vkaz makes me insane Btw. kaz in tpp is like a snarling dog who’s first instinct is to maul because that’s what he’s learned. venom is like a giant dog that thinks he’s a lapdog and calms kaz’s freak. kaz is a dog labeled aggressive at the shelter and no one can get close to him without getting bitten but venom’s like “oh hello!”. tpp kaz addled with ptsd (i could say a lot about kaz in tpp as a representation of ptsd To Be Honest), oscillating between reason and rage and venom being steady, the patience……. kaz being “do not flinch when the wounds open. you must go to the outskirts and simply rip out the stitches” (marina tsvetaeva) and venom being “we cannot simply sit and stare at our wounds forever” (haruki murakami)

Venom and Kaz have me in a chokehold. but especially Venom. he's so dog-coded to me. not like puppy coded i mean ex-fighting dog coded.

he's someone who genuinely cares who was trained to be a completely different thing to the point where he couldn't remember what he was anymore.

in my head when him and Kaz learn the truth, it goes a little differently. Venom wants to be his own man, but as far as he knows, he's always been Big Boss. he's a fighting dog. affection isn't something he knows, even if at one point affection was more or less part of his nature. so he bites and snaps and thrashes like a dog in a muzzle. but he's not a violent dog. he doesn't know why he bites.

and Kaz is the only guy who gets it. because as soon as he starts learning more about BB he realizes just how radically different him and V are. V remembers to bring Kaz's sunglasses. he says shitty one-liners and cares about Mother Base. every time they've interacted, it's been nearly reverent; gentle and close. Kaz knows why V bites
