MIXNINE ep.9 Tinkerbell reaction
So I was on tumblr and looking at the KNK tag and saw this stuff going on about RBW’s Lee Jaejoon and KNK’s Seungjun. So I decided to watch the 9th episode to find out what was going on. These are my thoughts while watching their part.
1. The first thought I had was that Seungjun really is an angel. He knows how important teamwork is and tried helping Jaejoon out by suggesting that he take over the killing part even though he wanted that part too. And when Jaejoon said that he wanted to share Seungjun’s opening part with him, Seungjun was all for it! Even when the other members didn’t think it was a good idea. He did all this because his super kind heart believed in Jaejoon all the way up until Jaejoon proved that he couldn’t do it. Instead, his confidence got the better of him, making him hurt the whole team in the process. But just think of how kind Seungjun was! He is such an angel that we don’t deserve. seriously.
2. THEY FREAKIN’ COVERED SUPER JUNIOR’S ‘IT’S YOU’ AND (despite Jaejoon messing up) SEUNGJUN TOTALLY SLAYED HIS PART!!!!!! YA’LL DON’T KNOW HOW HAPPY I AM THAT ONE OF MY KNK BABIES SANG MY ULTIMATE BIAS GROUP’S SONG!!!!
3. “Wow! Mr. YG actually said something encouraging an nice.... don’t know if I should trust this or not....
4. Seungjun cried. I’m out for blood. How DARE they make him cry!!!!! Seungjunnie-oppa please don’t cry! You did so well! I’m so proud of you! You were amazing up on that stage!
Ok, to be honest, this moment sort of did remind me of JBJ’s Hyunbin during the beginning of Produce 101 s2. The main differences though, is that Hyunbin didn’t let his confidence get the better of him. He knew his limits and, even though he wanted to test them, he still asked for help from other contestants. With Jaejoon, we was just overly confident of his skills and didn’t seem to learn from his past mistakes. I don’t think that he’s a bad kid or anything, but I don’t think he has the right mindset either, especially for an idol. I hope this time he’ll learn that confidence isn’t everything and that he’ll need to work harder than he’s used to if he wants to obtain his goal.
And, to be bluntly honest,I think that the only reason why he got such a high score was because some of the audience might have gotten his name mixed up with the other Lee Jaejoon in the team. This is the only reason why I can understand how he got a high score. “It’s You” has always been one of my favorite songs and when he did the killing part, it just didn’t sound right. Did he really not ask for help while practicing it? Did he not listen to the song over and over again so he can get the beat and tone right? I just can’t understand why he failed to get it right.
So, I actually didn’t want this to be a ‘I’m angry at RBW Lee Jaejoon’ but as I kept writing these things just kept popping up in my thoughts. For all we know, he could just be another poor victim of evil editing. Let’s all just focus on the now and smile because Seungjun did such an amazing job during his part! That and he got an even higher score that Jaejoon!
KNK fighting! Tinkerbell fighting! Other contestants on MIXNINE that are struggling fighting!

My Thoughts on MIXNINE (Warning! Long post AND spoilers!)
So I just recently watched both the first episode of MIXNINE and the first 4 episodes of THE UNIT. Honestly? THE UNIT is by far the best survival show I’ve ever seen while MIXNINE is the worst. I think I’ll get into THE UNIT in another post ‘cause I want to make this one focus on MIXNINE and KNK.
For starters when I first heard that KNK would be on a survival show I was both really happy for them and really worried. I’ve already watched shows like BOYS24, Produce 101, No Mercy, etc. So I already understood how hard it was on the contestants while they competed on these shows. It wasn’t that I was worried that it would be hard for KNK ‘cause they weren’t talented, no. They’re some of the most talented idols out there! But, no, what I was worried about was Mr. YG. I watched WIN: Who Is Next and MIX&Match so I knew what kind of judge he was. He was always focused on things like if the contestant were ‘YG style’ and having his expectations being met. But, on those shows, he wasn’t the only judge either so it wasn’t like his decision was the only one that mattered. Even though I was worried as hell, I also knew that KNK made this decision themselves and, being the loyal Tinkerbell I am, I was ready to support them no matter what. Man I wish that they would’ve chosen to join THE UNIT instead....
When I first heard that MIXNINE had some episodes out already I quickly searched for the first english subbed episode that I could find. Even though I knew from Kpop news sources that KNK probably wouldn’t show up until either the third or fourth episode, I watched the first one anyway. I’m the type of person that has to watch a series all the way through instead of wait until someone makes a compilation video of cuts of my favorite contestant. Those are just annoying to me. But, anyway, so I’m watching the first episode and it starts off kinda funny due to No Hongchul’s reaction to being in the YG building and meeting Mr. YG for the first time. But as it goes on I sorta start getting annoyed by the comments that Mr. YG says to the contestants. Just some little stuff that I don’t agree with, but it doesn’t get bad until he and CL judge that 11 member girl group with a member who was on.... I think it was Super Star K? I thought she was super talented and knew that she deserved to be on the show. I got super pissed off when the only reason why he didn’t pick her, was because she had already been on a survival program. Why Mr. YG doesn’t want to pick people that have already been on survival shows? I don’t know. Would it be because he doesn’t people that have that extra attention? If that was the case then why would you allow Idols who have already debuted to join? Would it be because he doesn’t want people with survival show experience to join? That’s a bunch of crap ‘cause ONF’s MK was on No Mercy, and Park Doha, Lee Roobin, and Kim Yonghyun were all on BOYS24. PLUS! She was like what, 13 when she was on the survival show? That was so long ago!
and then! When he was judging that one girl group that made him smile ‘cause they were all beautiful and wore sexy clothing, man was that messed up. If I remember right he even said that he was gonna judge based on looks for them. WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL?! You’re gonna ignore pure raw talent and judge based on looks instead?! Now, I don’t know if that’s what he actually did ‘cause the clip was a bit short, but, if he really did judge based on looks, then that’s just wrong. But, what made me the most mad about that episode was when he was judging... 7 o’clock? I think? And he was so ‘impressed’ that he said, OUT LOUD, that he would rather dump everyone that they had so far and just go with these guys. How sick and cold hearted can you be to, not only think that, but to say that while the said contestants are watching whats going on? Isn’t this show supposed to help the contestants? If so, then why is Mr. YG instead degrading them and making them feel like crap because they don’t rise to his expectations? I felt like screaming at my laptop while I was watching the episode, but couldn’t ‘cause I was sitting in a public place waiting for my next class to start.
Sadly, I haven’t been able to watch the second episode yet ‘cause I can’t seem to find one with English Subs. but, needless to say, I’m not impressed. Now, because I follow a lot of Kpop news pages, I’ve been following along with official news about this show. I also have V-app so I was able to watch the mini-audition clips that MIXNINE released. Of course I was super impressed with KNK’s. Especially Jihun’s. His voice was just so amazing and I was expecting him to pass the most. But of course, when I got onto TUMBLR today, I was informed that I was wrong. I can’t believe that Mr. YG didn’t let Youjin and Jihun in. Now, I’m super happy and proud of Seungjun, Inseong and Heejun, don’t get me wrong. But can someone please show him the clip where Youjin is on Dream Team and making everyone awed when he sings? Or any clip of the choreographs that Jihun made? I know that I’m going to have to watch the third episode to find out what actually happened, but I know for sure that I’m not gonna be happy when I do.
Overall MIXNINE absolutely SUCKS and I feel so bad for my boys. Mr. YG if you ever make another survival show, which I really hope you don’t, then please plan in better and make sure you’re not the only ‘real’ judge. And also, can’t you actually take care of your contestants? I don’t care if it’s YOUR show. Degrading them, saying that their not talented because they don’t meet your expectations, and trampling on their dreams is NOT what judges do. ESPECIALLY when they it’s their job to HELP them. Also, if you’re being the victim of negative comments, then let me be the one to say that you deserve them. To my fellow Tinkerbells and other MIXNINE viewers that are doing their best to support their faves, don’t give up and just do your best. Mr. YG may be a snake but we know how talented these guys and gals really are, even if he is blind to it. Everyone, fighting!
