#Yata being a noticeably shorter figure

Lego Batman X Sarumi AU where Yata is batman and Saru is joker.
This is absolutely making me imagine tiny Lego figure Sarumis XD Fushimi is indeed Yata’s greatest enemy and will be very cross if Yata claims he’s fighting a lot of people right now, how dare Misaki fight around. Since Yata’s all rich and stuff maybe when he was younger and his parents were still alive he spent a lot of time being bored at fancy parties, which is where he met Fushimi. They became best friends but then after Yata’s parents died and he decided to become a superhero vigilante he kinda forgot about Fushimi and clearly Fushimi had no choice but to become a supervillain in order to get Yata’s attention, you know, as you do. Fushimi restyled his hair to look more like his shitty dad’s so that he would be extra super villain-y and that was too much for Yata, he has no idea that this villain is also his former best friend. Fushimi is very proud of being Yata’s greatest enemy, until Yata’s like nah you’re not my greatest enemy, I have a bunch of enemies. Fushimi is obviously displeased by this and has no choice but to aspire to even greater heights of villainy, so that he can have all Yata’s attention to himself (and then the big climax is Yata finally realizing Fushimi’s identity and admitting that Fushimi truly was his number one best nemesis all along).

So Fushimi is the only child of dictators Niki and Kisa, who are raising him with the intention of him following in their evil footsteps. Fushimi doesn't really have any interest in ruling and he has even less interest in doing anything his awful parents want him to do. Kisa basically sees Fushimi as nothing more than a political prop, to be used for advantageous marriages and to carry on the family line and nothing more. Niki on the other hand prefers to treat Fushimi as a toy, a fun little thing to play with and torment and then put away. Because the family are the target of constant assassinations and coup plots they have no human servants, instead all their needs are taken care of by a series of robot dolls, all of which are completely without personality. Fushimi also has his own doll, a red-haired one that mimics the form of a human which is programmed to care for his needs and not much else. Even so Fushimi's started to develop some measure of affection towards it, like this emotionless thing is also the only one he can confide in and talk to.
Of course Niki notices that his son is getting a little too close to one of his toys and naturally we can't have that so he just goes ahead and breaks it. Fushimi's heartbroken but can't admit to it, pretending like he didn't care about that doll anyway. As it happens though traveling scientist Shiro is currently a guest at the castle, visiting from a neighboring kingdom. Shiro is in actuality working with the resistance to try and take down the Fushimis but he needs to maintain his cover, seeing opportunity he offers to take the doll and fix it. Kisa allows him, not seeing the worth in a single broken doll (while Niki figures hey if it gets fixed he can break it again just to make his son sad). Shiro says he'll take the doll back to his country and then return it later and so he's allowed to leave with it.
The plan is to actually study the doll and maybe see if there's some way to like infiltrate the Fushimi castle via the dolls, however Shiro realizes very quickly that the doll itself was created by Kisa's company and there's no way for him to install any kind of backdoor. He goes to take the doll to the house of neighboring country lord Munakata, who is actually originally from the Fushimi lands and is secretly leading the resistance. Munakata can't find any way to even fix the doll let alone use it for their purposes and they figure they'll have to give it up as a dead end. That's when Shiro happens to visit this traveling circus that's come to town and he spots this red-haired acrobat who looks very much like the doll that Shiro took from the Fushimi mansion. He mentions this to Munakata, who gets a very dangerous idea – have the young man pretend to be a doll and infiltrate the castle that no other person has ever been able to secretly get inside.
Shiro isn't so sure about this, knowing what danger they'll be putting the spy in, but he agrees to extend the offer. Maybe they pretend to be working for Niki and try to offer Yata a place in the Fushimi secret police as like a test of his loyalty, turns out that Yata's family was killed by the Fushimis and he's been traveling around with the small resistance group Homra disguised as a circus. When he's told of the mission Yata doesn't care about the danger, determined to help bring the Fushimi family down and probably already dreaming of being the hero who kills Fushimi Niki's twisted son.
So Shiro and Munakata take Yata in, cut his hair and dress him up to match the doll. Shiro warns him that he'll need to act more robotic in order to pass but Yata of course is way too energetic to completely manage. Shiro sighs and says he'll just have to wing it then, telling Niki and Kisa when he gives them the doll that he had to do some 'reprogramming' of its personality but the doll should still be more than efficient when it comes to watching their son. The doll is returned to Fushimi, who barely even glances at it because he's determined not to get attached to anything ever again. He eventually looks up at the doll when Yata brings him his meal, Fushimi picking the vegetables out of his food as he mutters that the doll's even shorter now. Yata can't help himself and is like 'who are you calling short, asshole?'. Yata immediately thinks he's screwed but to his surprise Fushimi chuckles and thinks this reprogramming is at least amusing, nothing else in this place talks back to him after all.
The two of them are basically inseparable by necessity and as Yata spends more time with Fushimi he begins to realize that Fushimi is just as much one of Niki's victims as the rest of the country, constantly terrorized by his dad and utterly ignored by his mom. Yata's amazed though by how smart Fushimi is, like one day Fushimi's playing idly with some kind of puzzle thing Niki gave him for a joke and Fushimi's frustrated that it took him so long to solve when Niki did it in a day. Yata can't even follow his movements though and blurts out 'That's amazing!' before he can stop himself. Fushimi can't believe this stupid doll is calling him amazing, but then he starts to find himself hoping for it because he really does secretly crave recognition from someone. He finds himself starting to break his vow not to get attached, feeling like Yata's almost a friend instead of a servant and now he's even more afraid that Niki will find out and get rid of Yata again. Yata meanwhile is becoming increasingly more torn, he knows that he needs to keep sending intel and everything to the resistance but he also wants to keep Fushimi safe too and he hates that he has to keep lying to Fushimi. He wants to admit everything and bring Fushimi in on the secret so they can defeat Niki together but after seeing how Fushimi's been treated all his life Yata feels like if he admits that he's really a spy Fushimi will think Yata only got close to him in order to take down his family, when really Yata's fallen in love with Fushimi and wants to keep staying by his side.

Somehow I imagine Fushimi as looking kinda like the goose from Untitled Goose Game XD So poor Yata is sent to visit the local wizard, which is a really bad idea because who can trust that guy. Say Yata's family is newly moved to this kingdom and they've heard that wizard Niki can be a fearsome foe if he's angered. Concerned about drawing his wrath Yata's mom thinks maybe it would be a good idea to give him some of their vegetables, just to make sure that he doesn't curse them out of spite or anything. Yata agrees, figuring that maybe a wizard's house will be filled with lots of cool stuff and he could even ask to learn some magic. As he's walking he runs into like this skinny nerdy kid sitting on a fence near the wizard's house, who warns him to turn back because the wizard is a dangerous person. Yata says he's just bringing some vegetables and how bad could it be, the kid shakes his head and says Yata's an idiot if he keeps going. Yata isn't going to be deterred though, continuing to walk forward even as the skinny kid shakes his head. Once Yata gets past the fence he turns around to yell that see he's still fine but the kid has disappeared and there's absolutely no sign of him even though there's no way he could've gotten out of Yata's sight so quickly.
Yata knocks on the door of this creepy-looking wizard house and Niki answers it, all pleased to have a fun new neighbor. He tells Yata to come inside, Yata finds himself hesitating for a moment as he remembers the kid on the fence warning him to turn back. Yata's not going to be a wimp though and he decides to go in, where Niki's got the whole place set up for some dark ritual. He says Yata's just in time, he needs a pure heart to complete this curse and Yata's just the person. Yata's definitely not down with this now, especially since the whole 'pure heart' thing sounds a lot like ripping his heart out of his chest. Niki laughs and says he's planning on cursing 'a monkey' but even that doesn't sound good and Yata decides it might be time to beat a retreat. He starts to back up as Niki tuts that it's rude to leave so quickly. Yata makes a run for it but as he reaches the door something hits him in the back and everything goes dark.
When Yata wakes up he's lying on the ground and there's no sign of Niki's shack anywhere. Yata sits up, feeling really weird and wondering what happened. He looks down and his hands are all weird, Yata runs to this nearby puddle of water and stares at his reflection. He's been turned into this weird dwarf (Yata's probably so pissed that now he's even shorter than he was before). Yata's kinda freaking out and he decides to run home, but as he's on his way there he keeps noticing that things have changed around the area. When he reaches his house it looks more ramshackle than he remembers and Yata hears voices he doesn't recognize. He climbs on some rocks in order to look in the window and there's his mom with a new husband and new kids, listening in for a while Yata manages to figure out that years have passed and his mom thinks he's dead. Yata feels like she won't recognize him even if he calls to her so he decides the only thing he can do is hunt down the asshole wizard who did this to him.
Yata heads into the nearest village and everything's changed, the townspeople are more subdued and they all look at him with suspicion. Yata overhears people talking about a missing prince and he wonders when that even happened, like King Munakata wasn't even married when Yata left home. He's turned away by every place he tries to go, none of the inns will take him and even the vendors won't sell him food because no one trusts supernatural creatures anymore. Desperate, Yata decides he's gonna have to steal something, though he isn't really feeling the idea of having to like kill and eat his own food. He spots this goose trapped in a cage behind one of the food stalls and decides to go for it, thinking well at least he can get some eggs out of this even if he doesn't want to kill the goose. Yata grabs the cage and runs as the merchant yells after him, even so Yata doesn't stop running until he's safely out of town.
When it's finally safe to relax Yata sighs and sets the cage down, like all right so how do I get eggs from this thing. The goose makes a sound a lot like a tongue click and calls him an idiot, like you can't get eggs from a male goose you absolute moron. Yata's torn between 'who are you calling a moron' and 'holy shit the goose just talked,' he's never met a talking goose before. The goose snorts that it's just his luck an idiot dwarf stole him, he was figuring out how to pick the lock of the cage when Yata ruined everything. Yata's like I'm not a dwarf okay this asshole wizard transformed me and the goose suddenly looks at him before cocking its head and being like 'Oh, it's you. I told you to turn back, idiot.'
Yata's like wait you know me and finds out that Fushimi is both the kid he met at Niki's and the goose. Fushimi is actually Niki's son, however one day after Yata was cursed he ran away and was found and adopted by King Munakata, which makes him also the missing prince. However Niki came after him and made him a goose and Fushimi has no idea how to turn back, he was going to try and hunt Niki down and kill him but that's kinda hard to do as a goose. Yata figures hey cool I can turn you in to the palace for a reward and Fushimi clicks his tongue again all I'm a goose you moron they aren't even going to let you in the door. Yata says he wants to find Niki too, in order to reverse the spell that's on him as well, admitting that he should've listened to Fushimi the first time and turned back. Fushimi's like that's the first smart thing you've said this whole time, Yata suggests a truce so they can find Niki together. Fushimi doesn't see what kind of help a dwarf will be and Yata's like 'I don't want to hear that from a goose, you know.' Fushimi reluctantly agrees and Yata lets him out of the cage, the two of them agreeing to be partners at least until they find Niki and get themselves turned back to normal.

Akiyama having to get up on his tip toes to kiss Hidaka, and still being too short? Do you think the boys would tease him about it?(I live for Smol!Akiyama).
I kinda headcanon that poor Akiyama is vaguely embarrassed by hisheight, like he’s not viscerally defensive over it the way, say, Yatais but he also prefers to draw as little attention to it as possibleand figures if he just keeps good posture maybe no one will notice(it sort of works too, I can’t be the only one who was surprised torealize he’s the third shortest member of the squad after Enomoto andFuse). Of course then he somehow ends up falling for the tallest guyin the squad and every time the two of them are together the rest ofthe squad are like hey, doesn’t Akiyama-san look kinda…short?Akiyama sputters a little and mumbles that he’s not short, Hidaka isjust too tall. Luckily Hidaka’s a good-natured guy so he rolls withit, just replying with a sheepish ‘yup, I’m too tall.’ It’s extranoticeable sometimes though, usually when they kiss Hidaka will benddown for it but if Akiyama wants to do the spontaneous kiss thing hehas to get on his tip toes and reach. Also if we combine this withDom!Akiyama maybe it throws Akiyama off his game a little sometimes, like he’ll try to slam Hidaka into the wall and kiss him roughlyexcept okay, got the slamming into the wall part down but the kisspart becomes much less intimidating when he’s standing there on histip toes trying to reach Hidaka’s lips and not quite managing. Someof the other guys walk by as it’s happening and poor Akiyama isinconsolable with embarrassment for days, both Hidaka and Benzai haveto pat his head and reassure him that he is not at all short, really,Hidaka is far too tall. (Also imagine some time post-ROK Yata spotsthis and laughs because at least when Yata kisses Fushimi he canreach and Akiyama gives him this flat look like 'You’reshorter than I am, Yata-san. And Fushimi-san slouches.”)
