Guide to Using Afterpay
Afterpay is an app and service that allows you to split payments for items purchased at select retailers, both online and in retail stores. Your total for qualifying purchases is broken into four separate and equal payments that are billed over the course of six weeks.
This approach to buying things can be a convenient way to purchase more expensive items and pay over time without taking out a loan or opening a traditional credit card. It can also be a way to buy essential items if you’ve hit a financial snag and need a little bit of breathing room until your next few paychecks. If you’re interested in getting started, below are some steps to use the app:
Download the App
The first thing you need to do to take advantage of these payment plans is to download the app from your preferred app store. Once installed, you’ll need to set up an account on the app.
This process requires you to enter some personal information and your credit or debit card number. This is the information that will be used to make your payments. There is no approval process to sign up, but there is an approval process for each purchase. Newer app users may face enhanced scrutiny.
Look for Retailers
After you have your account set up, you will need to look for retailers that allow you to use the app for purchases. This can be done by looking at the payment page on most retailer websites. In-store checkout areas often display signage stating that they accept these payments. If you’re ever in doubt about the legitimacy of a retailer’s signage or online notification, you can contact the app developer for clarification.
Complete Your Purchase and Make Payments
Once your purchase is approved, you will pay the first of your four payments on the spot. From there, you will make an additional three payments over the next six weeks, with one payment automatically coming out of your credit or debit card account every two weeks. You can also make manual payments to reduce the total amount due.

“15 Tips for Earning and Saving Money in 2024!” & More!
The Power of Reciprocity: Building a Supportive Online Community
In our digital age, we're all striving for success and recognition. However, true fulfillment comes from giving back and supporting one another. Let's explore the importance of reciprocity in nurturing a positive online community.
Embracing reciprocity: When we give and receive support in equal measure, it creates a symbiotic relationship that benefits everyone involved. Instead of solely focusing on personal gain, let's prioritize lifting each other up.
Following Back: If someone follows you on social media, reciprocate the gesture by following them back. This simple act shows appreciation and fosters a sense of camaraderie within your online network.
Engagement Matters: Don't stop at following back—engage with your followers by liking, sharing, and subscribing to their content. Building meaningful connections is key to fostering a supportive community.
Leading by Example: By embodying the principles of reciprocity, you inspire others to do the same. Together, we can create a culture of generosity and mutual support in the digital realm.
Conclusion: In a world where self-promotion often takes precedence, let's stand out by prioritizing reciprocity. When we give back to those who support us, we contribute to a thriving online community where everyone has the opportunity to succeed.
With love always, Maria D.C. Santiago

Users should carefully evaluate the terms and conditions of each app before using them and also consider other alternative options like asking for a loan from family or friends, or negotiating payment plans with creditors. It's also important to keep in mind that taking a loan or cash advance can have a negative impact on credit score and may cause financial stress, thus it's recommended to use these services only in case of emergency.
In conclusion, Dave is a popular app that provides cash advances to help users avoid overdraft fees and make it through to their next paycheck. However, there are many other apps like Dave that offer similar services and can help users access cash quickly and easily in 2023

Convenience is what customers seek while doing banking
Bank customers are concerned about security, issues relating to trust and inefficient card services, according to a study done on the basis of customer conversations on social media:
Security concerns of bank customers are posing a major challenge for the banking industry today, a study, interestingly based on an analysis of some 85,000 customer conversations during 17 months in 2021-22 on major US traditional and neobanks, has found. The study covers changing dynamics in the banking industry and presents opportunities for brands to enhance customer experience. It was conducted by Delaware-based Cooltrack, a real-time customer experience analytics platform.
The study mentions that thousands of conventional and neobank customers are taking to social media to flag off instances of poor customer service and negative aspects of various US banks. Even though neo, digital or virtual banking is on the upswing, this sector too faces many critical concerns, the chief being the much-needed trust. The customer conversations involved traditional banks like Bank of America, Capital One, Citigroup, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase, PNC Financial Services, TD Banks, Truist Financial, U.S. Bancorp, Wells Fargo, and neobanks like Albert Corporation, Bank Mobile, Chime, Current, Dave, Go2Bank, Monzo, Revolut, Sable, SoFi and Varo.
ISSUES OF NEOBANK CUSTOMERS
The study says even with the hi-tech, sophisticated and cutting-edge digital banking solutions that have transformed the offerings, customers of neobanks are facing distressing experiences in account closures. “These customers have huge problems with security, fraud and refunds and neobanks have a massive challenge of creating trust and maintaining it. This overriding factor is to build confidence around safe accounts and access,” says the study.
CARD SERVICES LAGGING
On the other hand, traditional bank customers are concerned about card services, late payment charges and higher fees. “At the same time, security was also a cause of concern. The customers are looking for better card services and a reduction in various types of charges. Another aspect of the customers includes the card balance, getting a credit increase, issuing new cards, card information, and card delivery,” finds the study.
In the case of neobanks, 92.42% of the 3270 customer opinions about ‘Account Closures’ represented a terrible customer experience. Customers are shocked when they suddenly get a message saying their account is closed or deleted.
Around 73.07% of 3412 customer opinions about ‘security’ was negative, highlighting blocked accounts, resetting passwords, more vigorous verification checks and security guidelines.
And 93.40% of 3123 customer opinions relating to ‘fraud’ spoke about their money being stolen, fraudulent transactions, scams and fraudulent cards in their bank accounts.
Tumblr media
As much as 79.73% of 1865 customer opinions about ‘currency exchange rates’ were positive. This development is because traditional banks have a higher exchange rate than neobanks, indicating a growing appetite for mobile banking.
As regards traditional banks, card services are the biggest concern for customers. Of 6505 customer opinions regarding ‘card services,’ 58.20% have expressed a negative customer experience. Some customer concerns include automatic lowering of credit limit, not increasing credit limit and dropping credit score.

#share2steem [if i was able to signup with Varo +Chime to get a 75 + 50 dollar Amazon gift card+ free debit cards in the mail- I bet steem-engine could use them as a partner] I am getting this offer now to get paid Another 50 bucks to signup more people to chime. And I see no reason why I shouldnt post this to my Instagram faceboon Twitter and steem account to help people without bank accounts get one to use for crypto. I had gone without a bank account for years and I needed to start using one again to do basic things like sell things on Ebay or get a job with various delivery apps etc. >We’ll both get $50 when you open a Chime bank account and set up direct deposit! Get your paycheck up to 2 days early and say goodbye to ridiculous bank fees. Check it out: https://chime.com/r/zacharywilliams41 If it was this easy to get a bank account I feel like the fiat bankers are trying hard to compete with crypto but all they do is make it easier for us. I was able to connect this account via bank or debit to my Cash app and 2as able to buy 30 bucks worth if bitcoin for basically no fee! And I fan withdraw and deposit to btc main net and am not trapped in the btc app like Robin hood app. I always thought ripple would be the coin to get added to banks but I realize now it will just be bitcoin with segwit and lightening nodes. But lightening network will never work and instead eos will be used to scale bitcoin on chain... on the eosio main net chain using EBTC bitcoin in a smart contract traded as an eosio token- free transactions I suggest everyone uses cash app instead or buying and selling btc with coinbase ... why wait to spend your btc? Cashapp seems to work better than bitpay except no cheap bitcoin cash top up option yet. WORD COUNT: 1613
[PART ONE]
Tommy felt his head began to pound as his siblings and aunt argued over how they were going to do (Y/N)’s final send off. It had been a few days since Tommy’s whole world came crashing around him and now he had to deal with her funeral and the rest of his family. He hadn’t had the chance to properly come to terms of what happened and mourn but he was slightly grateful because he knew that the mourning process would be rough and destructive and he really didn’t want to do it anytime soon.
Arthur and John wanted to do it the traditional gypsy way but Polly and Ada wanted to do it the traditional English way. They were going back and forth loudly and Tommy wanted to scream at them, he was mentally and physically exhausted and all he wanted to do was put his youngest sibling to rest without any drama.
Tommy already had problems sleeping ever since he came back from the war but ever since (Y/N)’s death he hadn’t been sleeping at all. Usually if he drank enough he would pass out but that wasn’t even working at the moment, all it led to was him being slightly drunk at work the next day. So instead of sleeping all he did at night was lay in bed and look out of the window while memories of (Y/N) tortured him.
“Enough!” Tommy cut off the argument, “We’ll give her a normal funeral and burial then we’ll burn the vardo after. Okay?”
Tommy looked at his family waiting for their agreement and when they did, he stormed out of the room and headed towards the Garrison, desperately needing a drink. He guessed that one of his family members was going to confront him at one point and when Polly joined him in the snug with a bottle of whiskey and a glass ten minutes later, he wasn’t surprised.
“You decided on a normal funeral service. I’m surprised.” Polly spoke first.
“This way I can visit her whenever I want.” Tommy took a large gulp of his drink.
Polly’s heart clenched at Tommy’s reasoning, she knew that he was going to have the hardest time with (Y/N)’s death but now she doubted if he would ever recover.
“I think she’ll like somewhere that gets a lot of sunshine and is up high somewhere.” Polly said.
An location immediately came to Tommy at those words, he knew exactly where to bury her, “There’s a place just outside of Small Heath, large field on a hill overlooking the town. We’ll do it there.”
It was a place that (Y/N) constantly visited and found solace in, Tommy had brought her there originally and it became their place but as Tommy got busier with the company she went there by herself a majority of the time.
“Of course.” Polly finished the rest of her drink, “I’ll let you be.”
Tommy nodded his thanks and as soon as the door swung shut behind his aunt he poured himself another drink.
♣️♥️♣️♥️♣️♥️
Tommy stood in silence as Jeremiah read out the eulogy, he couldn’t hear the sobs coming from Aunt and sister as well as the sniffles coming from his brothers, he was trying his hardest but he was struggling to hold in his tears.
The funeral has been a small event, just the Shelby family, Johnny Dogs, Uncle Charlie, Curly and the Jesus’.
They had no reason for a big one, knowing that (Y/N) would have wanted the people closest to her to attend. As the coffin was lowered into the burial plot and people began throwing the flowers they had been holding into the plot, Tommy finally broke. His shoulders shook with the force of the sobs he was trying so hard to keep in, he made no effort to wipe the tears that were running down his face.
A hand on his arm pulled Tommy back into focus and when he looked to see who it was he found his aunt.
“We’ll meet you at the vardo.” She informed him, knowing that he’d want a few moments alone.
Once they left Tommy stalked forward to the grave and fell onto his knees,  not caring about the mud and finally let his cries free. He sobbed and screamed until his throat was raw, cursing the god that allowed this to happen. He took a few minutes to calm himself before he stood up and brushed the dirt off his trousers, when he turned around he was met with the hulking figure of Alfie Solomons. He had extended an invitation to the man but hadn’t expected his attendance.
“Alfie.” He greeted once he walked over to him.
“Tommy.” Alfie nodded, “‘m sorry for your loss.”
“Me too.” Tommy grunted.
“Blaming yourself doesn’t help anything.” Alfie informed in
Tommy lit himself a cigarette, “It’s hard not to Alfie.”
“Do you think your sister would have blamed you?”
“No. (Y/N) never held grudges.”
“And from what I have gathered, you were her favourite sibling.”
“Something like that” Tommy ‘s lips twitched
“Then she wouldn’t have blamed you.” Alfie theorised.
Tommy nodded, “You gonna join us on the other field?”
“Nah, you’re alright I’ll leave you lot to it.” Alfie declined the invitation.
“Thank you Alfie.”
Alfie nodded and patted Tommy on the shoulder, “Good lad.”
Tommy and Alfie parted ways and Tommy drove towards the field where Johnny Dogs had set up his own camp along with the vargo that held (Y/N)’s possessions.
When he arrived everyone was placing the flowers on the pieces of wood that surrounded the caravan and when they noticed him they stepped back from the vargo. Tommy made his way over to the crowd and stood in front them, building his nerve and clearing his throat,
“Our (Y/N) left this world too early but during the time she spent on here she made a mark and impact on pretty much anyone she met. She made me a better brother and person and when I was away fighting in the war, I kept thinking about the three year old that I left behind, the one that made me want to change the world.” Tommy paused, “She was the final piece that completed the family and that won’t ever change.”
Tommy headed over to Arthur and passed him the matches and motioned him to do it before walking over to the crowd and standing next to Ada, who immediately wrapped her arm around his.
“You doing okay?” She asked.
“Not really.”
Ada nodded and turned back to where varo, the wooden logs surrounding it were lit and the fire was slowly spreading. Tommy squeezed her hand comfortingly as she began to tear up.
The family watched as the caravan was lit alight for a few minutes before Johnny Dogs came around passing drinks to everyone,
“This is a celebration of life! We reminisce about the happy memories and events we had with the littlest Shelby, no need for the gloom!” He shouted as he walked around.
“Right, remember how she managed to convince me, Arthur and Tommy to buy her a book even though we had a strict rule about she had to finish one before she could get another.” John spoke up first. His story making everyone laugh
“She had the three of you wrapped around her little finger.” Polly laughed.
“Never could trick Ada though could she” Arthur grumbled
“That’s because she learnt those tricks from me. I’m immune to them.” Ada spoke up.
“All she needed to do was pout in your direction and you’d be offering to buy out the whole story. I know she managed to get whichever of you was picking her up from school a bag of sweets for her on the way home” Polly recalled with a smile, “Even though I strictly forbade you to do so.”
“Tommy was the worst! You’d always find them sitting in front of the fire sharing sweets at the end of the day.” Ada chimed in.
“All that sugar making her hyper before bed.” Polly rolled her eyes but smiled. “I made sure you were the one to put her to bed when you started to do that.”
“Tommy’s word was gospel, he told her to go to sleep and she’d go to sleep. “ John said
Everyone laughed at that, knowing how true it was. (Y/N) and Tommy were two peas in a pod.
“I remember when she was a baby she absolutely refused to be held by anyone other than Tom and Pol, screeched her little head off giving everyone on the street a headache until she back in one of their arms.” Arthur recalled.
“The amount of complaints we got.” Tommy laughed.
“What was her first word?” Michael asked.
“Tom!” The Shelby’s all exclaimed, laughing afterwards.
“Fuckin’ smug he was when it happened” John snickered.
“Don’t be jealous John.” Tommy chirped.
“Remember when Tommy found out that (Y/N) had been getting Michael to do her maths homework?” Finn spoke up, loving the stories of the sibling that was closest in age to him.
“I thought he was going to kill me!” Michael said, “I didn’t know it was her homework, she tricked me.”
“She was a good egg, too nice and kind for the horrible world.” Arthur mourned, “But she will be missed.”
Tommy raised his glass in the air, “To (Y/N)!”
“(Y/N)!” Everyone cheered.
The rest of the night followed in a similar fashion, drinks, food and good memories going around celebrating the life of a person very important to them.

dw ask game 1-36 and 38-100 DON'T ANSWER NUMBER 37 I DON'T WANT TO HEAR ABOUT CRYING
DaThanks, anon who is probably @truestoriesaboutme!
CHILDHOOD
1. Did you like DW as a child?
Depends. What do you consider a child? I saw Doctor Who for the first time when I was 16 or 17. Does that count? Let’s say that it does. I did enjoy it.
2. Your age at the time of the revival?
16.
3. First DW episode you ever saw?
An Unearthly Child. I wanted to watch it all in order! Still do! My first New Who episode was “Blink,” as forced upon me by @raisegrate. I did enjoy it.
4. Did you have any of the toys?
I didn’t at the time, but I do now. I have a couple of screwdrivers, a Fourth Doctor, an Ice Warrior, and not-quite-Legos of Doctors 1-11. (-WD)
5. Which DW character did you play on the playground?
N/A.
6. Monster(s) that scared you most as a child?
N/A. Nothing scares me.
7. Joke/story you didn’t get as a kid?
N/A. I get all jokes/stories.
8. DW opinion that has changed since you were a kid?
That the only way to watch it was from the very beginning. I eventually gave in and watched New Who before finishing Classic Who.
9. Who introduced you to DW?
Pretty sure I heard about it initially on a forum I went to called The Douglas Adams Continuum. That’s when I started watching the First Doctor. Again, @raisegrate showed me my first New Who. Eventually, I started watching New Who in its entirety with @catastrofries and they started watching Classic Who with me for @rassilonwatchathon.
10. Did you like Sarah Jane Adventures as a child?
Didn’t even know it existed as a child. But I liked it as an adult.
Read more under the cut. There’s a lot!
DOCTOR
11. Who is your Doctor?
One. He’s the first I saw and I’ve went through some of his more than once, due to the podcast, so he has a special place in my heart.
12. Your favourite Doctor?
It varies depending on the day. I quite like Two, Eleven, and Twelve, though.
13. Least favourite Doctor?
Possibly 5 or 13? More because they don’t get a whole lot to do, than them being bad.
14. Best regeneration?
Technically speaking, there’s something about that first one that is still so good. Emotionally speaking, Two’s regeneration is terrifying and I quite like Twelve’s speech before regenerating.
15. Do you like “Doctor-Lite” episodes?
Yeah! They’re all pretty good! Even “Love and Monsters!” Yeah, I said it! (The end is bad, but the rest is good.)
16. Who is the most human Doctor?
One calls himself human a handful of times. Does that count? If not, definitely Five. He seems the most like a regular guy in a weird situation out of all of them.
17. Best multi-Doctor story?
The Day of the Doctor, for sure.
18. Best Doctor monologue?
Eleven’s speech to young Amy in “The Big Bang.” That episode is just solid all around.
19. What do you think TenToo/MetaCrisis Doctor is doing now?
He’s definitely fucked off somewhere and abandoned Rose. He runs a cat cafe that is definitely a front for something, but no one can quite figure out what.
20. Best Doctor/companion pairing?
One/Barbara, Two/Jamie, Three/Jo, Four/Leela, Five/Tegan, (haven’t seen enough of Six, any of Seven, and I honestly don’t remember the companion for Eight), Nine/Rose (that’s the only option!), Ten/Donna, Eleven/Amy-Rory, Twelve/Clara, Ruth/Thirteen.
COMPANIONS
21. Favourite companion?
Classic Who: This is hard. Jamie? Sarah Jane? Leela? New Who: Donna Noble.
22. Favourite secondary companion?
Not sure what this means exactly... My second favorite? If so, I gave three for favorite Classic Who, so one of them. New Who: Rory.
23. Least favourite companion?
Classic: Ben Jackson or Peri. New: Ryan.
24. Best TARDIS Team?
Classic: Two, Jamie, and Zoe. New: Eleven, Amy, and Rory.
25. Most underrated companion?
I love Steven Taylor. I feel like he doesn’t get mentioned enough.
26. Most overrated companion?
Probably gonna get some hate for this, but Romana II. She’s good and I like her, but I was expecting a lot more. I honestly prefer Romana I.
27. Favourite companion’s family?
I love Rory’s dad.
28. Who should have been a companion but wasn’t?
Kamelion. AM I RIGHT? But seriously, Amelia Rumford from “The Stones of Blood.”
29. Favourite (canon or non-canon) DW universe relationship?
Amy/Rory.
30. Who did you not used to like, but really like now?
I hated Tegan when she first came on, but now I love her.
EPISODES
31. Favourite episode ever?
“Heaven Sent.”
32. Least favourite episode?
“Time-Flight” gave me a literal headache.
33. Which episodes do you skip?
NONE. Of course, I’ve not done any rewatches. YET.
34. Best two-parter?
“The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances” are the first New Who episodes that fully sold me on the show.
35. Historical, present day or futuristic episodes?
Give me the future and make it weird!
36. Episode that will always make you smile?
“The Myth Makers.”
37 HAS BEEN REDACTED.
38. Best run of episodes?
“Vincent and the Doctor” through “Day of the Moon” is pretty solid.
39. Best cliffhanger?
“Vengeance on Varos.” Hands fucking down.
40. Favourite Christmas special?
The answer to question 37. “A Christmas Carol.”
SERIES
41. Classic Who or New Who?
Yes please! (Though New Who will take this a little just because the pace is generally a lot better.)
42. Favourite series?
I’m not sure about Classic (I have a harder time thinking of them as different series), but New is definitely 5.
43. Least favourite series?
11.
44. Which series do you skip?
See 33.
45. Favourite series opening?
“The Eleventh Hour.” It’s just a lot of fun.
46. Favourite series finale?
“The Big Bang.” IT’S A GOOD SERIES.
47. Best series arc?
So I don’t sound repetitive and say Series 5 again, Clara’s arc in her last season is great.
48. Thoughts on series 11/12?
I find it largely boring and not well-written. Though there are some things I like! I love Ruth a bunch.
49. How much of Classic Who have you seen?
I’ve seen from “An Unearthly Child” to “The Two Doctors.” And the movie.
50. Who should have had another series?
Doctor: Nine. Or Eight. Or Ruth. Companion: Kamelion, but done better.
MONSTERS
51. Favourite monster/villain?
I love them Fuzzy Chicken Nuggets. (The Yeti.)
52. Most creative monster?
The Silence are an interesting concept.
53. Monster(s) that scares you most?
OAK AND QUILL from “Fury From the Deep.” Fuck those guys.
54. Monster you think is too easy to defeat?
I hate power level questions. Next.
55. Least favourite monster/villain?
I get really tired of the Daleks sometimes, y’all.
56. Monster you want to return?
Chumblies or quarks.
57. In your opinion, what makes a monster good?
The writing. You can do great things with most of them. Even the ones you dislike. Like, I hate the farting aliens, but they are occasionally used well.
58. Daleks, Cybermen or Weeping Angels?
If I had to pick, I’d say... Cybermen. Daleks are very samey and loud. Weeping Angels get less interesting every time they are used. But there’s a human element to the Cybermen that, when utilized, can be very effective and unsettling.
59. Best Dalek story?
The one where Two rides around on ones he made nice.
60. Best one time villain/monster?
I don’t know what it is, but whatever it is in “Midnight.”
ADDITIONAL MATERIAL
61. Torchwood or Sarah Jane Adventures?
SJA is more consistent, but the highs of Torchwood are higher.
62. Favourite Torchwood Team member?
Owen. But like... not season one Owen.
63. Which Torchwood death made you saddest?
See 62.
64. Do you rewatch COE or MD?
I haven’t rewatched anything yet. But I would rewatch COE before MD.
65. Favourite SJA Team member?
Clyde.
66. Mr Smith or K-9?
Mr. Smith is way more interesting. He had a villain arc!
67. Maria or Rani?
Rani.
68. Do you read the comics/novels or listen to Big Finish?
Some. I’m doing them as Patreon bonus episodes for @rassilonwatchathon. I haven’t done much though.
69. If you do, your favourite additional stories?
“The Chimes of Midnight.” I’ve listened to it twice.
70. Do you like DW analysis (video essays, fan theories, etc)?
I do DW analysis for @rassilonwatchathon AND The Dipp. So yes. My fave is TARDIS Eruditorum, though.
I’LL ANSWER THE REST AT A LATER TIME. I MUST BE WITH MY PEOPLE NOW.
