Pavo my beloved! Fanart for the Kingdoms series by @historical-kitten

So apparently when he was a young child, Pavo used to make peacock noises, so I thought “hmm … what if he still did that?” and thus this was born XD

I kinda changed Pammy’s designs a bit according to @thevintageducky ‘s depiction of them because their art is *chef’s kiss* please check it out I swear it’s so good

Tommy’s hair is so very fun to draw, because I can pretty much go apeshit with it XD

And here, here’s our boys screaming crying nearly throwing up because they were separated and thought the other was in danger. The third one is me, screaming right with them XD (thank god they reunited :’D)

Thomas has hands down best rizz out of literally anyone in the musem who’s not Larry. Like man’s not oblivious. Man knows Pavo wants him but is not ready and he waits for him. He threatens his abusive mother. He oozes rizz. I swear he knows the best pick up lines, too. And they come so naturally to him - Pavo will swoon. Troublerizzsome Tom fr.

Anyway I have a headcanon Pius and Thomas will get along amazingly well. Don’t ask how I know, I just know. They’ll vibe.

Read below if you want a small sneak peek of my next NatM fanfic in a scene with my OCs the Tribunus Tullus Fannius Pavo and often dirty prospector Thomas "Tommy" Night. Aka Pammy.

I won't reveal why Pavo is crying, that's for you to find out when Kingdoms of Stone is finished!

The Tribunus looked up and saw Thomas rapidly approaching him. The cowboy sat next to him and reached out to wipe his tears away with gentle, calloused fingers.

"Fanci? You alright, Sugarplum?" Thomas Night's voice was concerned.

Pavo did not, as a rule, enjoy being touched. It had been untrue with certain family members, whom he had even craved affection from, but anyone else caused a skin crawling sensation.

So why in the name of the gods and goddesses did even the touch of Thomas' fingers feel so right? Thomas was a cowboy with the tendency to be filthy, though he had been making an effort lately. And the feeling his touch gave Pavo was different than it had been with his family. Thomas' touch shot tingling warmth through him and made him feel safe and cherished.

"Thomas." Pavo tried to find the breath to tell him he needed to leave. Thomas had to leave. Even if part of him wished the cowboy with his gentle, callused hands would stay and never break contact.

Fannius means either Proper or Temple. I went with Proper. So Tullus Fannius Pavo means Protective Proper Peacock. 🦚
