Ox Baker was known for his rivalry with Gorilla Monsoon, his catchphrase, “I love to hurt people!” As well as for the heart punch, the most feared move in professional wrestling. According to legend that spread wildly around the playground, several people hit by the heart punch died the next day of heart issues. This fearsome reputation was aided by a credible body count: the death of Alberto Torres in ring after the use of the heart punch (though it was actually an unrelated case of pancreatitis that was triggered by the ring) as well as Ray Gungel’s death by chest trauma right after their match. These stories only fed word of mouth. On several occasions, crowds would riot and swarm the ring when they saw Ox Baker prepare to use the heart punch, convinced they were watching an attempted murder.

jake design for my (currently a wip) spooky jake autumn fic, worshipped with wines and flowers, where Dirk is an (almost) greek hero, and Jake is the oracle that foresees his death.
