My bee sting arm got so bad, I had to go home early! I am having what is called a "large local reaction", which is painful but not life threatening. Part 1 of a day that I won’t soon forget

Well it’s been quite a day. I’m flying out to stay with a friend for a week before school starts again. This morning was insane. I think it really began with last night. I’ve always been one of those people who basically my head hits the pillow and I’m asleep. I just could not sleep last night though, I guess I was excited. I feel like I woke up a million times and just doze off in between. Then next thing I knew it was 5:00am and it was fine to get up but I felt like I hadn’t slept yet. I had to leave for the airport between 6:15am and 6:30, my friend was going to drop me off there, so I figured I could leave later than normal because every time I went to this airport previously I had way too much extra time, so I would prevent that problem this time. Thing is, 6:15 came and went, my friend was no where to be found. I asked well over a week ago if she could drive me to the airport, she said she would be happy to. Then a few days ago I casually brought up my flight again to remind her. Then last night I texted her telling her we could meet out in front of her apartment, she said that was fine. Then the time comes, and apparently it wasn’t fine. I must have called her more than 9 times, each time it went to voice mail. I went and knocked on her door multiple times. Nothing. Now the panic sets in. I text my other friends. I must find a ride. I don’t have time to drive myself and park in long term parking and then wait for the shuttle and then eventually get to my gate then go through security and all that. But it’s 6:30 and I have no choice left, so I speed walk to my car and drive. There was no traffic thank goodness. Then I have a thought, how long is long term parking? I am only going to be gone for 2 weeks, would that qualify for short term parking? I maybe wasn’t thinking straight through the stress. I think okay I will google it. But I’m driving, that’s not safe. I call my mom, still in a panic. Probably waking her up, it was 5:30 am her time. She says long term is what I need to do. I hang up and just start sobbing. I can’t remember the last time I cried, but I think this made up for months of being upset but not crying because I really let it all go. Tears streaming down my face, I didn’t understand how this could happen. This all must have been my fault. I was going to miss my flight because I trusted someone to do something I should have just done myself. It’s a lesson I’ve learned a million times yet it never seems to stick, I just keep wanting to trust people, but the result is always the same. Even more, I did not pay for this flight, my dad did. I was going to waste so much money. He was going to be so upset, I couldn’t just book another flight, waste more money, I’d probably just have to stay here instead. By this point I had arrived to the airport. I found the long term parking, and pulled into the first spot I saw, right next to this huge bush growing out of a crack in the pavement. I look in my rear view mirror and see the shuttle at the stop. I don’t know how but I know that he was going to wait. But he did more than that. He pulled up right behind my car, and let me on. He was truely a gift from God, I could calm down, this man has saved my trip. He asked what terminal I needed, he even waited to make sure the lights on my car turned off so I wouldn’t come back to a dead battery before he headed on towards the terminal. We talked the way there, I was just thanking him, how I thought I was going to be late, we joked how this was not the best start to a vacation. He said that it’s hard when you have to trust other people for stuff and you have no power to make sure the outcome is right. He was the best. We arrived, I thanked him again, and went to security, which amazingly flew by incredibly fast, I was out of there and to my gate in no time, and I definitely was going to make my flight.

when your last couple days have been shitty and you just want to cry and eat ice cream and watch tv all day, but then you dont do that and then proceed to have another shitty day cause you are ignored. Hopefully tomorrow will be better
