads would read.)

I'm still so disappointed about what happened to Twitter, but I'm hopeful that I'll find a way to RP the TTWBAD characters here.

If you want to send any of them a message (or specifically pester Anthony) you can do so at any time and I'll send the answer asap.

My question is about the Separation Anxiety part. Will you continue updating the story?

Yes! Absolutely!

I screwed myself over a bit when I originally blocked out the chapters because it turns out I'm balls at following a script. Half of Seperation Anxiety is already somewhat written because it happened on the twitter RP accounts. So much character growth happened for the book boys there that most of my readers never got to see. Now I can't write TTWBAD2 without addressing this gap because the book boys are in a much different place than they were at the end of TTWBAD. Trust me when I say TTWBAD2 needs to start with them all in a better position or it's gonna be an angstier story than what I want to I write...

So I took out a spreadsheet and figured out what key scenes were needed and then tried to shoehorn some tv boy stuff in there to bring them along for the ride aaaaaannnnnd can you believe it didn't work?!?

So after many conversations with my very patient beta reader, then periods of me hiding or wallowing because I didn't follow the advice of my very patient beta reader, I'm finally understanding that I can't plan these chapters out. I need to let it grow organically. It means letting go of the exact path the twitter book boys took, while still holding to the spirit of it, and to stop overthinking it.

The other end of things was that IRL got banger nuts this summer and only went GANGER FUTS in September when I was told I had 2 months to complete my Scouter training instead of my promised 12 (!!!)

Then I promised myself some stuff for Patreon in October that I've already had to widdle down. Then, last week, I got a head cold which turned me into a literal puddle of goo, incapable of writing or drawing due Tommy lack of cohesive form.

But GOOD NEWS

It turns out I'm further ahead in my Scouter training than I thought and I don't have to panic after all (long story), and it turns out I was doing Inktober-esque collections backwards and working too hard (long story (of my life)) and here's the best part!!

I'm visiting my parents in New Brunswick this week for Thanksgiving (Canada) and this means I'll be away from my very big (and very distracting) drawing tablet. I'm using this downtime to get back to writing and letting the story happen however it wants. With any luck I'll update soon with a story and nonsensical and meandering as this answer to your ask!

I think part of the reason why you’re not getting a lot of engagement on Tumblr is because so much of your content is scattered around Twitter and backed by a massively long ao3 fic. I LOVED TTWBAD but if I was just going from your tumblr I would have no idea who “Red” is. I’ve read through a lot of your RP blogs but it’s still hard to keep track of your lore since Twitter is basically unsearchable and reading replies is not always linear. I want to stay up to date with your TTWBAD story but I don’t know who half the characters on your Twitter are and I always feel like I’m missing context and that’s even worse on tumblr with long text posts. I totally empathize that building a fanbase is massively hard but your content is really not newbie friendly… or easy to stay up to date with. 😅 Maybe an FAQ would be helpful, or a reference page about your characters and story? Even if Tumblr isn’t the social media you stick with I’d love it if I could find my favorite new “Zira and Crowley” antics rather than losing them to the Twitter void forever….

You are probably right and I'm so sad that you're probably right because I have no idea how to fix it atm.

I know I planned to make some of the RP antics into one off fics but until then we may all be a bit SOL. Still, you've given me something to mull over and ppl smarter than me may help me better bridge the twitter/AO3 gap in the coming months.
