few things piss me off at my job more than having to deal with landlords. a woman just came in to complain bc apparently her tenants don't "clean the tiles well enough" and she wants the cheapest alternative possible to replace them. i can guarantee that grout has been in there for 20 years and you haven't bothered to maintain the property and now it looks old so you're going to blame the people you take advantage of and refuse to spend THE MONEY THEY WORKED FOR that you've taken off them to renovate a bathroom. instead you're just gonna put a bandaid over it all and put the property on the market for another 300 quid on top of that bc you've glued on some shower panels over the tiles. one time an old hag came in to ask about vanity units saying she didn't want wall hung ones bc you never know, tenants might sit on them and winked at me like i knew what she was talking about. and i had none of it. i do not entertain these people. i literally turned around and was like. idk i rent and ive never wanted to sit on my bathroom sink. and then told her the sink she was interested in was 400 pounds which made her gasp and walk out of the shop. like????? you charge double that per room for an 8 bed student flat that was probably paid off in the 60s and you're shocked at the cost of a basin???

Double Vanity Ideas For Small Bathrooms
Whether you’re looking for double vanity ideas for a small bathroom or just to update your home, there are many ways to give your space a face lift. There are under-mounted basins, wall-mounted sinks and slim-legged stands, as well as a variety of styles to choose from.
Floating style
Floating style double vanity ideas for small bathrooms are all about making the most of the space you have. Adding a floating vanity will help you create a space-saving design that’s not only sleek and stylish, but functional as well.
Adding a floating vanity to a small bathroom will increase the amount of space you have for cleaning. This means you’ll have more space for storing your towels, toiletries, and other bathroom essentials. In addition, the floating design will help you clean easier because you won’t have to fumble around for clutter.
A floating vanity also helps to create an illusion of space. It extends the flooring all the way to the wall, creating a room-wide effect. In addition to creating the illusion of space, the design also adds texture to the room.
Wall-mounted sinks
Having a double vanity in your small bathroom can be a great way to enhance your bathroom space. Using a double vanity offers the benefit of more space for storage. Also, having a double vanity allows you to wash your hands or brush your teeth more easily.
Having a double vanity can also increase the value of your home. Double vanities are available in a wide variety of styles and sizes. In order to find the perfect vanity, you should first assess the space in your bathroom.
If your bathroom is small, you will want to maximize the space you have. The best way to do this is to install a vanity in a corner. This will allow you to store items on two walls, maximizing your bath space.
Slim-legged stands
Vanity units are a great way to add character and style to your bathroom. They also provide great storage space, which is an important part of a bathroom. You can choose a vanity unit with a single basin, double basin or even a central unit.
For small bathrooms, a slim-legged double vanity offers an extra bit of counter space. The floor space is also more open, which can make a bathroom feel larger. The wall-hung unit also exposes the flooring below, making it appear more spacious.
The designer used concrete and black details to make the space appear more modern. The contrasting wall paint and black and white patterned shower curtain add a touch of sophistication.
The designer added a wooden built-in shelf and black concrete-looking floor tiles. This creates a modern look that is not overpowering.
Under-mounted basins
Adding a double vanity to a small bathroom can really transform the room. Not only can you create more storage space, but you can also add a stylish new look to the room.
You might think that a double vanity would be too big for a small bathroom. While that’s true, there are ways to make it work.
The first option is to use an inset basin. These basins can be mounted beneath the countertop. You can also use them with a wall-mounted faucet. Inset basins come in many different styles and sizes.
The Crosswater Bauhaus range features inset and under-mounted basins. You can get an inset basin that’s shaped like a bowl or an oval. Both styles keep the room looking neat and organized.
Customizing your vanity
Choosing a vanity for a small bathroom requires you to consider how the bathroom will be used and the space available. There are a few different ways to customize a vanity.
One way is to purchase a freestanding vanity that has shelves. This allows you to store toiletries and personal items. This vanity is also easy to set up and install.
Another option is to install a wall-hung vanity. This style will allow you to adjust the height of the vanity to fit your needs. These types of vanities are more affordable than other styles.
If you’re on a tight budget, you may consider purchasing a pre-made vanity. These come with all the fixtures and hardware installed. They’re also often less expensive than custom vanities.

Frequently Asked Questions
What’s the ROI for a bathroom remodel in Metro Vancouver?
A bathroom renovation can be very costly. It can be very costly, but if done right, it can make a huge difference. HomeAdvisor says that mid-range bathroom redesigns can yield an average of 70% return on investment. However, upscale bathroom renovations typically have an ROI of 60%. This means that if you spend $20,000 on a mid-range bathroom renovation in Metro Vancouver, you can expect to see a return of $14,000. On the other hand, if you spend $40,000 on an upscale bathroom remodel, you can expect to see a return of $24,000.
Your actual ROI will depend on many things, such as the quality of your renovations, current market conditions and the location of you home. If you plan on selling your house in the next few months, a bathroom remodeling project is worth looking into. A bathroom remodel will not only make your home look better to potential buyers but also increase the value of your home.
Even if you aren’t planning to sell your home soon, a bathroom remodeling project can still make sense. A bathroom remodel that is well designed and executed can improve the value of your home as well as increase its enjoyment. A bathroom remodel can be a great option, regardless of whether you want to increase your home’s worth or create a more stylish and comfortable space.
How can you modernize an old bathroom?
Bathroom renovations are usually simple. Sometimes, though, these updates don’t suffice.
It may be worth it to renovate your bathroom completely. This is especially true in homes built before 1980 where the plumbing system can cause leakage and water damage.
It doesn’t need to be overwhelming. With some planning and preparation, you’ll find yourself well on your way to a beautiful new space. Here are some tips to help you tackle this project.
A plan is the first step. It doesn’t make a difference if you hire experts or manage the whole job yourself.
Also, you need to think about whether you would rather renovate or build a new layout. To ensure proper drainage, you will need to knock down walls if the former option is chosen.
After you have decided on the direction you want to go, create rough floor plans and measure every room.
Next, pick a color scheme. While neutral colors such as black and gray are popular choices, these won’t suit every home. Instead, look for colours that complement your existing decor. For example, if your house features lots of wood, you could incorporate warm shades like red, orange, yellow, and gold.
It can be hard to choose a palette, but it is possible. It is important to allow enough time to shop for furnishings, appliances and accessories.
Also, ensure you check your local building codes. You may need permits depending on where you live. In certain instances, you may need a permit from your municipal hall. If you’re unsure what code applies to your area, contact your local building department or call the Building Inspection Division of British Columbia, and they can help you with your specific project.
Reputable Bathroom contractors can help you decide the best way to proceed. They can advise you on the type of permits you’ll need and guide you through the process. Also, don’t forget tax deductions. A tax credit may be available for those who invest in significant renovations, particularly if they are energy-efficient.
How long does it take you to remodel your bathroom in Vancouver?
A bathroom renovation takes between four and five working weeks. It is possible for the project to take longer if you need permits or inspections. Bear in mind that the timeline may also be affected by the size and complexity of your renovation.
What does a bathroom renovation cost to increase your home’s value?
Bathroom remodels usually have a return-on-investment (ROI) between 60% and 70%. This makes them an excellent choice if you are looking to increase the value of your home. The extent to which your bathroom remodel will increase your home’s value depends on many factors. These include the scope of work, quality of materials used and the location. For example, a high-end bathroom remodels in a luxury neighbourhood is likely to offer a higher ROI than a more modestly appointed one in a more affordable area.
What trends are expected for bathrooms in 2023
The bathroom industry is evolving rapidly because consumers are demanding better quality products at lower prices.
Bathroom design trends will be driven by sustainable and safe materials that are also healthy.
This includes low-flow toilets, waterless urinals, dual flush technology and smart home systems.
This trend will also be focused on health and well-being, providing access to showerheads and other devices that encourage better hygiene.
Can mosaic tiles be used in a modern bathroom?
It would be best if you avoided mosaic tiles in modern design unless you are using them as your accent tiles. They can make your bathroom look dated or cluttered. Use mosaic tiles as accents to your shower, tub, or sink if you like the look.
Which 2023 bathroom design is the most popular?
The 2023 bathroom design will feature natural materials like wood and stone as well as steel and glass.
Bathrooms will have more water features such as spas, showers, and baths with whirlpools and jets.
There will not be as many mirrors as there are now and there will be more space for socializing or relaxing.
The bathroom will be designed around the user’s lifestyle and preferences.
The bathroom will place a strong emphasis on hygiene and cleanliness.
It will include technology such as heated towel rails and automatic faucets.
The bathroom will offer various storage solutions, including cabinets, shelves, and drawers.
Integrated lighting and controls make it possible to easily access the components in the bathroom.
The bathroom will be both energy-efficient as well as eco-friendly.
The bathroom will have a comfortable and inviting atmosphere with warm and welcoming people.

How to hire a contractor in a bathroom remodeling project
From finding the right contractor to hiring them, getting estimates and signing contracts, the bathroom remodeling process is complex. You don’t want any mistakes and you want to get the job done quickly. Here are some tips that can help you in your search for the right contractor to handle your bathroom remodelling job.
Start looking online. Bathroom remodels are not difficult to find. Websites like Houzz and Trustedpros can help you find contractors. Most sites will allow you to enter your zip code and see which local contractors have received good reviews. Make sure to check their portfolio and google reviews.
Ask your friends and family. Your friends and family probably know someone who did a bathroom remodel recently. Ask them if they would recommend a contractor if they are willing to share their experiences. You may even get a referral bonus if they are willing to share their experience.
Look into forums on the internet. For example, there are several bathroom remodelling forums on Facebook where people post pictures of their projects and ask for advice. Reddit is another popular place, as well as Pinterest.
Do extensive research. Before paying anyone to do the work, check their credentials. Check their licenses, insurance, as well as any other pertinent information. Take note of any previous jobs. Are they skilled in bathroom renovations? Do they have experience in working with spaces of similar dimensions?

Some Details on Bathroom and Toilet Fittings
Mixer Taps: These parts are the smallest among the others, yet they stand out the most. They must be selected so that they complement the bathroom's decor and provide the right water pressure. Tall basin mixers, shower mixers, and basin mixers are popular products in this category.
Bathroom Vanities: Storage spaces, which may accommodate a variety of materials, dictate the bathroom's design. Bathroom designs may be made to seem more contemporary by using wall-hung units or more classic by using floor-standing ones.
The Significance of Kitchen Faucets
As food is prepared in the kitchen, it needs a variety of accessories and should be kept tidy and organised. The sink is one of the kitchen components that is used the most, thus it has to be of the highest calibre.
Since a bathroom is a private area, its design and amenities should be relaxing. With high-quality fixtures, one may create a spa-like atmosphere that encourages mental calm. Bathroom Ideas For Small Spaces
Choosing ensuite bathroom ideas can be difficult, especially when the bathroom is located in a small room. However, there are a few tricks that can help to create a functional and attractive bathroom. Whether you are updating your current en suite, or designing one from scratch, you will want to consider a few important elements.
The bathroom is the perfect space to have some fun with shape, texture and pattern. The right fixtures and fittings will go a long way in helping you to achieve this look. For example, a countertop basin with a simple silhouette will give your bathroom a sleek and contemporary look.
The bathroom is also a great place to have some fun with colour. This can be achieved by using contrasting colours to create the illusion of space. In addition, adding plush area rugs adds texture to the room.
Another small bathroom ideas ensuite is to use mirrors to bounce light around the room. This can be done by installing an illuminated mirror, which will give your bathroom a luxurious touch. In addition, using hand-painted details will give your bathroom a personal touch.
Using wallpaper in your ensuite is a great way to inject some pattern and colour into a small room. Using a wallpaper with a pattern that mimics the shapes of the shower and bathtub will create a very cool effect.
Using LED backdrop lights in the bathroom will also add a touch of class. In addition, a large, unframed mirror above the sink will also do the trick. Using a floating bench in the bathroom will also add some symmetry. A low hanging pendant will add a dash of offbeat charm to the room.
Using the right bathroom vanity is essential if you are planning to make the most of a small space. Whether you go with a pedestal sink, or a countertop basin, be sure to check the water pressure and check that the sink is draining properly. The right taps will also help to create a luxurious look.
A bathroom should be a place to relax and unwind. A bath is a great way to achieve this, but it's also important to have a good shower. If you're using a shower to get your bathing on, you might want to consider installing a bath screen. These are also available in a range of materials, including stainless steel.
In addition to the bathroom's main features, a good ensuite bathroom should also have a stylish toilet. If you have a small en suite, consider installing a back-to-wall toilet. This can be a more elegant option than a wall-hung toilet. You could even add a chic black toilet seat to the mix.
A good ensuite bathroom should also have a clever storage solution. A built-in cabinet is a smart and stylish way to use space, as is a hidden mini fridge for skincare products. A shelf or storage unit in an alcove can also be a very creative way to maximize the space in your bathroom.
Aesthetic Home Renovations will take care of everything your needs in Home Renovation Services in Australia. Call our team today to book and we excel in providing a vast range of building solutions.
