You still remember the first time you met Tyler Galpin - he was nearing the end of his first shift at the Weathervane, and there had never been a more uncoordinated being pass through those double doors. Shaking hands and rattling mugs was a concoction that could only mean trouble, and even more so when a nervous boy bumps into a distracted girl and freshly brewed coffee is spilt down her shirt.

Ten minutes later you were slipping on a spare brown polo in the break room, opening the door to the worried boy with a sheepish grin, "That's one way to get a girl out of her shirt." He stared, speechless. Still shaken. Then you grinned at him, "It was a joke. I'm Y/N, by the way..."

He finally smiled at you, cheeks growing red, "Tyler." And that's when a beautiful friendship was formed.

A year later, and that same boy would bring you delicious pastries on the house as you sat at your usual booth, the smell of coffee overwhelming you in the best way possible. You would look up at him with curled-up lips and eyes adorned with admiration, only to be met with Tyler on the verge of absolute breathlessness.

The way your fingers brushed prompted electricity to spark, a warm sensation left to course through your veins and pump your heart so elatedly. The older you both got, the more time you spent together, it was obvious that Tyler was changing you. He was making you sick with beautiful butterflies in your stomach, and little to be known, you were doing the same to him if not more.

If asked, he would say that he definitely loved you. You were his friend and meant a lot to the boy. However, if you stared into each other's eyes any damn longer than you already have been, then you'd be more inclined to say that you were hopelessly in love.

Bad Wolf who is around forever because she exists in all of time and space technically- separate from Rose. She is Rose and Rose is her but Rose also lives in one finite timeline so they diverge. Bad Wolf that is just purely what Rose would become if she saw all of time and space, a product of what that knowledge and power did to her. Bad Wolf who is still so very much Rose at heart that she protects the Doctor while staying while out of sight. She's Rose, she doesn't want to hurt them. She knows that them seeing her- Rose who is not 'their Rose' anymore would be very painful. Bad Wolf who can't stand total isolation, who is drawn to the people in Rose's life, who underneath it all needs connection just like any other human. She's hesitant, just like she doesn't want to hurt the Doctor, she doesn't want to hurt others she cares about, but being alone for eternity isn't a viable option. So she reaches out, she reconnects with Jack, Mickey, Sarah Jane- and when she feels she can feign being 'regular Rose' well enough she even reaches out to her friends from before she met the Doctor. Her and Jack being lifelines for each other to stay sane. There's a lot of complicated emotions there about her having made him immortal but now they are the only stable thing for each other, the only one they won't lose.

Hello everyone! Once again I’m coming on here to post more surveys for my research paper, but this time for particular fandoms! Just as a reminder, I am currently doing research on fandom vocabulary and identity for one of my college classes this semester with the goal of getting my paper published. If you have the time, I would appreciate it if you could complete it if it applies to you!

I’m posting a lot of surveys, so if you see this one, it is particularly for: THE DOCTOR WHO FANDOM

This survey will remain anonymous and no personal data will be collected. It is being conducted for its potential benefits to individuals or humans in general. An expected benefit of this study is an understanding of fandom culture and its vocabulary. You are not likely to experience physical, psychological, social, or legal risks beyond those ordinarily encountered in daily life or during the performance of routine examinations or tests by participating in this study. Your participation is voluntary. You can stop at any time and can decline to answer questions if you do not feel comfortable answering them.

This survey consists of a demographic section and questions related to the Doctor Who fandom and its vocabulary. It will take about 30-45 minutes to complete.

I see a lot of people arguing that Wednesday only went to the dance with Tyler because Thing asked him for her and that’s a sign she doesn’t like Tyler but I would argue that it’s a sign she does, whether platonically or romantically. She had no reason not to dismiss Tyler when he showed up without warning. It was Thing’s fault - she could easily have said so, in the same blank emotionless tone as she always does, pushed past him and continued onto the venture with Eugene.

Instead, she willingly chose to follow up on Thing’s subterfuge even though it denied her the opportunity to follow through with her investigation, she willingly chose to dress up and then dance with Tyler, even those both of these things are not what anyone would have expected from her. She could’ve dismissed him, she could’ve stood in the corner sullen all night and ditched him at the first chance she had.

But she went with him. When she asked out Xavier, she did so because she was trying to avoid being caught snooping, but she had no similar reason to do so with Tyler.

Whether it be romantic or platonic, I do think she likes (liked?) Tyler and I think it’s a big disservice to Wednesday “I do what I want and don’t care how other people feel about it” Addams to imply she only went with him out of an obligation she had no hand in creating.

My biggest hope for Wednesday S2 is that in S1 they didn't have to include masters etc. in Hyde lore - Tyler and Thornhill could have been partners in crime or whatever, but instead there is a 100% power imbalance. I can't imagine season two with Tyler as an antagonist for more than one episode, not to mention calling him the villain-

when you haven't managed to wrangle the brainworms to try and watch the rest of nine's run but you still want fanfiction but nearly every one of the top kudos'ed fics has some variation of "the doctor/rose tyler"

blease i know rose is cool and i can't wait to actually watch her adventures with the doctor but i need to find characters i recognize at the main focus of fics for right now
