Of course he was concerned. But that wouldn't stop him from being a beacon of warmth. If a person wasn't tired, they weren't tired. He'd always believed it important to try to rest, even when you weren't. But that didn't necessarily mean sleeping. They could just rest like this for a while.

"If I had to choose between sleeping and eating, I'd choose eating. But sleeping is fun too. You get to snuggle your blankets and pillows all night long, even if you don't particularly sleep."

He'd just been watering some flowers outside. It wasn't often that anyone, especially a human, came to his place. It was so out there compared to the rest of Minasato. Not that it bothered him, ever the extrovert, Kounosuke was always pleased to have company, whether for long periods, or short ones.

"Hey you." Only moments pass, before that curious frown turns right upside down. Big ol' smile from this tanuki. "What's up?"

"First of all, I'd really love to know how he can eat so much and still stay so muscular. I've tried the whole working out thing. A long time ago. It gave me muscles, yeah, but what's the point if you can't see them? If people looked at the both of us side by side, they'd think he took better care of himself.

As a person, he's really nice though. To me, at least. As long as he wouldn't judge me for my size, I wouldn't mind hanging out with him more."

He was curious as to what would be thought. There was a sweet scent in the air, and the flowers themselves were clearly very well taken care of. Everyone in the village pitched in, to make it a safe space for any who came there.

"But I know you can understand plants in a way I can't, so... do you think they're happy?"

“Planting flowers is a delicate process. If you don’t want your hands to get all dirty, you have to wear gloves. But I never wear gloves.”

He’s got his trusty elephant watering can with the lazy eyes, and in the bag around his shoulder, plenty of seeds. While Kounosuke’s garden may not have compared to his friend Juuichi’s, it was quite sizable. The tanuki lowered himself, so that he was sitting on his knees.

“So, do you wanna garden with me? It’s lots of fun. I have a little water well, since here in Minasato we get all our water from a natural spring, rather than a water company.”
