Verification Code
Verification code is the authentication process that is used for validating the Authenticate  of the user while subscribing online for any subscription program it helps any service to have a bank free or automatic services signing up to any product or information online.  In this post I have had a different information on how to keep your identity secured online by using the verification code process. The process of verification code is used by several organisations like banking sector online authentication process and system email account service provider and internet service provider and so on. VoIP based application like WhatsApp, Hike and We Chat also take the advantage of a verification code process for authenticating user.
One user registers with any online service, a one time password is sent to the registered mobile number or an email address.
The authentication code is entered onto the portal on the login screen after the successful entry of the one time password the user is allowed to access their dashboard by following this practice several number of invalid access and fraudulent activities are being arrested especially in the banking sector.

Module 4: Hashing and Mac
The hashing mac activity can be found here: https://www.openlearning.com/courses/securityengineering19t2/modules/4/hashingmacs/
I have found that the verify code of the message: “PAYBOB100″ was all that was needed to calculate the verify code for the message “PAYBOB1000″
We just run through their formula one more time using the value for the missing “0″
As such the calculation is as follows:
verificationCode = (((( '0′ + prevcode ) * 521) % 10000 ) + 450 ) % 967
verificationCode = (((( 405 + 481 ) * 521) % 10000 ) + 450 ) % 967
= 122
Which is the final answer.
What we have seen here is a hash prone to a length extension attack.

There are thousands of guides telling you about SEO optimization. This is the first step to start the SEO.  Google Search Console is a way to talk to search engine and Google Search Console will provides the full detail about your website. From all the security checks to all the different errors, it is the best way to drive organic traffic to your website but the first step is to submit to it. Only after verification, you will be able to handle your site in Google Seach Console.
How  To Add Your Site in Google Search Console ?
Google has given many options to add your site in Google Search Console . Let me guide you.
Step 1:- After you log in to Google Search Console with your Google account. You will see an option on the right hand top  add a property.Click on that button. A site is considered a property in Google Search Console.
Step 2:- A Popup will come asking you to type the URL of your website and add.
Step 3:- It will take you to a page where you will see an option to verify your website. You can either download an HTML file and upload it to the WordPress directory or use other methods.
The recommended method is to use the HTML file. Just download that file to your computer and go to the cPanel of your web hosting account.
Go to cPanel>>files>>file manager>>upload the file using the “UPLOAD” button from the navigation menu shown below.
choose the file from your computer and upload it. After uploading, verify it by clicking on the button in the Google Search Console.
Alternate Methods.
Instead of doing it from the cPanel, you can use another method. Click on the “Alternate methods” and you will see many options.
The most effective one is to generate “HTML tag” and put it in the <head> tag of your website.
It will be a meta tag consisting the code for your website.
To add it on your website head, either you can use a plugin or add it manually in the header.php file of the theme. as shown in pic below.
After adding, click on the verify button and it will get verified.
There are many other options mentioned on the same page. If you have already installed Google Analytics on your website then the same account can be used.
Even your domain provider account can be used.
  Add Your WordPress Website To Google Search Console Using Yoast SEO Plugin.
So many users are there who depend on the Yoast SEO plugin for their website’s SEO.
If you also using this plugin, you would be happy to know that your website can be verified from that only.
When you use the HTML tag method, you get a <meta> tag to add in the head section of your website.
Let me give you an example of the code.
<meta name=google-site-verification” content=”verificationcode” />
You just have to code only the “verificationcode” and paste it in the plugin.
Just navigate to SEO>>Dashboard>>Webmaster Tools and paste that verification code in the Google Search Console field.
Save the settings and verify it by using the verify button from verification page from Google Search Console.
Now, you can see the growth of your website using Google Search Console.
To optimize your website for SEO, you have to add your website sitemap to Google. There are many plugins which generate it. And if you’re using Yoast SEO, no extra plugin is required.
Can you now add your WordPress website to Google Search Console?
You have seen many verification methods in this article, you can use any of them.
Some people don’t feel comfortable with the cPanel so they can skip the first method. Adding the meta tag is easy but can be tricky.
The easiest method is to copy the code and paste it to the Yoast SEO plugin. If you use any other SEO plugin, there are other options too.
What’s your choice to add your WordPress to Google Search Console? If you face any problem, feel free to drop a comment.

How to Build a Fancy Verification Code Component with React Custom Hooks
Tumblr media
In the world of modern web development, user experience and security are of paramount importance. One way to enhance both aspects is by implementing a fancy verification code component using React custom hooks. This tutorial will walk you through the process step by step, demonstrating how to create a visually appealing and functional verification code input field that engages users while ensuring data security. Creating a Secure Foundation To begin our journey in building the Fancy Verification Code Component, we need to establish a secure foundation for our React project. Follow these steps: Setting Up the Project - Initialize a New React App: Start by creating a new React app using the create-react-app command. Open your terminal and enter: npx create-react-app FancyVerificationApp - Navigate to the Project Directory: Move into the project directory using: cd FancyVerificationApp - Install Required Dependencies: Install the necessary dependencies for our component by running: npm install --save react react-dom styled-components This includes React, React DOM, and the Styled Components library. Designing the Verification Code UI Now that our project is set up, let's focus on designing the user interface for our verification code component. - Create the Verification Component Folder Structure: In the src folder, create a new folder called VerificationCode to organize our component files. - Build the UI Components: Inside the VerificationCode folder, create a file named VerificationCode.js. This is where we'll define our verification code input field and styling using Styled Components. import React from 'react'; import styled from 'styled-components'; const VerificationContainer = styled.div` /* Add your styling here */ `; const VerificationCode = () => { return ( {/* Code input field */} ); }; export default VerificationCode; Crafting the Verification Logic The next step is to add the logic that manages the verification process and validates user input. Implementing React Custom Hooks - Create Custom Hook for Verification Logic: In the VerificationCode folder, create a new file named useVerification.js. This is where we'll define our custom hook to handle the verification logic. import { useState } from 'react'; const useVerification = () => { const = useState(''); const = useState(false); const handleCodeChange = (inputCode) => { // Handle code input and validation logic }; const verifyCode = () => { // Verify the entered code }; return { verificationCode, isCodeValid, handleCodeChange, verifyCode, }; }; export default useVerification; Adding a Visual Flair Now that we have the foundational logic in place, let's add some visual flair to our verification code component. Styling with CSS-in-JS - Enhance the Styling: Open the VerificationCode.js file and import the useVerification hook. Use the hook to access the verification code state and validation status. import React from 'react'; import styled from 'styled-components'; import useVerification from './useVerification'; const VerificationContainer = styled.div` /* Add your styling here */ `; const VerificationCode = () => { const { verificationCode, isCodeValid, handleCodeChange, verifyCode, } = useVerification(); return ( {/* Styled input field */} handleCodeChange(e.target.value)} className={isCodeValid ? 'valid' : 'invalid'} /> {/* Verification button */} Verify ); }; export default VerificationCode; FAQs - Can I use this component in my existing React project? Absolutely! This component is designed to be modular and can be integrated into any React application. - Is Styled Components the only option for styling? While Styled Components is used in this tutorial, you can use other styling libraries or CSS modules as well. - How can I customize the verification code length? You can easily modify the verification code length by adjusting the validation logic in the custom hook. - Does this component include server-side verification? This tutorial focuses on the front-end component. For robust security, server-side verification is recommended. - Can I modify the appearance of the input field? Absolutely! You have full control over the styling of the input field and other UI elements. - Is the component responsive for different devices? The responsiveness depends on the styling choices you make. Ensure that your styles adapt well to various screen sizes. Conclusion Congratulations! You've successfully learned how to build a fancy verification code component using React custom hooks. By following the steps outlined in this tutorial, you've gained insights into creating a visually appealing and secure user interface. Remember to adapt and enhance this component according to your project's needs. Happy coding! Read the full article
