Wilbur did an update video:

Here's the breakdown

He said he wanted to bring some clarity to the situation that happened last year but doesn't want to dig at old news

But if you want to dig up old news then why say anything?

Then he states that he does not like the labels that are being used surrounding him and that his family and friends know that he isn't an abusive

And to prove his point he'd have to share personal information about himself which is isn't comfortable with, so we should just trust him

To which, the genuine counter argument is:

1. We knew what the inside of his old apartment was, because Fundy showed it in a vlog

2. We know the city he lives in. THE CITY

3. We know his age (roughly), gender, date of birth, full legal name and his physical looks

4. We know what he would have named his first born child if they were born AFAB

5. People know where he's going to be because of his tours

6. We know his preferred brand of clothing, his style of clothing etc...

7. We know what he did/would have done at University, as he used to say on the dsmp that he was an English major. Since we don't have "Majors" in the UK, the thing he was most likely to be referring to is his pursuits for an English Language and Literature degree.

7.5 we know it was an English Language and Literature degree because he himself recounted learning and being interested in Hamilton and The Odysseus (being English Literature) and English Language is creative writing. Like the script of the dsmp

8. People know what trains and tubs he takes (idk how but they do)

And ALL this information was shared by him, in either his blogs, videos, live streams or collabs. So to say he doesn't share personal information yet have all this out thier is a lie

Furthermore to say that "alot of influence have to share personal information with fans for XZY" is a lie, because content creator like Ethoslab, Zombiecleo, Okaysoheresthething, Ranboo, MANY vtubers and other have all been able to keep both their likeness and personal information out of public spaces by just choosing not to share it, and taking the necessary steps not to have it public

But anyways, then he said he still stands by what his statement said in February of last year but people "misinterpreted probably due to his wording"

To which I'll point out again he's an English major/was a uni student for English/has a degree in English. So he either lied about his academic pursuits or his wording was somewhat intentional, because their ain't NO WAY-

Then he states that he doesn't the "sides to fight each other"

To which, I would like to add my own personal accounts of his fans. Not one single Shubble supporter or victim supporters did or said anything negative or harmful to me even when I asked questions.

His fans on the other hand... Yeahhhhhhh.

But sure it's a good message to stand by, and no one should be sending death threats or "fighting" each other.

And then he got to the main bit about the video.

But to promote his band and to say he wants to do more videos. Leading many to realise the first 30% of the 5 minutes long video was just engagement baiting, into getting more people to see, spread and recognise that he's coming back to content creation and his band is preforming again

TLDR: the most useless video I've seen this week. He says he wants to give clarity but then doesn't do that and spends 30% of the video contradicting himself and then promotes himself and his band.

Actually, before I log off for the day, I will say, please don't go labelling Wilbur a narcissist or trying to armchair diagnose him with any cluster B disorders. Having NPD doesn't make someone abusive. Being abusive is what makes someone abusive. By armchair diagnosing an abuser with NPD, it's not only just further stigmatising an already very stigmatised and often misunderstood disorder but also, by framing a mental disorder as "abuser disorder", it almost unintentionally shifts blame away from them as a person and their actions and more towards the mental illness that they may or may not have. This isn't to excuse anything Wilbur's done. Just please keep in mind, people with NPD aren't inherently abusive. Wilbur isn't an abuser because he's a "narcissist", he's an abuser because he's abused people

Crazy fucking shift today btw a little girl who was maybe like 9/10 came up in a Lovejoy sweatshirt and I was, to the mom, like oh wow haha I used to listen to them all the time and the little girl just starts absolutely beaming like you know Lovejoy and I can't like haha yeah when I was a teenager. Im in the middle of my shift I can't pull this mom aside like that guys a serial abuser by the way and his content isn't for children so I just smile and the mom is all like omg its so cool that you know them, she loves Wilbur. And I just have to go make their drinks because we're so fucking packed like that never happened and. I'm just so. stuck. Like thinking about it. Like this child nor her mother have no reasonable way to be in the space that knows about the fact he's a shit person because that would involve one this child having access to things like Twitter and two this mom being involved in those online places but also just like this poor woman has no idea what her child is listening to nor who she is watching. She's just not!! Fucking paying attention to the content her child is consuming!! that man as awful as he was repeated several times that his streams, content, and music were not intended for children and the general discomfort he felt with that being his audience and whether is was a persona or not it was still something that was repeated on streams. Or even just the type of content that was put out a good portion of it just was not suitable for younger children!! And im sure this lady probably just sees her child watching someone play Minecraft and just vaguely pays attention when her child is listening to a song by her favorite YouTuber because it's a kids game what could possibly be going on but!! You need to pay attention! If not to the controversy he's a part of just to the basic fucking lyrics to songs like sex sells or anything else with very clear explicit content either in his music or on his YouTube channel!!!

There are child friendly Minecraft YouTubers for your children to watch!!!! There are fully better options all over the place from people with genuine creative storylines to random mindless bullshit there are better things for your child to be watching and listening to!!!

I will say one more thing before moving the fuck on and waiting for more. Cause I have a feeling there will be more eventually.

I am completely believing and supporting Shubble. Shubble’s the victim and she did not name her abuser for a reason. We should not jeopardize her plans.

Now, on a unrelated note, I will still be supporting Wilbur as well until if he’s found to be 100% clearly the guy who Shubble is talking about.

I believe in innocent until proven guilty and similarities and coincidences (like Wilbur also being a biter and someone with a messy place (and an ant infestation), and Zoe leaving Lovejoy for some reason) don’t equal evidence.

It’s hearsay and conjecture and I want to see more shit then that to believe that Wilbur’s the abuser.

So, I believe Shubble and that she needs all the support she can get. And I believe that Wilbur is innocent. Until there’s a legitimate update, I will be moving on from this.

Speculating on who the abuser is will only put Shubble in more danger. There’s no good result coming from jumping conclusions right now.

Hug Shubble and keep Wilbur out of this until there’s a legitimate connection. And even if there is a connection, focus on helping Shubble. We aren’t the law, y’all!
