How has your "ferret training" been going? Have Zira or Raph ever joined you in your hairy explorations?

Nnnghhh... I've been neglecting it a bit, tbh. The novelty wore off after Zira took all the running tubes outta the cottage. Plus I stole my own keys at one point, hid 'em under the dishwasher*, then immediately forgot about it. Took me over a week to find em, Benelope wos NOT amused. *It wos part of a forgotten stash including three (3) of Zira's combs, an avocado pit, an umbrella (slightly chewed), and half--I repeat: HALF-- of an oven mitt! I've no clue wot I did with the other half and I'm more than a little afraid I ate it.

For years, I've been saying that ADHD is like having ferrets for brains, or being ferret-brained (credit for the metaphor belongs to the ferrets). Anyone who's both, a) observed ferret behavior, and b) been observed as at least potentially having ADHD will know this is simultaneously an insult, a compliment, and a paradox that is more felt somewhere in the vicinity of the spine as a resonating quiver than heard by the ears and understood by the conscious mind.

And if you have not observed the behavior of ferrets, humor your own curiosity at your own risk. Because you will then have the slightest idea of not knowing which is being complimented, insulted, or having a crisis of existentialism: the ferret, the human, the brain that might in fact be made of ferrets, or one of the many numerous deities it was decided might have been responsible for creating them all in the first place.

In all cases... you have my sympathies.

I would like to coin a new term: "ferret brain"

It describes any creature that possesses 200 IQ gigagenius intelligence when executing Felonies, Mischiefs and Crimes, but is an absolute dipshit in any other situation

Examples include: ferrets, weasels, crows, ravens, rats, cats, many breeds of dog, Homestuck fans and theater kids

when the commentary during the sprint was like 'you know, he could have been on five consecutive race wins now if he hadn't crashed out of the catalunya sprint on the last lap', I had to laugh because that's the pecco bagnaia experience right there isn't it. even when he's winning four races in a row, a part of your brain is still remembering the disaster that directly preceded it. when he got that track limit warning, I was convinced he was gonna mess it up. not because it's something he usually messes up, because it isn't - just because you're always waiting for something to go wrong and that seemed as good an opening as any. but no, apparently he's just in the bit of the season where he wins stuff. for whatever reason. or maybe he'll crash on sunday. who knows
