#With preg Yondu

@recklessxndrelentless Yondu was lying next to Kraglin, this time Yondu was with his belly up, he was waking up gradually, grunting something and licking his lips until he had finally woken up. When the Centaurian finally woke up he placed his hand on his belly, caressing slowly, rubbing, his pouch line was much more visible since Yondu's belly began to grow, he looked to the side watching Kraglin, waiting for the other to wake up and saying. "I feel like eatin' somethin' difference..." It was, probably, finally starting the food 'whises' that almost all pregnant had.

What's something you could never see yourself write with Yondu?

M-preg is a no. And anything to do with Yondu having a pouch, honestly. The whole pouch thing arose from a SINGLE frame of a comic that was released in 1992. Like, I don’t mind people poking fun at Yondu about it-- I headcanon it as a sort of urban legend about Centaurians perpetuated by in-universe media since they’re a fairly rare race that wouldn’t have much in the way of accurate cultural representation. But if people are coming to me looking for real, actual writing about Yondu having a pouch or bearing children? Nope. I personally find it unpalatable, and also super out of character.

Yondu and Peter as a romantic ship is another big one I won’t do. I admit, I’m not as opposed to this one now that I’ve read the 2015 616 canon. In those comics, Peter doesn’t meet Yondu until he’s 18 years old. Yondu’s much younger-- late 20′s, early 30′s by my guess. And their relationship isn’t by any means what I’d call paternal: Yondu’s the bad influence that teaches him the ropes of how to be a criminal. So-- from a purely comic canon standpoint, I don’t have a problem with it.

That said, I won’t RP it on my blog. Although I love comic Yondu from what I’ve seen of him, I’ve always written MCU Yondu, and Yondu being Peter’s father figure is just too deeply ingrained in my perception of the character. Long story short: it would feel weird for me.

There are other things that I struggle with, but I think these are the only hard and fast no’s for me.
