🌹 ! Do you have anything with “fold”? Or “floor”?
Nonny, you are in luck! I do, indeed, have a few selections for those. ^_^ And since I'm not sure what fandom you'd like... here are a few!
[Anyone else want to play? ^_^ Feel free to include a word for me to search for and/or a fandom.]
(By the way, I am really enjoying this meme; I hope you guys are, too! ^_^)
From Mirror, Mirror (a Guardian reincarnation fic):
Floor:
Another boy now sat beside him, a messy mop of hair crowning the warmest brown eyes Shen Wei had ever seen. Once they made eye contact, the other boy smiled and patted him once again on the back. "That's some impressive stage fright you've got going on there… Shen Wei?"
Shen… Wei…? That lifting second tone, lofty and free… Shen Wei's heart leapt with it, taking flight in a way it never had before when his name rolled off another's lips. He had to hear this boy say it again.
"Ah… no. No, I'm sorry. I didn't see. It's Shen Wei. My apologies!"
Wei. Flat, broad tone. As wrong as when his name tumbled from his parents' lips to crash upon the floor, unheeded, unresolved. He reached out, clutched at the other boy's sleeve and shook his head. "No. No, what… what you said before. Can you say it again?"
"Wha—? Shen Wei?"
Lifting tone. Second tone. Did it really sound so much better that way? Or was it just that it was this boy's voice speaking it? Shen Wei forced himself to nod. "Yes. That. I… I like that better. Can I keep it?"
And behind a cut for the rest, I think, or this will be far too long. XD
From Legacies Found, the sequel to Legacies Lost:
Fold:
Jiang Cheng took in one last, deep breath, then slowly extricated himself from the bed. As he pulled away, Wei Wuxian twitched, brows furrowing further, hands clenching in the sheets. It took everything Jiang Cheng had in him not to immediately fold back down around him, to ease that uneasy slumber in whatever way he could. But he had responsibilities, duties to see to, and he couldn’t afford to spend the day whiling away in bed, watching over his brother as he slept.
Floor:
And that was the entire problem, wasn’t it? Jiang Cheng could only assume that the non-Jiang moves Sizhui used originated from Qishan Wen. Perhaps there had been a cultivator or a guard left among the Wen Remnants, or perhaps Wen Qing had remembered enough of her own sword training to start him on the path, or maybe it had even been Wei Wuxian—his brother had been a genius with a sword until the Sunshot Campaign—remembering enough from fighting the Wen cultivators to teach Sizhui what they knew. It almost didn’t matter. If the wrong person saw Sizhui using those techniques, they would know who he was immediately, or at least who his people were, and that was just as dangerous. And so, Jiang Cheng couldn’t risk him sparring with the other disciples until he’d convinced the boy to stop using those techniques, at least where others could see him, even though he’d mop the floor with nearly every disciple at Lotus Pier, given half a chance.
And there are so many for both of these in Reclamation (most recent GYADL Whumptober fic) that how about I'll just give you this one...
Fold:
Luo Fusheng had a routine, now. When the sun's light was high enough to illuminate his bedroom, Liu-bomu or Yuan Yuan would knock on his door, politely leaving his breakfast just outside it. Still generally easy foods, gentle foods, kind foods that wouldn't tie his stomach in knots when memories had ridden him too hard in the night, but varied, flavorful, love in every fold of the huajuan, affection in every grain of rice. Liu-bomu and Yuan Yuan never stayed, never pressured him for company, just left the food and went to their own breakfast.

prompt: mdzs, but with daemons.
On the night he crosses swords with the lawless head disciple of the Yunmeng Jiang sect, Lan Wangji finds himself suffering the worst humiliation of his entire life.
He was ready to reprimand Wei Ying, ready to still his maddening, beautiful voice with a silencing spell and drag him off to the meishi to be punished—but then Wei Ying gasped in his arms, oddly unbothered at the prospect of being bodily hauled off the roof, and let out a bubbling peal of laughter.
“Second Young Master Lan, look!” he wheezed, pointing over Wangji’s shoulder. “Oh, heavens—are you this affectionate with everyone, Lan Zhan? Just what is your daemon doing?”
Lan Wangji turned around and blanched.
Yuchen was lying on the roof not six paces away from him, her furry limbs tucked comfortably beneath her, and Wei Ying’s brown-bellied osprey was cuddled up under her neck.
“This wasn’t my fault,” Qingwan chirped, burrowing deeper into Yuchen’s spotted coat. “Yuchen won’t let me go.”
“En, and I will not,” Yuchen said drowsily. “You can just sleep right here, since my Wangji is determined to run around playing the fool in the middle of the night.”
Lan Wangji wanted to die on the spot. Yuchen had never dared cross lines with the daemons of others, save for Xiongzhang’s white serpent, Yulan, who named Yuchen and helped care for her and Wangji from infancy—and yet here she was, caressing the feathers of a daemon she had known for less than ten minutes, and granting him a liberty she would not permit even to Shufu’s Kexin!
“Yuchen!” Lan Wangji cried. Wei Ying fell out of his grasp in a protesting heap of arms and legs, muttering something about rough treatment and wasted good looks and sticks-in-the mud, but Wangji was too horrified to listen to him. “Yuchen, let him go at once!”
“I do not wish to,” his daemon returned, so simply that Wei Ying staggered on his way to collect his fallen wine jars. “And Qingwan does not wish to leave me. For now, you must remain with Wei Wuxian.”
“Qingwan, come here,” Wei Wuxian chortled, now clutching the two pots of Emperor’s Smile to his chest. “Look how red Lan-er-gongzi is getting. And anyway, it’s late. Don’t you want to see Bao Xuan?”
At this, Qingwan perked up and wriggled out from between Yuchen’s white paws.
“Bao Xuan is our Shijie’s daemon. He’ll be worried if we don’t reach the guest quarters soon,” he apologized. “Madam Yuchen, farewell! I’ll see you again tomorrow.”
And with that, he fluttered off to perch atop Wei Ying’s head, after which the two retrieved their dropped passage token and vanished into the night.
Lan Wangji picked Yuchen up, afraid the leopard would disobey him and chase after Qingwan again, and took her back to the Jingshi in such distress that he thought he might go mad. He had never seen a daemon behave so shamelessly before, let alone one born of the Lan clan; the lone exception was Nie Mingjue’s tiger daemon, who was once spotted cleaning Yulan’s scales with her tongue after a particularly bloody night-hunt. But then again, Lan Xichen was the beloved of Chifeng-zun’s life, soon to be his lawful husband, and Wei Ying...
Wangji sank to the ground with Yuchen in his lap, and tried not to think of how Wei Ying had laughed when he saw their daemons embracing.
“No,” he begged, cupping Yuchen’s fluffy face between his hands. “Yuchen, you can’t mean that we—Wei Ying and I, we’re not—”
“The daemons of the Lan recognize their other halves at first sight,” Yuchen said kindly. “It was just so with Yulan-jie and Nie-zongzhu’s Chixin. You are fated.”
Yuchen would say no more, having explained all she wished to, and Lan Wangji was left to lie in his chilly bed, alone, reflecting on the clan scriptures to prevent himself from dreaming of Wei Ying.
He did not succeed, for better or for worse; but by the end of that week, Wangji was Wei Ying’s, and he had fallen so deeply in love that it no longer mattered.

Guardian (Episode 1)
THE MEETCUTE IS OVER PETTING A CAT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The best looking professor, too....
And now I’m going to translate this section of Yulan’s first careful look at Wei (beautifully reproduced by the actors as if it’s an Austen novel):
Shen Wei’s eyelashes are very long, when he lowered his head, his features seemed particularly fine, the shape of his eyes as clear as if drawn. Perhaps the glasses obscured much of it so that a first glance isn’t compelling, but a closer revealed his appeal.
Zhao Yulan’s nonexistent chastity tingled/stirred. (Zhao Yulan’s heart with nonexistent virtues tickled)
Kudos to the intricate thought processes that went behind book-to-tv world-setting change. Granted, it took out a lot of the fun of the mythology, but it did make it a lot more accessible to those less acquainted with Chinese mythology. Also, it’s definitely tried for internal consistency, because it also changed 5000 years (commonly considered length of Chinese civilization) to 10,000 (generalized for human civilization).
It does mean Prof. Shen talks about mutants and mutations like he’s Prof. X...with unncessary Sleeve Garters. SLEEVE GARTERS. This show’s killing me...
That and the Zhao Yulan’s INSOUCIANT LOUNGING on a motorbike..
“Arrangement to meet” after 10,000 years is is a Translation of Giant Understatement. It’s more like “We made a promise”.
Black Coated Envoy froze time and is essentially police from another planet.
As sci-fi tropes go, I’m really really impressed with how thorough the transformation is. Mutants, aliens, alien politics, earth-alien diplomacy, cross-species romance, time travel....

Psychic in Yulan NY 12792
The following article goes into detail about psychic in Yulan New York 12792 After conducting psychic readings, numerology readings and tarot card readings for over 20 years now, I have gained a definite perspective not only as an advisor but as a client. As a client, I have been able to see exactly how psychics who are not real work their magic. After getting a psychic reading from dozens of so-called psychic advisors, you may find yourself intoxicated by the things that the psychic tells you. If it sounds too good to be true, most likely it is. You have to understand the origins and purpose of psychic networks. Their job is to make lots of money, not to help you. Granted, there are real psychics who are gifted and working on psychic network lines, but I have found that most of the people working as psychic advisors period, are not real at all. I'm sure you have heard by now that many fake psychics use scripts and certain formats in conducting their psychic readings, but for the most part, it's really simple what they tell you that gets you hooked. For example, if after getting a psychic reading, you find yourself feeling intoxicated almost, then they have done their job superbly. To be told that the one you love, loves you and that you will marry them and be together for the rest of your life is intoxicating. They give you hope that keeps you calling and calling until after you see that you have been lied to, you begin to face reality and the truth sinks in, you now realize that what they said was not true when they said it nor will it ever turn out to be true. You will find yourself hurt and disillusioned beyond the ordinary disillusionment experienced from your own life's complications. You may even find yourself broke or in debt. It's unconscionable that people could prey on others' vulnerabilities and pain in this way. But that is exactly what they do. And in the end, there is only more pain. And the inevitable distrust of psychics. It's this "fake" paradigm, which has its roots in the first elemental phone psychic networks, that dominates the public's perception and legitimate scrutiny is reasonable. But real psychics around the globe are out there and you should make it your business to find a foolproof way of determining who is real and who is not until such time as this paradigm is changed to ensure that your advisor is authentic by virtue of their credentials as it is for any professional practitioner.
Now you may frequent sites where the advisor is given feedback after your call. This is a good thing but, it is not foolproof. I have seen fake psychics who will have almost perfectly glowing feedback that goes on and on for pages. Perfect! You may wonder why this occurs. Simple. After you hear exactly what you want to hear or want to believe verified, well, this is where that intoxication comes in, you tend to reflect your glorious feelings with equally glowing feedback! But when things don't happen the way were told, you never come back. So, others following in your footsteps will call this advisor because "they too want to believe." Another thing to watch out for is fake feedback. This is also a tactic used by fakes to fool you. On sites where feedback is left, an authentic psychic advisor has to have a very high level of integrity in order to be comfortable telling the truth despite the fact of what the client wants to hear. If the psychic does not tell them what they want to hear in a reading, the client may leave very bad comments and a bad rating. It's the price you pay for being real. In my experience when I tell a client something they didn't want to hear, for the most part, they don't leave any comments. The fact is, they will most likely go find another psychic who will reflect their own feelings about the situation. A reading can be truthful and uplifting without bringing the client down but you have to ready to hear the truth. So how do you know who is real and who is not based on feedback! That is not to say that an authentic psychic is not going to have great feedback. They do, but sometimes they will be the ones to receive bad ratings and feedback mixed in with the good. Life is all about taking the good with the bad. Honestly, it's very hard to tell. The proof is really in the reading and outcomes and developing a relationship with a few trusted advisors who have been able to connect with you and your energy and have proven that their insights and predictions have been accurate for you. But, just remember, if it sounds unbelievably good, it probably is not really true and the psychic is not real and only setting up a line to take your money and setting you up for emotional failure. So be careful of perfect feedback. It's really not always an accurate gauge of the psychic advisors true abilities; except of course their ability to fleece you out of your dollars. Of course, really consistently bad feedback is a good indication that the advisor is probably just very bad and should think about going into another line of work.
Another point, you need to understand that even if you are speaking with a gifted, authentic psychic, you and that particular psychic may not connect that well. That is different from the psychic being fake. There a many reasons why a particular psychic may not connect with you. They may not be rested and ready to take calls, or you may not be relaxed and ready to receive truthful information or in some other way blocking the flow of what is being channeled thereby skewing the information on either side. Psychic readings are not an exact science. Intuition is relied upon to conduct an accurate psychic reading for a client. The reading goes much better when both the psychic advisor and client are relaxed and ready to receive. I personally find it difficult to connect with a client who wants to hear a certain thing. I have experienced many times my client trying to guide the reading. So see your authentic psychic advisor as someone who wants to help you and be ready to assist in the flow of information. To spot a fake psychic is not impossible, but if there was a way to quantify the statistic of fakes out there, I would be willing to bet that most (due in large part to large networks hiring script readers) are not real. Unfortunate, but through observation and experience, I feel this to be true. One of the Oldest Tricks in the Book. First Warning Sign That You Have Got a Fake! One of the oldest tricks in the book and something which continues to surprise me because people are continually taken in is when a psychic tells you someone has put a curse on you or there is a negative block on you which only they can remove for some exorbitant price, HANG UP! Say goodbye, because this person could not care less about you or your problems. Psychic parlors are notorious for this kind of activity. It is not for real, the curse nor the psychic. I have always believed that having a good doctor, a good mechanic and a good psychic are all professionals that are worth taking the time to assess their skill, experience and credentials to see if they are the one for you. There is nothing more satisfying than actually making a positive difference in someone's life and their continued use of your service over many years. A walking, talking testimonial is very gratifying for this psychic advisor.
