Hey, I just read through all lf ypur Tamers posts and concerning your dislike of Ryo (totally valid btw) you're not gonna believe this, he wasn't even a Tamers character to begin with. Ryo was actually a character of the adventure canon that got his own side game series n the wonderswan, you can even see him during an episode of 02 during Ken's flashback so yeah canon, he literally was only added to boost ratings since the producers thought that having a familiar face would entice views.

So yeah, that's the main reason he was included, and yes, Hirokazu and Guardromon totally should have been Justimon.

YEAH I saw on the wiki myself that Ryo was originally a wonderswan character! I do wanna give the benefit of the doubt that I'm sure in the actual wonderswan games Ryo (+ Cyberdramon) are much more interesting compelling characters by virtue of the games actually you know, being about them, but in tamers his presence just overall made the writing of the show. Worse. If he had shown up only for the first two episodes he appears in I would have thought Wow, Cool cameo! But once he became a recurring character that just felt so incredibly forced into every scene he was in….. it annoyed me!

There is a beautiful alternative world out there where Hirokazu and Guardromon were Justimon together and the show is better for it
