Katrina Kaif expresses grief over loss of make-up artist Subbu, Anushka Sharma shares candid photos - Anushka Sharma had recently worked with Subbu and was also seen at his funeral before she took to Twitter and shared the grief of losing a veteran make-up artist The whole of B-Town mourned the demise of make-up artist Subbu. He fought a battle with cancer since some time and left for the heavenly abode at 1 pm on Saturday. Subbu's funeral was attended by the likes of Madhuri Dixit-Nene and Anushka Sharma. Anushka Sharma also took to Instagram to share her experience with Subbu and express grief over her demise. Katrina Kaif was also seen sharing her experience on the same platform. "He was kind, he was humble, he was gentle and he was brilliant . A maestro, as I always called him. Subbu will always remain one of the most loved and respected makeup artists in the country. He made me look beautiful every time he touched my face with his exceptional skills. And will be remembered for all the beautiful work he has left behind and all the lives he has touched. A wonderful son and brother and a beautiful soul has left us today. May you rest in peace Subbu," wrote Anushka. Meanwhile, Katrina Kaif expressed, "A great loss ,so unexpected, cannot believe it .....such a incredible talent ,The first make up artist i ever worked with, taught me so many things , by my side for so many shoots ,days ,weeks months . Korean artist Kim Tschang-Yeul (1929 - 2021) has been painting water drops for more than 45 years. Born in then Japanese-occupied North Korea, Kim began his career as an artist in Seoul before moving to New York City.

Building upon the fluid shapes with which he was already experimenting, Kim then began painting water after moving to Paris. A surreal example can be found in the moody Événement de la nuit (1972), where a single oversized water drop hangs, its shadow projected against the dark ground. Within the droplet is a reflection of the window of his studio. According to the artist’s son Oan Kim, his father’s “eureka moment” occurred early one day in the studio when he sprayed some water on the back of a painting. Upon seeing the water droplet shining in the morning light, he knew he had found his subject. Similarly, Waterdrop (1974) features a single drop, this one running down the bare canvas rather than hanging midair. Light illuminates the globule, casting a realistic-looking shadow across the surface. In Waterdrops (1974), another painting from the same year, multiple small beads of water appear to sit on raw linen. The trompe-l’œil effect, facilitated by an airbrush, would continue to be favoured by Kim.
