   Love of my Life,
2024, February 14th. Unsent letter to Taiyang Tseng.
Obsession. I'm obsessed with you. With the sound of your voice in my ear, my name rolling on your tongue, your touch down my back and loins, I feel you, deep, carved under my skin. You are my sun. Through years of a past of misery, of struggle and pain, you are my light. And I remember these hopeless nights begging for Gods to see me and they did, they made us find each other.
Tumblr media
But now, she wants you, too. She is the eye watching me from the inside, the voice that gets louder than yours in the night. The things she says to me are so unbearable to the human soul, I cannot allow myself to share them with you. I'm haunted, Taiyang. By this monster of another Me that has been birthed from the deaths of my pasts and untold secrets. She makes me lie to you, every time I lay down by your side, everytime I look at you in the eye, you, the man who I promised my life, my core, my thoughts and my hearts to, she tells me Not to say anything about what we did, she tells me you wouldn't understand, she tells me you will leave us.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I don't remember exactly what she did. What I did - what we did. I simply know we're responsible of it. My nightmares and many realities are blending, hallucinations of scenes and demonic theaters I cannot write myself out of anymore. I stand on this stage, alone and she, becomes my shadow at first, my puppeteer at last. We watched the building burst into flames as we were laughing Oh we were laughing in ways we never laughed before, her and I, in ways I could feel my inside shaping, morphing, turning into something I couldn't recognize anymore . And then I cried, I cried for not knowing where I was, how I ended up here, not knowing why my hands were covering in all this blood and gasoline. It used to be games, with you by my side, my hair in the wind as the car was running, setting us free in the heart of the city. I am a prisoner now, a prisoner of these voices inside my head who tells me it's my Duty to kill.
I adore you. I adore you. I adore you. I adore you. I adore you. I adore you. I adore you. I adore you. I adore you. I adore you. I adore you. I adore you. I adore you. I adore you. I adore you.
Sun to my Moon. Joker to my Quinn. Clyde to my Bonnie.
I would kill for you. I would let the blood pour and pour until there is nothing left but you and I. Will she take you away from me? Will she burn everything around me for me to end up as alone as we have always been?

My mother once told me, You are a malediction, Ara. Jung women do not deserve happiness, Jung women are toxic, Jung women are poison. I see it now, us, Jung women are meant to this suffering she saw her own mother perish of. The white of the walls is hard for me to stand whenever I go to see her. I cannot bear the eyes she lays on me : I am her, her from a past - she wishes she could beat me up until she breaks skin for not fixing her the way she wished I could, when she gave birth to me. I cannot bear the eyes I lay on her either, she is me, a future I cannot escape : damned, locked.
Tumblr media
I am losing my mind. I know I am. And I will spiral and spiral indefinitely, I will let it happen, I will let it take me whole. I used not to be scared, with your arms around me, your soul within mine, I used to be fearless. Am I still? Knowing the clock is ticking, knowing the end is coming.
She must kill them all, my Love, else I will never be free.

Bumbleby Week Day 2: Meeting the Parents (Part 1)
//Wow. I’m surprised my first fic wasn’t received negatively. I wrote it on a few hours of sleep and a time crunch for the day. Anyway, might as well try again! WARNING: I keep some ship continuity from last fic, meaning there will be a slight mention of Nuts and Dolts. It’s for plot, I swear//
Yang hadn’t figured she would be introducing Blake to her father while off saving the world, yet here she was, Taiyang beaming at her and the rest of the team, while Ruby rushed off with everyone to their small cottage.
Granted, it wasn’t supposed to go the way it did. They were just going to make a quick stop in Patch and resupply before braving their toughest challenge yet: Beacon. Yet, a certain Silver-Eyed girl had tipped off one Mr. Xiao Long exactly where they would be and that they needed a break.
Tai arrived with cake.
Yang knew exactly why Ruby had done this. They had managed to recruit Penny Polendina to their motley crew, with heavy convincing toward General Ironwood. Ruby was going on and on to her mechanical love about just how great their dad was, with Qrow noticeably staring off into the distance. Yang had figured Ruby would try to turn this into a “Meet the Parent” scenario.
“Fine,” Yang thought. “I’ll play along”
The blonde clutched Blake’s hand in her own and marched off to meet the others. Tai, suddenly worried, stopped Yang dead in her tracks.
“Yang wait. Uhm, I need to get the others before they make it back!” Taiyang ran off in search of the rest of the group, hoping to stop Qrow most of all.
The pair of bees made chase and followed, while Maria was content on staying with their things.
Yang’s jaw hit the core of Remnant.
There stood Raven Branwen, her mother, with a pair of gardening gloves on, her bushy hair pulled back into a ponytail and wearing overalls and boots, like she never left them. Never left Yang.
And there stood Qrow, with Harbinger pulled on his own sister.
Raven stood up, a nonchalant stance assumed. Something in her eyes gleamed.
“Hello brother. Daughter. I suppose you demand an explanation. Something I am more than happy to give. Follow me inside and give me a bit to change. Yang can follow me to make sure I don’t leave.” She went through the front door. Yang sprinted to catch up. Her eyes were blood red. How could she just be here? Act like nothing happened? Act like she hadn’t tried to kill her a short while ago? When she had intercepted the bandit leader, she was shocked to find Blake sitting on the bed, with Raven changing clothes.
“Hello Yang. Somehow I knew you’d be furious. You’re my daughter, after all.” Raven looked to the Huntress in front of her, nearly a spitting image of herself, had it not been for the glowing yellow hair. “I really should thank you. You’re the one who made me realize I needed to consider what I should deem important.”
“Don’t give me that!” Yang interrupted. “You think you can just show up at my home one day, acting like nothing bad ever happened?! LIKE YOU DIDNT LEAVE ME ALONE FOR EIGHTEEN YEARS?!” Yang exploded. How could Raven stay this calm? How could she be...how could she be...crying?
Raven, through thick tears, explained “Your father said the exact same thing when I got here. Yang, I-“ In that moment, Raven couldn’t handle the guilt. She broke down , a sobbing mess. It was Blake who ran over to console the woman. Blake, who knew how it felt to run away from those she loved.
Yang calmed down, and Raven built herself up again, just enough to say what she wanted to say.
“After we fought at Haven, I returned here. To the only place I considered truly calling a home. Your father was explosive, to say the least. I told him everything. How you had stopped me, how I felt like a coward after that. I was, after all. I was too afraid to defend my own daughter. Too afraid to put my own progeny before myself.”
Raven bit back tears. She looked to Blake.
“Thank you for all you’ve done for my daughter. You two are lucky to have each other. You have my blessing, Blake Belladonna.”
With that, Raven stood up to leave the room and greet the others.
“So, you two started talking, I guess?” Yang asked the Faunus beside her. Blake’s ears flattened against her head.
“Yes, we were. I wanted to make sure she didn’t leave but then she started venting about her insecurities when it came to you and she mentioned the Mother’s Day cards you would write for her and I got to explaining about all we’d done and she just listened and then you showed up and-“ Yang had wrapped her metallic hand between Blake’s.
“Don’t apologize. You don’t need to. I’m just...concerned? Paranoid? One of those. Having an absentee mother suddenly show up isn’t the best right now. Come on, I think Dad’s waiting on us.”
The couple had made it downstairs together to find that Penny was wowing Yang’s parents with various Atlesian features and jokes about her untimely death.
Tai had furrowed his brow when he saw Blake come down. He then stood up rather suddenly.
“Excuse me, can I speak with Blake for a minute, Yang?” The tone of his voice implied he wasn’t taking no for an answer.
Blake had marched right back to the room she left, followed by a stern Mr. Xiao Long.
“Do you have any idea how much you hurt her that night?” He pressed into Blake’s soul with a crushing stare.
“I didn’t ask her to defend me. She just erupt-“
“I’m not talking about the arm, Blake! We both know that! You know she would lose her entire body if it meant that you kept yours. When you ran away, you told her that you weren’t ready to do the same. That all the walls she tore down just for you should have stayed up. She was devastated.” His expression softened.
“And yet, all she could talk about was you. Even when she wasn’t speaking. Her eyes would wander to books, she would make tea for no one at all, she kept watch over any White Fang info, praying into the night that you hadn’t went back to Adam.” Taiyang’s glares turned into eyes of concern.
“She loved you more than anything. She still does, I can tell. What I need to know is if you are ready to match her intensity for you. If your love for her can burn brighter than anyone else’s.” Tai was now determined, something inside Blake awoke like nothing she’d ever seen.
“I can do that, sir. I promise.” Blake started, before Taiyang shushed her.
“I need you to prove it to me. Give me certainty that you can care for Yang as much as she cares about you.”
“We killed Adam Taurus!” Blake had yelped, inaudible to the guests below. Taiyang was at a loss for words.
“We killed him. With the pieces of my weapon. Yang had used her semblance and we stabbed him. It was the only way. I turned your daughter into a murderer because I couldn’t let go and I’m sorry.”
Taiyang stood up. He walked toward the shaking girl. He placed an arm around her shoulder.
“You helped my daughter conquer her two greatest fears in one day. That’s more than enough proof to me that you really do care about her.” Blake was now confused? They had killed a man and now Tai was accepting her?
“Two greatest fears?” Blake asked, completely puzzled.
“Adam was her second biggest fear. He kept her up at night, sure, but he didn’t hold a candle to her biggest fear: You running away from her in a critical time. You proved to her that you weren’t leaving anymore. I got her letter.” Taiyang stared at Blake again, now with affirmation rather than judgement.
“Come on. Everyone’s waiting on us. They stopped talking.” Taiyang motioned Blake up, and followed her to the living room.
//WOW THAT WAS LONG! Uhh I’m gonna split this in two parts and hopefully the Menagerie part is much shorter cause I have an hour and a half at the time of writing this. See ya then//
