public history.
jonah doesn't remember his childhood besides playing conker's bad fur day at way too young of an age. his childhood is a lot of that - doing things he's too young to be doing, like staying up until 4am and watching adult swim. becoming well - acquainted with happy tree friends, watching family guy with a pacifier still stuck in his mouth. at some point it shifts; jonah's parents are deemed too young, too unfit to care for him - and he hops around the foster system in florida. it's a blur of unfamiliar faces, unfamiliar settings; of never fitting in, of never retaining friendships.
sometimes he winds up in georgia; sometimes higher north. there's nothing particularly wrong with jonah, he's just a kid. a little weird, fixated on any screen put in front of him rather than playing with other kids or even physical toys, but that's all. just introverted, that's what his social worker would tell families. maybe they wanted extroverted kids, not him. and that was - it was fine. the longer jonah goes without a long - term home, the more withdrawn he becomes. no point in trying to impress some family, no point in doing tricks like a dog. he's not a dog - he's just jonah.
eventually he's put in a group home, a rag - tag of other children that jonah can only presume are also seemingly unwanted. it's the quickest he's warmed up to a group of children, and maybe only because they're around one another 24 / 7. no sense of privacy, or peace; jonah once wrestled a kid down the stairs for breaking his only dvd of harold & kumar go to white castle ( jonah became obsessed with white castle after viewing the movie ).
they - the group of kids - go to new york. jonah's still not sure whose idea it is, but there's no objections from him. he loves new york city, like, conceptually. spiritually, he's there. he wants to eat a hot dog from times square. they're caught within the week, and jonah's almost positive that if he'd eaten one more hot dog, they would've had to pump his stomach. they don't, but their group home splits up. which is just as bad, if not worse.
eventually jonah enters the home of the not - vonneguts. they're good people, he guesses. they're - old broadway stars or former acrobats or something of the like. they remind him of the burlesque "roommates" from coraline. he likes them, despite their intensity. and jonah's - doable. good enough. they want to move to massachusetts, something about an old victorian that's captivated their eyes - they want to turn their home into a year - round haunted house. jonah says, that's cool. they adopt him, and together they move to hollow creek.
kids keep asking jonah why he's not that tan for someone from florida. the reality is that they're right; he just spends most of his time tucked away in his room, coding simple games of cat catching mouse, and then mouse twisting into unimaginable horror and eating cat. and rewatching the cat in the hat live action. in a small town like hollow creek, he's still a nobody. as he goes throughout high school, that's mostly his reputation. the weird, quiet kid from florida who doesn't really look like he's from florida much at all - does he even know mickey mouse? the answer is no; he'd never been to disney world ( nor would he ever want to; a permanent grudge against Big Mouse ).
he does have friends; a small group of equally weird kids, who he usually ends up making weird, flash!browser video games for. he even goes on a date, once or twice - usually as a dare on the other person's side. it doesn't bother jonah how he thinks it should bother him, but maybe he's just used to being unwanted. he puts most of his energy into programming, into the films he consumes, the video games he analyzes. he's not valedictorian, but he does get a scholarship to MIT for computer science.
college is - different. better than what he expected; he grows out from his awkward phase and into a semi - awkward one instead. but suddenly it's charming, instead of embarrassing. there's people who share all of his weird interests, who he can spend hours debating on the symbolism in sonic games with. it's good for him, he thinks. it has to be good for him. he stays all four years, visiting hollow creek every holiday to spend them with his moms, or sometimes just to see his old friends.
but then college ends, and jonah realizes that none of his internships have led to him actually picking up any jobs. maybe he didn't network right; that's probably it - charming awkwardness doesn't mean instant - job charisma. he moves back to hollow creek, a bit miffed and a bit embarrassed. freelances programming, works on his own video game ( in the works for several years now, as the only developer, visual artist, soundtrack artist, etc. ), moves into a semi - haunted house with a handful of roommates. it's - fine, just not the life jonah expected to have after literally graduating from MIT. but that's just how things happen, sometimes. and jonah thinks that's okay.
details.
has never been a risk taker in his life. even speeding makes him nervous. is the first person to object to "adventure", and is perfectly fine staying at home, staying where he is. it's probably why he's stuck in hollow creek.
tense when things don't go as planned, or when things derail from what's already in his mind. just gets stressed easily! pretends to be extra casual, very laidback, but is really just kind of an anxious freak ( said lovingly ).
drugs / dissociation; jonah smokes too much weed but it's almost expected of him and his roommates. the house constantly smells like skunk, there's a bong that's used daily yet cleaned never on their coffee table. he has a tendency to dissociate afterwards, purposefully doesn't bring it up to his therapist because he really doesn't want to quit smoking.
not a big partier; it takes a bribe to get jonah to attend any mass social event. wouldn't have attended his prom if he wasn't promised a perfect reenactment of carrie ( spoiler: his friends lied to him out of love, and nobody was humiliated or harmed ).
depression; "it's fine" is almost his catchphrase. even when he's bothered, or annoyed, it's always "it's fine". terrible at displaying his emotions, and usually bottles them inside until he needs to take a depression nap for two weeks. the antidepressants are supposed to help, but they don't, not really.
he's only a semi - skeptic. he doesn't really believe their house is haunted, but likes being able to afford rent, so he pretends to be scared more than he is. still hates when things go bump in the night. is terrible at handling horror movies. prefers comedies. do not put a bug near him, he will cry.
the small amount of friends that jonah does have, he's extremely loyal to. like, friends until death, probably. it's just harder to make friends as an adult, and jonah doesn't really want to go through that trouble. plus, he actually enjoys their company.
had a phase where he wanted to be a film major, wanted to be a director; wanted to make something grand. but the love for film just wasn't there - he still fakes it, because he thinks it makes him look "cool", but the truth is that jonah will always be a freak for video games. it's his true passion, the only thing he really wants to do with his time besides troll reddit forums.
is a terrible driver to the point where he shouldn't be allowed on the streets with a car. so he rides a bike instead, and is still a community menace. has to wear knee guards while riding after a particularly bad incident involving the elementary school's playground.
works at the comic book store purely for the discount. his manager suspects that he hides away the limited and first edition comics from the general public so he can buy them after his shift, but it's never been confirmed.

Sebbie, I just gotta say, "Wedding Day" had me kicking my feet, twirling my hair and giggling like crazy!!!!!!!!!
But oh man, imagine the honeymoon with Bob though!!
You two decide to go to Key West, Florida for the honeymoon. You're about two steps away from the beach and your little cottage is turquoise with peach pink shutters and a little white porch. You and Bob go looking for seashells during the day and a long walk at sunset before heading back to the house.
In the morning he'll go out early and pick oranges from the trees in the garden and make a fresh pitcher of OJ for the morning. At night Bob will get some fresh fish from one of the markets, cover it in blackening spices and stick it on the grill for dinner. You and him will make some kind of tropical drink to have with dinner and when the dishes are all done and put away, you two often find yourselves dancing to Bob's Jimmy Buffett playlist until you two are too tired to stay awake.
At night, you both lie together in bed with the screened-in windows open, listening to the peepers, the breeze rustling the palms, the roar of the ocean and occasionally a thunderstorm. When you both wake up to the sunshine and the smell of a fresh rain from the night before, you and Bob are often in the mood for the slow, lazy sex that comes with it just being the two of you. It's almost every morning that the two of you are completely lost in each other, Bob's slow and gentle thrusting making you squirm a little on his cock.
There were three smiles that morning, but you didn't know it......you, Bob and who would eventually become your first little one.
Sebbie, the yearning hours are particularly strong this week. I'm praying for spring!!! (lol).
aaaaaaah my love! i’m so pleased to hear you enjoyed it! thank you so much for your sweet words 💗
but oh MAN am i imagining the honeymoon with bob because i’ve been to key west and i want to stay there FOREVER. it was so dreamy and picturing that with bob and everything you’ve described, especially the morning sex and laying in bed at night with the screened-in-windows open!!!! you’ve got me on the floor.
you know bob would be breeding you like a feral dog <3
the yearning hours are crazy this week, i feel you my love! but thank you so much for this wonderful thought, i’m going to treasure it forever! 💌

so I have a request and if you don't feel comfortable writing it you don't have to....but if you want, could you write something fluffy for Bull, Toye, or Nix? I've been getting a lot of shit about my weight and how I'm built (I have really broad shoulders and a smaller waist, but I'm considered "overweight" even though a lot of it is muscle and I'm just thick lmao) and it's been really rough and your writing always makes me feel better lol <3
Yikes honey, I'm sorry to hear that. I'm always happy to write something regardless so no worries at that end. I know shit like that can be tough, but as always, there will always be a light at the end of the tunnel

You and Nix were more than excited to be going on vacation
Nix's family had invited you to an estate in New Jersey, but when he found out it was a high society, stiff upper lip sort of event, Nix knew that neither of you would fit in
Because you guys were more of the bohemian set that anything else, as his grandmother had put it (she had been too and adored you for it)
So Nix got two tickets to fly down to Miami, FL
And from there you drove to Key West
His grandmother had left him the keys to the place and told him that it belonged to the both of you now
You saw it and your jaw dropped!! It looked just like the Ernest Hemingway house with the old school New Orleans style balconies, the gardens and the palm trees
And the best part was that the beach was just a few steps away
Your shell collection definitely grew after you two moved in
Shells and different colored glass bottles, that is (lol)
Nix couldn't help but notice that you were getting tanner by the day
The two of you would play at the old Steinway piano in the music room after dinner
And when you had kids of your own, you and Nix would play along with them
But the first place you always took them was to the beaches
Because it was the place where you and Nix had the best memories
And still do to this day

Former U.S. President Donald Trump hosted Kanye West at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida alongside Nick Fuentes, a Holocaust revisionist who has openly questioned the number of Jews killed by the Nazis.
The meeting has not been confirmed by Trump, though Axios and the New York Times both reported Fuentes attended dinner with Trump and West and spoke directly to the former president. West would later say that “Trump is really impressed with Nick Fuentes.” The meeting would be perhaps Trump's most notable association with extremists with histories of explicit antisemitic remarks, days after declaring his 2024 presidential candidacy.

Professional caterers have years of experience handling events of all sizes and styles. Whether you’re hosting an intimate gathering or a large-scale celebration, they know how to manage the logistics, timing, and presentation of food seamlessly. Their expertise allows you to relax and focus on your guests while they take care of the details.
2. Customized Menus
One of the biggest perks of hiring professional caterers is the ability to create a customized menu that suits your event. Whether you’re looking for something traditional or innovative, catering companies can tailor the food offerings to match the theme, dietary restrictions, and preferences of your guests. From farm-to-table options to gourmet street food, the possibilities are endless.
3. Elevated Presentation
It’s not just about how the food tastes; it’s also about how it looks. Professional caterers excel in providing visually stunning presentations, whether through elegant buffet setups or beautifully plated dishes. This adds an extra layer of sophistication to your event, making the food a focal point and conversation starter.
4. Stress-Free Event Management
Planning a party can be overwhelming, but having a reliable catering team helps reduce stress. Caterers manage everything from menu planning to setup, food service, and cleanup. This allows you to focus on enjoying the event rather than worrying about what’s happening in the kitchen.
5. Food Trucks for Unique Catering
For those looking to add a fun, trendy element to their event, food trucks for events in West Palm Beach offer a unique alternative to traditional catering. Whether you want gourmet street food or specialty desserts, food trucks provide an interactive dining experience that your guests will love.
The Rise of Food Truck Catering in West Palm Beach
In recent years, food trucks have surged in popularity as a catering option for social events. They provide a casual yet chic alternative to formal dining, allowing your guests to enjoy a variety of delicious, freshly made meals served right from the truck. In West Palm Beach, food truck catering has become particularly trendy for weddings, birthday parties, and outdoor events.
1. Variety of Options
Food trucks offer an incredible variety of cuisine, ranging from comfort food to international flavors. Whether your guests are craving tacos, burgers, sushi, or vegan delights, there’s likely a food truck that specializes in that dish. This makes it easy to cater to different palates and dietary needs.
2. Interactive Experience
The food truck setup encourages interaction among guests as they line up to order their favorite dishes. This casual approach breaks the ice and adds a layer of fun to the event, making it more social and engaging. Plus, it allows guests to enjoy fresh, made-to-order meals.
3. Flexible Locations
Food trucks can set up just about anywhere, making them ideal for outdoor parties, corporate events, or even beachside gatherings. They add a whimsical yet professional touch to the event while freeing up space at your venue for other activities.
4. Cost-Effective Catering Solution
Compared to traditional catering services, food trucks can often be a more affordable option while still delivering high-quality, gourmet food. With the flexibility to choose a truck that fits your theme and budget, food trucks provide excellent value without sacrificing taste or presentation.
Choosing the Right Catering Service for Your Party
Selecting the right catering service is crucial to making your party a success. Here are some tips to help you choose the perfect caterer for your social event in West Palm Beach.
1. Assess Your Event Needs
Before you begin your search, assess the specifics of your event. Are you hosting a formal dinner or a casual outdoor gathering? How many guests are you expecting? What type of cuisine do you want to serve? By identifying your needs, you can narrow down your options and find a catering company that aligns with your vision.
2. Review Menus and Specialties
Look for catering companies that specialize in the type of food or service you’re seeking. If you’re planning a laid-back, outdoor event, consider hiring food trucks that serve gourmet street food. For more formal occasions, opt for a company that offers plated meals or elegant buffets. Many caterers in West Palm Beach provide sample menus, allowing you to review their offerings before making a decision.
3. Check Reviews and Testimonials
Online reviews and testimonials are invaluable when choosing a catering company. Previous clients’ experiences can give you insight into the quality of food, presentation, and service you can expect. Look for companies with a track record of successfully catering social events in West Palm Beach.
4. Ask About Customization
Customization is key to making your event unique. Ask the catering company if they can accommodate special requests, such as themed menus or specific dietary restrictions. A caterer willing to personalize your menu will go the extra mile to make your event special.
5. Schedule a Tasting
Many caterers offer tasting sessions where you can sample their food and assess their quality firsthand. This is an excellent opportunity to ensure that their flavors, presentation, and service meet your expectations.
How to Create a Memorable Catering Experience for Your Guests
Now that you’ve chosen the right catering service, it’s time to focus on making the dining experience unforgettable for your guests. Here are some tips to ensure your catering is the highlight of your event.
1. Interactive Food Stations
Instead of a traditional buffet, consider setting up interactive food stations where guests can customize their meals. This could include a build-your-own taco bar, a pasta station, or a sushi rolling table. Interactive stations add an element of entertainment while catering to diverse tastes.
2. Cocktail and Dessert Pairings
Offer cocktail and dessert pairings to create a gourmet experience for your guests. Pairing signature drinks with complementary desserts not only enhances the flavors but also adds a touch of sophistication to the event. This works especially well for evening parties and receptions.
3. Themed Menus
If your event has a specific theme, work with your caterer to create a menu that complements it. Whether it’s a beach party with tropical flavors or a retro-themed gathering with classic comfort food, a cohesive menu will tie the entire event together.
4. Incorporate Local Flavors
Incorporate local West Palm Beach flavors and ingredients into your menu to give your guests a taste of the region. This could mean adding seafood options, tropical fruits, or Cuban-inspired dishes to the menu. Supporting local food suppliers also adds an element of authenticity to your event.
Conclusion: Make Your Event Unforgettable with the Right Catering Service
When it comes to hosting an unforgettable party in West Palm Beach, top-notch catering is a must. With the growing trend of social events catering West Palm Beach and the unique appeal of food trucks for events in West Palm Beach, you can create a memorable dining experience that will leave a lasting impression on your guests. By working with professional caterers, you’ll ensure that the food becomes a highlight of your event, leaving everyone satisfied and talking about your party for years to come.

Very late "Tuesday" post!
Hello, all!
I am going to try to make this a quick little post (but who are we kidding!), since I am already a day behind. I posted on Saturday, recounting our fun experiences at Särkänniemi, celebrating Rowan's birthday weekend. Well, the next morning we went to FlowPark, which was a ropes-course/zipline place in at the north end of the nature-area/neighborhood called Pyynikki here in Tampere. Rowan said he wanted to do two things for his twelfth birthday: go ziplining and go to the spinning restaurant atop the tower at Särkänniemi, a restaurant called Ravintola Näsinneula. We did both of these things over the weekend!
I did the zip-lining with Eric and the kids and did two routes; the kids did like six or seven! I tell ya, it is a full-body workout and maybe I am just too old or too out of shape for it! I should say, it is the ropes course part that is hard. The zipping through the trees, along the wire, after you've finished the ropes-course route, is easy. But, there are all kinds of challenges and obstacles (hanging nets to climb, suspended boards to navigate across, etc.) along one's way on each route. It was really hard! But fun, too. The kids had such a ball, and Rowan was enjoying himself so much he decided to miss tap on Sunday afternoon so he could stay at FlowPark for longer. I've got to say, this setting for the zip-lining park was so gorgeous. Some of the harder routes had the long-span zip-line right adjacent to the (a) lake and so the sun was twinkling on the water as folks were zipping by.
After zip-lining, the kids had a quick ice-skating training session at Tesoma, and then Alia and I met the kids and Eric at the Ravintola Näsinneula. What a fantastic restaurant! Truly a "special occasion" place. It had certificates from the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs on the wall, and that made me think of Eric's late dad, Alan. He was part of a Chaîne des Rôtisseurs group in West Palm Beach that went to Chaîne restaurants; Alan was a real gourmet -- an amazing cook, I've been told!
So, the Ravintola Näsinneula was a spinning restaurant at the top of a tall tower. It did one rotation every 45 minutes. The views were jaw-dropping! The menu was a set menu, and Eric and I got the vegetarian option, Alia got the reindeer option (!!!), and the kids got the children's fish option. The adult vegetarian option has an amuse-bouche course (forgive my lack of savvy on fine dining lingo-- I am trying my best) and then a salad (beets and chanterelles) and then the main course, which was a sort of falafel ball with squash and a sublime sauce. Then, we had a pre-dessert (parsnip ice cream!) and then the actual dessert (apples with flowers in a caramel sauce, with some kind of crumble). It was such a magnificent, memorable meal. Rowan was delighted. The views were incredible. It was also a very late night, so when we got home, the kids went right to bed -- no fuss, no hyper-ness, just sleep.
Monday was Rowan's actual birthday! We had bought lollipops for him to take to his classmates. I had bought him a fruit covered cream cake at the Tampereen Kauppahalli (which is the big indoor market hall) on Friday, because we thought we were going to have it during the family Zoom call on Saturday, but we didn't, because we had to do that from the amusement park. I made Rowan, per his request, a zucchini cake with cream cheese icing for Monday night, and I did my best to do some sort of "Emerald City" theme, since he is reading the Oz series right now. And bless Alia's heart; she lugged six books in the series from Detroit, through Istanbul, to here, for his birthday (plus three Pound Plus chocolate bars from Trader Joe's, three cans of Campbell's condensed soup, for the tuna casserole Rowan wanted for his birthday, like 160 bags of PG Tips decaffeinated black tea, an alarm clock, two bottles of Purpose face soap, and miscellaneous other things I asked her to bring). Anyway, for dinner Monday, we had tuna casserole and the cakes and a salad. And then it was time for presents!
Tuesday was the second day I got to go to Finnish class with Eric; enough people dropped the class at the Red Cross that I got a spot! Fulbright encourages Fulbrighters to take a language course and I was not able to get into one at the University, so I was relieved that a spot opened up for me at the Red Cross. There are about twenty people in the class, from all over: Ukraine, Tanzania, Mexico, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Cyprus, New Zealand, France, and probably more places I am not remembering! The teacher, Carita, teaches the whole class in Finnish. I knew some Finnish (a tiny bit) already, but I still feel like I am starting from scratch. There are some very weird language facets in Finnish. Perhaps I will go into this later, sometime!
And perhaps the last thing I will say this week is that, miracle of miracles, I have my Nordea bank mobile app all set up now and I have paid the bills for the kids' activities!! This is a real triumph! Two Fulbright monthly stipends and my travel reimbursement have gone into my account, so now we can actually transact here via mobile bank transfer -- and we're in!! Also, we went for a nice, drizzly hike/walk through the woods while Cece was at gymnastics on Tuesday night, up in Tesoma. We arrived (per Eric's planned navigation) to a very small ski hill (like, one headwall), near a mountain bike park. But, walking through the forest was mossy, green, tree-root-criss-crossed -- and beautiful!

Bora<<3
Boracay Island is well-known for its immaculate beaches and exciting nightlife. But beyond the popular tourist destinations is a side of Boracay that is just waiting to be explored; it's a rich tapestry of adventure, culture, and undiscovered jewels. White Beach, on the west coast, is surrounded by palm trees, bars, and restaurants. Bulabog Beach on the east coast is a popular water sports destination due to strong winds. Nearby, the observation deck on Mount Luho provides panoramic views of the island. Offshore, coral reefs, and shipwrecks support a rich range of marine life. The island is only composed of three barangays namely Balabag, Manoc-Manoc, and Yapak. Come along with me as we set off on an unforgettable voyage to discover Boracay Island's true essence, away from the tourists and cliches. How was our experience? Is it really that overrated?
Last summer of the year 2022, our family decided to fly and visit Boracay Island located Western Visayas region of the Philippines. After less than one hour up above the sky, we finally stepped afoot at Caticlan Airport. We then rode a tricycle for Php50 per head going to the Jetty Port. My dad then paid for everything at the counter— from environmental fees to transportation fees. After that, we found our seats on the ferry boat, and within a few minutes of waiting we set sail to the Island which took us less than 20 minutes. When I stepped off the boat, I was welcomed not by bustling crowds, but by the calm rustle of palm trees and the salty breeze of the sea. We then rode an E-trike going to our accommodation. There are several hotels (both high-end and low-cost) in Boracay; it all depends on your budget, but you can absolutely organize your trip to fit inside it. We only stayed for two days and three nights, which was quite brief, since my Dad had business to work on back in Manila. After we checked into our rooms and unpacked our belongings, we had a late lunch at one of the restaurants at Station 1. After dining, we went for a walk around the area and took some photos. Since we were only staying for a brief moment, we planned how we could savor each day and make memories. For our first day, we walk and walk and walk to explore the shoreline of the island. The vista was truly soothing and breath-taking. After our stroll, we return to our hotel to recover. In the evening, we opted to eat dinner at Gerry's Grill, located in Station 1. After dinner, we relaxed at the beach and played on the sand. We also decided to take a sip at the infamous bar restaurant Epic— which was a blast! After that, we decided to sleep and rest because tomorrow would be a long day. On day two, we decided to go island hopping and participate in some water sports. We decided to book a tour guide and as early as 8:00 AM we started island hopping. We were able to visit all the beaches on the Island! Each beach on the island has its distinct appeal and attraction, from the busy shoreline of White Beach to the quiet coves and immaculate sands of Puka Shell Beach. As you moved from one beach to the next, you were rewarded with stunning views of turquoise oceans, craggy cliffs, and swaying palm trees. Each stop along the trip provided us with the option to participate in a range of water sports and activities. There were plenty of amazing adventures to be had, whether snorkeling among colorful coral reefs, kayaking around quiet lagoons, or paddle boarding in the mild surf. Throughout the day, our tour guide provided intriguing insights about the island's history, culture, and natural beauty, complementing our trip with local knowledge and stories. Leaving the tourist-packed White Beach, we arrive at Puka Shell Beach, a peaceful length of golden sand noted for its profusion of natural treasures. With each step, I collected tiny puka shells, admiring the island's raw beauty. But the island that really had me was the Magic Island. This is because, I was able to do

Whether you are an avid explorer, a nature lover, or a culture enthusiast, this comprehensive guide will take you through the island's most captivating tourist spots and essential activities that should be noticed.
Tumblr media
Chocolate Hills: A Natural Wonder
Perhaps the most iconic attraction in Bohol, the Chocolate Hills, is a geological marvel. These over 1,200 symmetrical mounds cover an area of more than 50 square kilometers. The grass surrounding the hills turns brown during the dry season, giving them a look akin to chocolate. The best vantage point to appreciate this magnificent view is from the Chocolate Hills Complex in Carmen, where you can climb a viewing deck for a panoramic view.
Tumblr media
Panglao Island: A Beach Lover's Paradise
Panglao Island is well-known for its world-class diving locations and white-sand beaches. It is connected to the main island by bridges. The most famous is Alona Beach, which has a lively nightlife and a range of food alternatives. For those seeking a more serene environment, Dumaluan Beach provides a quieter atmosphere. Diving enthusiasts will find Balicasag Island, just off the coast of Panglao, an underwater paradise with coral gardens and diverse marine life.
Tumblr media
Loboc River Cruise: A Glimpse into Bohol's Culture
A trip to Bohol would only be complete with experiencing the Loboc River Cruise. You will be treated to vistas of nipa huts, coconut palms, and people going about their everyday lives as you glide over this emerald-green river. A visit to a floating restaurant, where you may savor a buffet dinner accompanied by live music and cultural displays with traditional Filipino dances and songs, is the cruise's high point.
Tumblr media
Tarsier Conservation Area: Encounter with the World's Smallest Primate
The Tarsier Conservation Area in Bohol, Philippines, stands as a sanctuary dedicated to the preservation and study of tarsiers, one of the world's smallest and most endangered primates. Situated in the town of Loboc, this conservation haven spans an area where these nocturnal creatures can live in a habitat closely resembling their natural environment. The initiative aims to protect the Philippine tarsier, Tarsius syrichta, from the brink of extinction by providing a safe space for breeding and research, away from the threats of deforestation and human disturbance.
Tumblr media
Historical and Cultural Sites: A Journey Through Time
Bohol also boasts several historical and cultural sites that tell the story of the island's past. The Blood Compact Shrine in Tagbilaran City commemorates the first treaty of friendship between the East and the West. Meanwhile, the centuries-old Baclayon Church, one of the oldest stone churches in the Philippines, displays Spanish colonial architecture and religious artifacts.

For those looking for an adrenaline rush, Bohol has plenty to offer. The Danao Adventure Park offers a variety of activities, such as zip-lining across canyons, spelunking in caves, and kayaking along rivers.
