Jack Ayers:

When he was an actual child, he met you when he was touring the factory. You were with one of the scientists while he was visiting the game station, the scientist in question introduced you to the boy.

“Ah, hello there buddy. Having fun? Great, this is Y/n. One of our many orphans who successfully has gotten adopted, isn’t that right Y/n?”

You didn’t expect to see a kid who wasn’t an orphan to this place, so you were a little surprised by his appearance in a place like this.

Jack beamed at the sight of you and waved at you happily and introduced himself to you, you said hello back and tried to do the same but sadly the scientist decided that was enough talking between the both of you and dragged you away from the little kid.

Jack was upset but didn’t mind much, you must’ve been pretty busy going to meet your new adopted parents.

Thats what all the kids thought.

Then he went into the vat room and we all know what happened next.

After being created into Doey for a while Jack eventually got somewhat used to traveling as a large blob of dough, but one day while Matthew was in charge of Doey he came across a vhs tape, placing it into the vcr which had the following script:

“This recording is a check-in on experiment 1399. Subject was recently transferred into the toy known as “Pj-pugapillar,” birth name, Y/n L/n. Subject seems confused and weary whenever scientists go in to do physical studies on them, perhaps it’s just 1399s natural reaction to that sort of stuff. Other than that 1399 seems stable enough to be brought into the Game Station, we thinks it’s the best option for now so Y/n could get a sense of familiarity within the place and their current position-”

The tape ended there, to Matthews dismay. He himself had little to no recollection of who you were. Perhaps it was just fuzzy memories of the past for him, but Jack remembered you. Your name, last name, you said both when you introduced yourself to him, maybe it was just a one sided attachment but Jack some reason felt so comfortable talking with you even if you both just met and it was for a small amount of time.

He was absolutely devastated, not only was Pj one of if not his favorite toy out of Playcare, he also believed you were safe from all this mess. He thought that you went home to a warm and welcoming family. But he guessed wrong apparently.

The whole ordeal made his emotions go out of hand, worse than Kevin even. And while, unlike Kevin who acted out of anger and hatred, Jack started to act out from grief and fear.

It was so bad even Poppy herself got concerned about Doey.

“We need- we need to find them! They’re lonely and hurt! So sorry y/n, so sorry!”

“Doey… do you need to take a break? Who’s Y/n..?”

He wanted to find you badly and tell you everything was going to be okay, but he just didn’t know where to look. Matthew brought up how Pj was always in the game “Statutes” but that was before the Hour of Joy.

Congrats you traumatized Jack a second time, dying and becoming his favorite toy :D

Matthew Hallard:

He thought you were just the sweetest when it was just an “orphanage.”

He’d always compare you and Pj alike, such as : “Oh Y/n, you’re so sneaky just like Pj-pugapillar!”

If you’ve ever asked why he always compared the both of you he always would answer “Because you’re my favorite kid here and Pjs my favorite toy here! It’s like it’s meant to be!” And then he’d stupidly ruffled your hair like if you were an actual pug(you smacked him)

But unfortunately, one day your adoption was announced to most of the orphans in Playcare. Most were saddened but none as more as Matthew, he was sad yes. But he was happy for you, he was happy that you were finally going to get a nice family. One to take care of you and protect you for the rest of your life. Oh how wrong he was.

When the time came for his turn to be tested on, or what was vaguely known as “adoption”, almost all he could think about were what happened to the children before him, Kevin, Quinn, Theodore, Marie, and you.

As Doey became well, himself Matthew declared himself as the leader of the 2 other children, he was the one who understood most of what was going on. He eventually found out what happened to said experiments and who they had belonged to now.

He only found out who you turned to be by a document found near an office near the Prison area. It described all possible subjects that could be the official Pj-pugapillar. And your name was the underlined one, scribbled with red.

He almost dropped his normally calm and collected composure. He told Kevin to take over for a bit(and to behave😐) while he just stared into the dark abyss of whatever consciousness had been left over.

After a while he went back in control and decided that it would be good to ask Poppy if she knew about your whereabouts, or even if you were still in this place.

“P..j? Oh uhh, I’m pretty sure Pjs still at the game station, in statues I’d assume. But, if it were me I’d ask the Player. I’m sure he knows, well. Maybe.”

Disappointed by Poppy’s lack of answer Matthew decided that he’d just go carry on with what his normal duties were. He wants to check the Game Station. He really does. But thinking logically the chance of your survival with no food and no guidance is basically zero.

Maybe one day when both you and him pass on into the actual afterlife, he’ll see you again, as a real kid and not a toy masking itself.

Kevin Barnes:

Not sure if Kevin is actually one to play with the toys in Playcare. But you did, that you did. Basically storing the whole collection of each and every toy Playco has ever brought into its factories walls.

Kevin wasn’t as eager as the other orphans were about your collection, but there was one toy he did really enjoy. Pj-pugapillar. Every time you asked Kevin to play with you the very first words that came out of his mouth were that he was going to be playing with Pj. And if not then he wasn’t going to play toys at all. He’d just make you play tag or hide and seek with him.

So naturally you gladly agreed to his deal, sure you liked Pj but there were other toys you were more fond of.

You both were quite used to this routine and while Kevin would rather play physical games such as soccer, tag, or kickball. He had to admit that playing peacefully with you wasn’t as bad as he thought it would’ve been.

Though, one certain day would make that all come to an end.

He was just waking up and getting ready for the day when he saw one of the caretakers standing in his doorway.

“What?”

“This..might be a tad hard to accept, Kevin.”

“What? Go away if you won’t tell me.”

“Y/n has… Y/n has gotten adopted.”

“Y/n?”

“Yes. Last night to be specific.”

He was pissed ngl.

But unluckily for him, he would soon be announced “sick” by some of the scientists. His other friend, Joseph was concerned about him. But once he expressed his concerns to the scientist, it was too late for both Kevin and you.

After the Hour of Joy some of the only thoughts that Kevin had were either about Matthew and Jack, his hatred towards the factory, and sometimes reminiscing about playing with you.

He learned what happened to you through Matthew, Matthew was the most intelligent out of the 3 boys so he normally is the one to update Jack and Kevin about what happens when they aren’t in control.

So by that logic, it’s only natural for Matthew to sadly inform Kevin of where your, or what’s left of your body was. Pj.

Kevin was furious when he learned about what happened to you, Matthew knew that Kevin and you were somewhat close, but he never knew that Kevin would literally crash tf out about it.

All Jack and Matthew heard for the next few hours after he found out was screaming threats to the facility, because as much as Kevin pretended to find you boring, he adored you just as much(which is a lot)

He was so upset he almost caused destruction to Safe Haven and those who inhabited it. But in the end Kevin was comforted by an innocent Jack who had absolutely NO clue who you were, and a grieving Matthew who quietly but solemnly took charge of Doey.

But it’s fine because Kevin got his anger taken out on Pianosaurus!!😚😚😚

°Krushy LOVES to hug Doey, and he giggles every time!

°He shapes himself into a trampoline for her whenever she needs to let off some extra energy (It doesn't hurt bc she bounces off with her body and rolls around, so it tickles!)

°When she's sad, he immediately says "WHO??" As if it's always someone that did it.

°Doey is the one who repositioned the bow on Krushy's hair. He just thinks it looks cuter that way, and he actually wanted to give her two bows, but Hoppy thought that he was overdoing it. Hehe-

°I never mentioned this, but Krushy actually has a lot of issues emotionally, that's why in the new AU I am creating, her fluffy hair in front of her face is white from absolute stress. So, Doey plays the role as a therapist sometimes to calm her down! AWH-

°They always hold hands when their walking, or just sitting somewhere nice.

°She always calls for Doey 30 mins after she wakes up and can't find him. Lol!

°He's overprotective, and she's overly attached.

°THEY LOVE TO GET MCDONALDS TOGETHER-(Especially the chicken Mcnuggets. Don't ask how.)

Doey has been my absolute favorite since Chapter 4 released and I can't get over him! He's so silly!

Maybe flowey starts as a, like, reluctant helper? Flowey is at first too stunned to do anything jerk like and just, acts as if he is one of them. He can't go into safe haven because there is too much concrete but he can scout around. Much to doeys dismay, flowey is just a little guy after all (if he knew)

Flowey brings them what he can find, out of pity, he tells himself. And if some of it is from outside its only because it is easier than actually looking for it (still not admitting he wants to help)

Oh I could definitely see flowey pretending to be a toy! Also why would he have any trouble going through concrete when he can go through metal??? I don’t think there’s much of a difference between underground materials and the ones on the surface.. Despite his narcissistic traits (that might be because he doesn’t have a soul) I think he could get attached to some people. But he must find a reason to get attached to them, and it would only be really a small part of himself. Flowey can feel emotions but lacks empathy.(this literally happens during multiple points in undertale) Maybe he could get attached to Doey but not all of safe haven.

 Flowey decided one day that he wanted to find a separate quiet spot where potentially no one could find him. (Or a place to hide from the people he cares about) Either way the single sun patch before the ruins, wasn’t as good as he thought it would be. 

He did try the forest outside of playco but he almost got eaten by a deer. So that place was a no go. Eventually he found a small underground cave, that was very hard to reach for most toys (not that he knew of toys at the time). It was nice and quiet a bit damp but he could work with it. For the next month he ended up going to that place every once and awhile (he even left some things there). Even though sometimes he could swear he could hear something  odd…

Doey was on one of usual missions for supplies. Yet he was going farther than he did usually. His usual checking‘s spaces had dried up. So he had to look elsewhere for supplies. He is scouting out one of the more quiet mine shafts. It was almost impossible for most toys to enter this place. But that also meant it was less scavenged than other places. When looking around he managed to find some mushrooms that they could potentially eat and- wait was that yelling?? How could any other toy besides him being in this mineshaft to begin with? Last time he checked the entrance was covered in rubble and wait it’s coming through the walls?

Doey was clearly distressed at the idea of a trapped, potentially innocent toy. Let alone the size of a mini! He didn’t have to search match before he found the source of the noise. It was clearly coming from the other side of rebel in the mineshaft.  Using his own monstrous strength move the rubble all the way to at least create a small opening. Which was probably enough to fit a critter inside? So morphing his form and slipping to other side of a cave. He’s not metwith what he expected, a critter, but a strange toy flower? 

Flowey on his part should’ve been a bit more quiet than he was. But did clover really have to take them over to a family dinner!?! Specially one to where his Mom was attending! Not like she could actually recognize him as her son… IT WAS JUST SO FRUSTRATING!! Seriously how could Clover not understand that he didn’t want to go and-  something in his non-existent chess made him stop for a moment. He felt like he was being watched! And he turned around to see a massive strange creature in front of him. He froze still, he didn’t know what to do…

Anyway I hope you like that bit of fanfiction there. Potentially seeing flowey around safe haven helping toys, even grumpy. Is funny to me.

THIS!! Okay, ramble time for me too, man.

Like op said, it isn't all that serious, but I'm still pretty salty as well. Spoilers ahead here as well!

I feel like my biggest problem with Chapter 4 is that they had 3 different big characters that were put in the spotlight, which I didn't even know 2 of them existed because they made trailers for each one?? [continue on this later], but one in particular did NOT get nearly enough use, and one got too much of it in my opinion.

Those being Yarnaby and Doey respectively. Yarnaby was the first, and only, of the 3 focus characters I saw, so naturally I was very hyped to see what they would do with him! Only to get VERY disappointed when he just. Barely showed up, and might have died in the most goofy, unceremonious way they could've done.

And then we have Doey, who took up the majority of the spotlight when I really feel like he didn't need to. Don't get me wrong, he's got an interesting concept and story! But it just felt like they were cramming his lore down your throat while I was watching a playthrough. Maybe that's just me, though. But in the end, I really didn't feel any attachment to him. :[

Back to the trailer thing- I don't know why they decided to do seperate trailers for each character, but that decision is the reason I didn't even know The Doctor and Doey existed until I watched a playthrough. I almost never look at Mob Entertainment's channel, so I had no clue they'd even posted new trailers. So when I got all hyped up and watched an [early access, mind you] playthrough of the chapter, it was very jarring to see 2 completely unfamiliar characters show up, taking the spotlight.

I partially take fault for that. Me not looking at the channel is my own doing. But I don't understand why they changed their trailer formula so drastically?? Like..could they not have made just one big trailer including all of the characters? The Doey trailer does that. So what's the point of the other 2? Don't get me wrong, the other 2 trailers look sick. But I don't feel like they had to be trailers. I feel like those could've been character lore videos. They've made those before.

And lastly, honorable mention to the Nightmare Critters and Pianosaurus who got sidelined even harder than poor Yarnaby. So much potential in those little guys and the dino, but they barely even used them. And one of them died within 5 seconds of actually being shown, which is just like..what's even the point of making a whole new character if they're going to be killed immediately and likely never show up again? At that point, just use one of the various other toys you have like you did with that one scene in Home Sweet Home where CatNap snatches up a toy caught in the smoke.

All around, I felt like the chapter needed more time in the oven. The character focus wasn't very well distributed in my opinion, especially with poor Yarnaby who was SUCH AN INTERESTING CHARACTER, but just got completely sidelined by Doey. I have a love-hate relationship with The Doctor for reasons unrelated to the spotlight issues [cough cough- love the voice and design, hate the character as a person].

Kissy is best girl, if she dies I will actually sob. Prototype sucks, go die. Everyone needs therapy and food. Buy gold. Byeeee!

I have- a lot to say about Chapter Four, so-

I sound a bit salty, because I am, but I promise it’s all not that serious and it is just a game! Let’s all remember that and be respectful

❌ There’s about to be a lot of negative so if you don’t want to see it skip to the positives! Totally fair! It came out yesterday and I was hyped and it didn’t meet my personal hype, so I am a bit salty ngl! So totally fair to skip ❌

I can’t really talk much about Yarnaby because his death was SUPER glitched? So I was kind of just like “…okay- I mean yikes for him but-“ I can’t even tell if it was something I did that made him burn? I’m someone who hates chase sequences (not because they’re bad I just get too stressed lmao) but his felt kiiiind of underwhelming? But again one of the places I assume he was supposed to be chasing was- glitched as all hell he didn’t chase me at all, but anyways, my son that I can’t draw, I’m so sorry

Pianosaurus- honestly? I didn’t give him the time of day during promos and such, and honestly now I’m ashamed I didn’t, I’m someone that needs time to just- stare at a character’s design for more than four seconds, just to picture their potential, and staring at his design after the fact, yeah, a MUSICAL chase scene? Are you KIDDING me?? I would’ve fucked with that, SO. HARD. I think Mob was trying to go for the funny route, that or just to show how unstable/strong Doey is, but- I don’t know maybe he could’ve come in and saved us.. after an actual chase scene? My man had ten seconds of life including the cutout, Mob hates dinosaurs fr

The Doctor- I don’t know man I wasn’t too hyped about him like- fight wise? But I knew he’d come with lore and it’d be a different kind of villain so I was still hyped in a sense, and- since I can’t say much about Yarnaby’s death- then the Nightmare Critters stuff? Like it was interesting he was playing with us, but he just dies so easily, like I guess it makes sense, he’s an immovable(?) computer, but for someone everyone expected to be the main villain, and who was talking so much shit to us the whole game, he was also kind of underwhelming, disappointing really the mindless drone computers was also all glitchy so I couldn’t tell you much there

Saved this for last (critique wise) because if you follow me/like my stuff you probably know I love the Nightmare Critters, they got me into actually drawing Poppy Playtime stuff instead of just fixating on the Smiling Critters but not drawing them, helped that I had finally gave in and watched chapter three (out of order.. I finally watched chapters one and two like a week ago, fake fan I know) in September, and then they came out in October

Maybe it’s dumb, but these stupid emo critters mean a lot to me for personal reasons, a lot more than they probably should, so to say I was excited was an understatement, and- the trailer didn’t give me high hopes, but I stayed hopeful, thinking maybe that tease of a Bigger Baba would lead to something? Like- “maybe she’s actually an ally! They did say multiple allies, she’s the black sheep of the Nightmare Critters! It makes sense! They have their own jingle made too, maybe there’s a commercial!” And then to not even get cutouts of them felt kind of like a stab in the heart

They started their big promotion of the chapter with a week long introduction and- nothing, and yes you can argue the same thing happened to the Smiling Critters in chapter three though comparatively they got way more than the Nightmare Critters, which they gave us more of in chapter four, but that’s just the thing, why make the Nightmare Critters in the first place then? It’s not like it’d tarnish the Smiling Critters’ brand, they were introduced AS antagonistic plushies trying to eat us, and if the idea was that they were such a failed attempt (in universe) at trying to attain the same popularity as the Smiling Critters.. why not say? Give us a note? A line? An acknowledgment besides them visibly attacking us to their existence? Even as a villain despite the symbolism Baba could’ve been a parallel to Catnap, something, but nope, she was just the main grunt character, like actually, that’s what her and the Nightmare Critters were, Yarnaby was a pet, they were like The Doctor sent out bugs to come at us, in the cage room they were just slightly bigger bugs, like what is that about by the way? Are they not Bigger Bodies? Are they the “main” Critters? Like tell us things about them please, even their little jingle is an Easter Egg there’s NO acknowledgment of them, at all, and to top it all off, no cutouts, when characters like Daisy have cutouts despite never being a character we face, why have us see the Smiling Critters cutouts again with the same dialogue- and all the other new characters get cutouts, but not the Nightmare Critters?? Why????? I dunno, it’s not that serious but it’s incredibly disappointing for me personally, as we had months of hype for- literally nothing

Edit: I have more to say actually, why the heck was Baba even advertised as different from the rest of the Nightmare Critters? In everything we get of them she’s in the middle, or the main focus, the spotlight, for.. what? She’s the only one attacking us? Like I just don’t get it, I still believe a better plot were to have her be a parallel to Catnap, because they’re similar situations in a way, Baba’s Prototype was just Dr. Sawyer instead, just.. minus having a hinted personality, but maybe this time, we could’ve saved her when we couldn’t Catnap or something? So like it’s not too similar, but I dunno, literally anything would’ve been better than what we got

✅ But! It wasn’t all bad, this chapter did have a bit of good in it that I enjoyed, case in point- ✅

Doey, GOD I love his colours, I jokingly hated him because I fucking hate drawing circles, and this man is nothing but circles, but my actual opinions pre release I just couldn’t wait to see him animated, I love characters that don’t have to deal with anatomy, I hate anatomy, stretch away king, but I didn’t have much of an opinion otherwise, then we find out he’s made up of three people? The lore is hot, his jingle is a bop also, the fact he killed his (well one of the people’s) parents, that was illegal, stop that, and I’m glad that he didn’t just agree with Poppy’s plan, but also I wish they talked about the long term? Say they defeat The Prototype, it’s not like they can go back into society, I’m surprised no one had that existential thought, his death though- a bit convoluted but yeah, also to my understanding The Prototype set off the bombs right? But we still planned to do it, just maybe we could’ve moved the Safe Haven guys out beforehand I dunno, but that was such a sad death, he said SORRY TO US. US???? BRO WE SUUUUUCK, RIP the king of this chapter

Safe Haven, omfg that was just such a cool concept to me, I guess you could say that it’s not really original but I don’t really care about all that, kind of wish there was more of a variety of toys in it though (yeah I know there were a couple Boogie Bots and a Mini Huggy but it was still clearly Smiling Critters focused y’know? I swear I don’t hate the SC guys I’m just trying not to be biased towards them) I’m glad they had a memorial room, and it’s SO lucky of them to have a doctor I don’t know how if they were all children but that doctor is the goat, in the thumbnail of the trailer they make a point to show that Doey could put things in himself, and we also know from tapes that he can make it where others can’t, surely there’s big enough cracks to where he could go up in the surface and lowkey rob a store to get them food right? Pretty please? Give these people food T^T ALSO I’m glad they actually talked, I didn’t expect that to be honest, yay :3

I was not expecting to see BBI Hoppy but I’m so glad we did, my fav Smiling Critter hiiiiii :3, I love her voice, and it makes me wonder if she was the last Critter besides Dogday and Catnap, because maybe they would’ve mentioned the others if they were alive? I dunno, but I’m just glad to see her

Bouncing off of those two points ^, we got more Smiling Critters shit!! Not much in the grand scheme of things, but we got a whole BBI Hoppy tape, a blurry image of I thiiiiink BBI Bubba on one of the TV screens, and an entire room full of the little Smiling Critters, that counts probably, we got more that makes me happy :3

Out of order but seeing that Kissy in the train car- omfg I think that was who Riley from the notes was- RIP Queen, Jesus-

By the way I WILL be using the fact that Touille’s tail is lowkey kind of like Catnap’s that shit is so long, we sure he’s not an opossum lol?

As disappointed in the chapter as I am, as it was my first time seeing it release live, it wasn’t all bad, maybe I could better judge some parts when they fix the glitching

Your voice was quiet against the noise of the party, but just about audible enough for your best friend to hear as he wove his way through the drunken people scattered about the landing. “Renjun!” you said again. Stopping to look where the voice came from, Renjun turned towards the bathroom door, from which your head was currently peaking out, a surprised look on his face as you peered out at him. “Y/n- what are you doing?” Renjun asked, bewildered, as you hopped up to sit on the counter. “I’m hiding!” you whispered somewhat unnecessarily, now being sealed away in the bathroom. Renjun gave you a blank look. “Why?” he asked, as you looked down at him with big doey eyes, a little glassy from the 3 cups of punch you’d consumed earlier in the night. “Lucas and Hendery. They keep being really weird and flirty.”

“And that’s a bad thing?” Renjun replied.

“I mean REALLY flirty, I didn’t know what to do!” Renjun chuckled at you and sighed.“Do they need a talking to?” he asked, moving from his position by the door to stand directly in front of you. You looked at him sympathetically. “No offence Renjun, but I don’t think you could take them on... They’re both older and bigger than you. But anyway, no they’re fine, just stay in here with me for a bit, maybe they’ll lose interest.” Renjun scoffed at your implication but let it slide since after all, it was true. “I’m not sure they will,” he said teasingly, placing his hands gently on your knees. You deflated a little at his words pouting, and as if to respond Renjun began rubbing comforting little circles on your knees. “Y-you do?” You murmured, as your thighs relaxed slightly, slipping open a little ushering Renjun to stand flush against the counter between them. “Mhh,” Renjun hummed in confirmation. As your thighs had parted, Renjun’s hands slipped a little higher onto your thighs gently curving across the top and sides, but applying just a bit of pressure to send a tingling up to your core. A few seconds later you emerged from the bathroom, Renjun in tow, only to see Jisung standing right out side. “Oh. Sorry Jisung.” you said, praying that he hadn’t overheard your encounter. Luckily though, the noise of the party seemed to have drowned out any of the sounds you’d made. “Jesus what were you two doing in there? I’ve been waiting for ages” Jisung grumbled, giving you a curious look. “Just hiding!” you chirped not wanting to seem suspicious. “Right well next time hide somewhere other than the bathroom. I’ll see you in a minute, I really have to pee,” he said, pushing past you and slamming the door. You looked at Renjun and immediately saw the relieved expression on his face making you burst into laughter. “Come on dork, let’s go find Jeno.”
