Chatbots, Whatsappbots y respuestas de voz interactivas comenzaron a funcionar en un esfuerzo de las compañías por continuar prestando un servicio de calidad y con el fin de no perder contacto con sus clientes. 
Si bien algunos de estos mecanismos han funcionado, otras empresas han optado por una opción mucho más efectiva, se trata del número corto para negocios.

Centralizar la atención y mejorar el servicio. 
Es muy probable que muchas compañías, en todo el país, hayan puesto a disposición de sus usuarios o clientes, diversos canales de atención por medios digitales o telefónicos, pero también es posible que entre tantos canales los clientes no logren identificar con cuál de estos deben contactar para obtener determinadas soluciones. Esto podría prestarse para confusiones, demoras en la atención, comunicaciones interrumpidas o fallos en el servicio.
