13. What would they say each other’s best quality is?

For Willow, she would say that Penelope's best quality would be her kindness (obviously) but also how she's willing to step out of her comfort zone if it means helping someone

For Penelope... she would likely say that Willow's best quality is her ability to navigate social politics without actively hurting anyone. Like yes, Willow would resort to immoral methods if it means protecting someone but more often than not she chooses not to if she could help it, and in a sense that's a form of kindness

19. It’s raining, did either of your OCs bring an umbrella? If so, who, and do they share it?

I would think Penelope would bring an umbrella, in the game she seems like the type to be prepared. Willow most likely wouldn't, either out of habit given that she grew up poor most of her life, or she lent her umbrella to her siblings. Given Penelope's personality, they would share an umbrella

27. Who is more down to earth?

Definitely Willow, it's hard to live through years of hardship and remain idealistic

36. How long have they been friends? Would they consider each other best friends?

Let's see... since the current demo of 7KPP ends at Week 5, I'll just chalk it up to them being friends for five weeks?

7KPP OCs in modern wear

I've always wanted to do my 7KPP OCs in modern attire but based on their respective styles in the game itself, and I've finally done it!

I'll talk a little about each OC beneath the cut just because I want to lol.

Hong Yuneol: Her clothing style is simple in game, so I opted for clothes that people would throw on when they're late... except Hong's never late for anything.

Due to her practical nature, she wears three quarter pants and shoes she can easily run in.

Hong is probably an English major with a minor in Psychology in university, mainly because she rather write a lot of reports and essays and also because language is one of the ways to understand human nature. This is entirely her opinion by the way.

Willow Neiscmes: Her clothing style is functional in game, so I opted for clothes that people would wear to survive outside. She wears durable winter clothing because she lives in a cold region of Revaire.

Willow would most likely be on a scholarship should she decided to attend university and pursue a major related to IT. This is mainly because given how technologically connected modern society is, the IT field would be a stable industry to work in.

Selena Feyold: Her clothing style is casual in game, so I opted for a modern twist of her original attire in game. There wasn't much to change since her original attire is pretty casual even in modern society, so I tried to make her clothes more boppin' to suit her personality.

Selena is definitely a Business major in university so that she can shove it into the faces of those who sneer at her ability to run her family business. That, and she wants to be the best entrepreneur as much as possible.

Ann Hertzia-Pembroke: Her clothing style is formal in game, so I opted for a three piece suit because she always wants to look her best no matter the occasion as well as to impress others.

Ann would probably consider either majoring in Marine Biology, or Astronomy. She would prefer studying something related to water at university though.

Rose Briala: Her clothing style is elaborate in game, and since I don't know what constitutes as elaborate, I decided to opt for a frilly skirt, a ribbon tied underneath her blouse collar, and a truly unnecessary ribbon around her waist.

Like me, Rose doesn't like this set of modern attire and would very much prefer a simpler attire that has more purple and less yellow. Unfortunately for the both of us, her parents are very strict on what she can and cannot wear.

In university, Rose would initially major in Music because her parents wanted her to be like Constance and be a renowned musician, but after a period of self-discovery, she would eventually decide to major in Education so that she can pursue a career as a music teacher.

Rana al-Celbain: Her clothing style is elegant in game, so I opted for clothes that people would wear to a semi-formal party. She’s pretty much the type that dresses like they’re attending a formal party in daily life.

Instead of her signature cloak, I made it into her clutch purse which she is never seen without. Rana also only wears rings on her left hand instead on both hands like in game because she’s right-handed and thus uses her dominant hand a lot to write essays.

In university, Rana would double major in Political Science and Economics because she knows that these majors will help her get ahead in future. Having a decent pool of potential allies is an added bonus.

It's Pride Month! (Part 2)

You know what that means?

It means it’s time for a second wave of Pride art from me!

This time I drew my 7KPP OCs who fall under the spectrum in their national clothes. Well, somewhat national and in their respective orientation colours.

Since the 7KPP Secret Santa 2021 event was pushed back by a week, I decided to do something that's 100% not canon for Valentine's Day.

I have no idea how Week 7 will go since I'm not an alpha backer, nor would I want to spoil anything even if I am, so this is just me assuming that there's a ball or something in Week 7.

Anyways, here's some implied Willow x Rose content that's really just for my own viewing pleasure.

7KPP OCs' Signatures

I came up with my 7KPP OCs' signatures on a whim, it was actually hard because I can only write in one way.

I'll talk about how I came up with their signatures below the cut.

1. Hong Yuneol

Hong's signature is based on the Chinese and Korean characters for a clear, deep body of water (Chinese: 泓, Korean: 홍 though don't ask me why the translation for the Korean character ended up as something weird), cloud (Chinese: 云, Korean: 구름), and star (Chinese: 星, Korean: 별).

As a result, I came up with a language that merely combines both Chinese and Korean characters together. I wanted to include Japanese but... that's even more nightmarish than I would like.

2. Willow Neiscmes

Willow's signature is very straightforward as a result of her practicing how to sign documents in preparation for her marriage to the late Baron Namaire.

3. Selena Feyold

This is the only writing from Selena that doesn't look like it has been printed because the countess realised that it was easy to forge her initial signature with printing machines. Her servants insist that her current signature is still easily forged, but Selena argues otherwise.

4. Ann Hertzia-Pembroke

Ann's signature contains only her initials and ends with a star as well as an arrow pointing diagonally to the left to represent her reliance on stars to navigate while sailing.

5. Rose Briala

Rose only came up with a signature after Selena and Ann insisted that she needed one, and she was advised to make her signature unique so as to prevent forgery. It was actually Hong who suggested the idea of including plant motifs into her signature while she was coming up with signature designs.

6. Rana al-Celbain

Rana's signature is merely her name as the more unique it looks, the easier it is for others to remember and put a name to such signatures. The simpler the signature, the more forgettable it is and thus the safer the person signing.

Random Info On Willow

Here’s another post about random info on my 7KPP OCs, this time featuring Willow. Half of the reason I’m posting stuff about Willow is in case my Secret Santa wants to do something about her, and the other half is for my personal reference.

The info will be below the cut.

- Willow’s surname is Neiscmes, and her family’s belongs to the House of Aultem. Therefore, Willow’s supposed full title prior to marrying the Baron of Namaire is Lady Willow Neiscmes of Aultem. 

- Her family lives relatively close to the Revaire-Wellin border. 

- Willow used to stone skip when she was a child, but stopped after she learnt about the severity of her family debts.

- She doesn’t sleep very well, partially because of her guilt for killing her late husband, and partially because she’s a light sleeper to begin with.

- If she ever finds out that Hazel is working as a sex worker, she would first yell at Hazel for working as one as it’s considered illegal in Revaire (laws regarding sex workers are vague but it’s safer to assume that the sex industry is illegal in the nation) before proceeding to worry for her sister as being a sex worker is very dangerous in Revaire.

- Secretly envies the commoners for the simple lives they lead, or in Revaire’s case, less dangerous lives.

- Really likes her signature winter coat, so much so that she has jokingly said to Lisle that she wanted to make it a heirloom. Lisle has no idea how to reply to that.

- Has doubts to whether she’s capable of being a good mother and worries that she’ll end up being irresponsible and distant like her own.

Disaster OC 2

I have put off fleshing out the second OC for months now... so whoops. She’s not really my main OC, more like... a character that I found to be intriguing after writing a bit about her in ‘Thirty-One Stars And I’ll Catch Them All’.

Name: Lady Willow of Revaire (or Baroness of Namaire)

Age: 26

Hair: Light brown hair that is slightly wavy, reaches around end of back. Usually lets her hair down unless she’s out riding. Hair is neither silky nor coarse, her fringe is almost symmetrical except for one part that’s longer than the others. 

Eyes: Crystal blue-coloured (I have no idea what shade that really is), isn’t sure what’s her eye shape like because they all look the same to her. 

Body: Alabaster skin and a willowy build. Height is at 172 cm (around 5′6″ after conversion), basically she’s tall and slim (weighs slightly lesser than the average woman). Her fingers are slightly bony due to her below average weight, her left ring finger still bears the mark of her wedding ring (that she no longer wears but still keeps just in case). Has a scar on her left cheek, and left forearm after her late husband threw a plate at her, with some of the broken shards successfully injuring her.

Style: Functional. Since she’s from the colder parts of Revaire, she tends to wear clothes that are more suited for cold weather. One thing that she always wear is a navy blue winter coat, which is used to hide her figure and give off an impression that she’s healthier than she really is.

Since the summit is held during summer, she wears a black evening gown with the winter coat draped on her. She wears a pair of black high heels, with the heels being no more than two inches due to her height. 

Family: She’s the oldest among nine children, with six sisters and two brothers. Both of her parents are alive, but are constantly racking up debts which makes their relationship with Willow very strained. Her siblings in order are Hazel (20), Violet (17), Jasmine (16), Hawthorn (16), Lily (14), Iris (13), Holly (10), and Reed (9). The parents don’t work at all, forcing Willow to marry her late husband while Hazel and Violet had to go out to work. Violet works at a cemetery while Hazel has to work as a sex worker since it’s hard to find employment in Revaire. No one knows that Hazel works as a sex worker.

Sexuality: Willow identifies as a homoromantic demisexual, and expressed zero interest in her late husband. She’s interested in Penelope, but understands that she’s not really allowed to pursue her given that she’ll be marrying Lisle. He’s aware of Willow’s interest in his sister and plays along whenever she remarks that she’ll marry Penelope one day (all in good fun). 

Gender identity: Willow identifies as a cis-woman, and her pronouns are she/her.

Likes/Dislikes: Willow doesn’t like bitter food much, but she’ll eat anything due to her upbringing. She enjoys taking baths with limoelle oil (though she does it sparingly as it’s very hard to obtain the oil), and she enjoys reading fiction books as it serves as an escape from her life.

Hobbies: She likes stargazing, and can easily point out to people the constellations present in the night sky. She enjoys having tea sessions with Penelope because conversations tend to be relaxed and mainly about how they managed to tease Lisle. She also sews in her free time, though it’s usually to repair clothes. Sometimes she would ask Ria if there's anything she could help the maids with regards to needlework (Ria insists to leave the mending to her but Willow refuses every time).

Personality: Willow is fairly eloquent and intelligent, unlike what’s expected of a traditional Revaire woman. She is fairly charismatic, which allows her to garner the attention of others. She’s a sensible woman, and prefers to use reason over emotions when making decisions.

Willow is persuasive and quick-witted, which allows her to have her way most of the time. Usually only exerts her persuasion skills when saving people from sticky social situations, but wouldn’t be opposed to a friendly debate over general topics.

She’s the subtle type, and doesn’t like being blunt as she’s afraid of hurting people. (That, and being blunt isn’t a welcomed thing in the political nightmare of a country) She’s overall a friendly and kind woman who tries to help people out, though a bit introverted. 

She’s ambitious, but she doesn’t like it when she has to step on others to get ahead. She is, however, willing to use immoral methods to help others, such as personally eliminating her blackmailer in order to protect Lord Emroy. She believes that power should be used responsibly, but understands that in order to use them responsibly, she needs to gather as much as she can to do so. Willow prefers to take a more methodical approach when dealing with problems, such as the trial.

Weaknesses: Willow’s most major weakness is that due to her traditional upbringing, she fails to appreciate more innovative methods which can be more efficient in resolving issues. This also makes her come off as stiff to more liberal delegates, which may create tension between them even though Willow didn’t mean to offend them.

Her second weakness is that she doesn’t confront people, while it doesn’t create drama for anyone, it also means that she inadvertently allows people to smear her reputation. This is most seen when it comes to the rumours surrounding her late husband’s death, she allowed others to paint her as a gold-digging murderer when she actually murdered her husband because she couldn’t cope with the abuse suffered at his hands.

Her third weakness is that she doesn’t open up to others easily, which makes it hard for some delegates (the more people-savvy ones) to trust her. 

Where to find her: She can be found in the servants’ quarters, though no one really questions it. It works out for Willow, since she wants to prepare for the worst case scenario that she can’t find a match and would have to return to Revaire without anything.

Willow can also be found at the cliffs, staring out at the ocean beyond. Interestingly enough, not a single delegate believes that she’s at the cliffs to meet with men. This is so as despite her ambition as a widow, they are aware that she’s a traditional woman and as such, doesn’t go out of her way to shamelessly flirt or meet them in secluded spots.

She can be found in the parlour talking with any delegate that enters, as well as in her own room learning how to apply makeup, much to some of the servants’ amusement.

Additional information on Willow will be below the cut.

- Willow used to be called 'Lady Skeleton' due to being dangerously thin when she was younger.

- She used to have amenorrhoea until she married the late Baron of Namaire due to being severely underweight from lack of nutrition.

- She's left-handed.

- Her signature winter coat actually belongs to a dead Revairan soldier that she chanced upon when searching for valuables at the site of a riot back when she was 13. She found it practical for harsh winters and liked the colour, thus she dragged it back home after stuffing its pockets full of valuables from the corpses on site.

- Willow has thought to herself countless of times that had she not been the oldest and therefore the one her siblings depend on, she would've sold every part of herself to Revaire's black market so that her siblings have enough to tide them over for a decent period of time.

- She knows how to play the piano, though she's not as good as Rose.

- She has learnt how to lockpick when she was 8 as she used to break into the residences of the nobility in order to steal their valuables as well as to collect blackmail.

- After she became a widow, Willow has exchanged the blackmail she collected from Revairan nobles with Corval for money, and she feels guilty whenever she hears of said nobles mysteriously dying shortly after the exchange was carried out.

Willow stopped after the Queen of Revaire personally warned her to find another source of income to support herself and her family by threatening to kidnap her siblings and selling them to black market.

- She has thought about killing her parents numerous times, but didn't want to send the message to her siblings that murder was okay if it was for a good cause. Rana has offered to assassinate her parents such that the deed can't be traced back to her, but Willow refused as she knew owing Rana was not worth getting her parents killed.

- Willow collected suitable scraps of cloth whenever she was out and sewed them together so that her siblings could have functional clothing and blankets to weather the harsh climate.

- She wishes to visit Hise for its warmer climate.

- She helped to make the costumes for Week 5's theatrical.

- Willow prefers colours that aren't glaring, and more 'dull'.

- Even if she didn't like Penelope romantically, she would still agree to marry Lisle as she understands what it's like to enter a marriage with someone they don't like, and she doesn't want someone like him to be forced into such a marriage.

It’s pretty obvious what musical Selena wants to put on, though this isn’t canon since it’s impossible for it to exist in the world of 7KPP.
