Unity College Environmental Career Fair 2016 - On Tuesday, Unity College held its annual Environmental Career Fair and over 100 companies and organizations were slated to participate.
It was a great day on campus as students from America’s Environmental College had a chance to talk to employers who specialize in environmental and ‘green’ jobs.
In most of my blog entries, I talk about what makes Unity College Unique and I was struck with a thought while taking the photo above. Everyone pictured above is a graduate of Unity College. The majority of them returned to Unity College today as part of their career, in search of the next environmental leaders from Unity College.
Being alumni of Unity College, they know the education that students receive and they want to hire those students for their company. That says a lot about the education they’re receiving from America’s Environmental College.

Friday, in the midst of a snowstorm, students from Beth Arnold’s Winter Pursuits class learned techniques of cross country skiing. How cool would it be to be able to cross country ski and get credit for it at the same time? That is your typical class at Unity College. It’s one of the things that makes it so great here.

Unity College basketball plays final home games - The Unity College men’s and women’s basketball teams played their final home games of the 2016 season on Thursday night. Neither team came away victorious, however, those in attendance enjoyed themselves just the same.
The women’s game was first, followed by the men’s action. There were over 200 people in attendance who sounded more like 2,000 at times. Students and staff cheered on the Rams until the final horn.
The game marked the final home game for Unity College standout Eddie Kopacz (Thompson, Conn.), who earlier this year scored his 1,000th point. He finished with 39 points last night against UMaine Augusta. Earlier this season against NHTI, he poured in 47 points. Kopacz scored 1,438 points during his outstanding career at Unity College.
Unity College is not Division I and players are not here on basketball scholarships. However, I have been to more than my share of Division I basketball games over the years and I saw more spirit, pride and hustle at the game last night than I saw at many of those Division I games. To make, that makes it Uniquely Unity! I am so glad that I decided to attend last night’s game.
