I saw in Kitali's about that she formed an adventuring party. Are you able to elaborate more on that; ie. who they were, what sort of adventures they did, how they joined the party, etc.?

(okay I have enough energy to be coherent about this lol)

So Kitali's original form was a tiefling ranger, who joined up with a bunch of other rangers and trained with them from a young age. They were actually the largest chunk of her backstory that I was able to salvage and retrofit to FFXIV! She joined up with them after leaving her mom to go off on her own, and basically got adopted by the extrovert of the group.

Jex - Hrothgar, rogue

Veliren - Elezen, archer

Orinn - Lalafell, warrior

The four of them were a unit for about two years or so before they were joined by a fifth member, a white mage from Gridania named Tirana, who Kitali ended up in a very imbalanced relationship with. Veliren and Orinn split off due to varying external responsibiities, leaving just Jex, Kitali, and Tirana. Right about now is when conflict is ramping up with Garlemald in Eorzea, and the three of them are both dodging conscription and picking up more and more dangerous jobs to make ends meet as people are going off to war.

One of these jobs went horrendously sideways, and the three of them scattered to the winds. To Kitali's knowledge, it was Tirana who sold them out to save her own skin, but she's never had any closure on that. Back on her own, Kitali made her way further into Aldenard and wound up in Gridania coming in from the eastern coastline near Gyr Abania.

She does eventually find Jex again in Bozja, though I still haven't done anything beyond Gangos so the details of that aren't set yet.
