Being in the law field vs. my absolute refusal to stay at the office later than one hour after five or work until midnight on a file.
#Hahahaha#It’s awful.#And every time I try to keep work-life balance and boundaries I get told I’m terrible it’s not going to fly etc etc#Well either it flies or down the line my mental health deteriorates and I don’t get anything done anyway.#Listen I get that people in this field are workaholics but I’m not.#I have no ambition. I just want to make enough money to be able to do the things I care about.#But I also know that when I have no work-life balance I get insanely depressed and then the OCD goes into overdrive and my anxiety just.#Takes over everything.#‘You’re an articling student welcome to the life’ okay and? I hate it.#I hate that all these CPLED courses emphasize mental health and work-life balance and then the practice is just ‘haha die’#It’s like. I literally was up until 2 last night because I didn’t want to go to work today.#I hate this.#I want my nine to five where I can go the fuck home after and not have to work once I leave.#And I know that’s not how life works but then do I really want to live that?#text#chey.txt
