I wanna talk about Sasuke’s Ambition to “Revive his clan”

Here are the original Japanese panels:

Let’s break it down:

名はうちはサスケ

Na wa Uchiha Sasuke

Name is Sasuke.

I will restore my clan, and there’s a guy I will without fail kill.

Okay so the word I want to talk about is “ 復興 ”, or “fukkou” in katakana. 

The way this is written can be open to interpretation, since Sasuke often speaks in a minimalist way. I think this is partially why it’s been translated as “restore”.

But there’s another way to look at this.

So with the Japanese language, the more familiarly you speak, the more you leave out of speech, and the more that is left up to “interpretation”. As a simple example, let’s use the phrase “It’s cute.”

Polite: 

それは可愛いですね！　Sore wa kawaii desu ne!

Familiar:

可愛い！  Kawaii!

What’s interesting is that both of these phrases mean “It’s cute!”, but the second one simply implies the word “it’s”. 

I think the same thing can be applied to Sasuke’s speech about his clan.

I truly think Sasuke’s ambition (other than killing Itachi) is to restore his clan’s name - to raise the Uchiha name from something people pity to something strong and proud. 

Sasuke is a proud character, so this is why I choose to interpret it in this way.

I’m so tired of people taking seriously crap like “he wants to make babies and restore the number of people in his clan!” no, stop it. He wants, one day, to be proud again when he says that he’s an Uchiha.

He’s probably spent years where other people shy away when he says his name. He doesn’t want their pity, he wants to be able to say he’s an Uchiha proudly, without the massacre looming over him.

6. excessive ooc

I'm not actually sure if this means just talking out of character or roleplaying a character in a very out-of-character manner. The first can't really be excessive since I enjoy chatting with my RP partners, but the latter can be a little off-putting.

But I mostly RP with other OC creators these days. So, I can't really know if the character is acting as they canonically should be which means I don't usually think about this matter. The few canon roleplayers I write with have given me a rather canon experience.

In this regard, I can't say I have too much experience with excessive ooc portrayal. And at the end of the day, everyone can interpret the characters as they wish.

14. icons

Personally, I don't use them, but I don't have any strong opinions about them either. I love my sprites, so I prefer either using them or writing completely without pictures. I don't have time or interest to make my own icons. But I don't mind if my writing partner wants to use them.

27. an old muse

I had an OC muse for Naruto fandom, Yume. She was part of the Uchiha clan but had been transferred away from Konoha before the whole clan was assassinated by Itachi. Her parents had never told her about this, so when Akatsuki sent Itachi and Kisame to kidnap her, she was completely oblivious to the reality of ninjas. I shipped Yume with Itachi, and back then, I had a steady RP partner who portrayed him.

28. your first muse

My first muse was Captain Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean. It started as a joke to humor my friend but turned into something more serious because she enjoyed interacting with my portrayal of the said pirate. And then I was sucked into text-based roleplaying... 🤭

I love the Naruto World so much that I wish I was in it, I want to be a female Senju princess who's a god child to Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki.

I'll love to be the last child of Tsunade Senju and Jiraiya Ogata, be the Sixth Hokage after saving the Leaf with Naruto Uzumaki, and is the main romantic interest of Sasuke Uchiha, a former student of Orochimaru Yashagoro.

I want Naruto to have a sibling, so I chose Deidara cause Uchiha Clan heirs tend to be rivals with Uzumaki Clan members and I don't to replace Hanabi for somebody else, so Hinata got a big sister now...how about Yume for the name...yes.

My name should be Misako, have a big sister named Akira who's the main romantic interest of Itachi Uchiha, and is the Chosen One with elemental bending powers as the Light Avatar who must destroy the Dark Persona.

I want Team 02 [Yoruha - Hikaru, Nayumi, Migaku & Sakura], 03 [Gai - Neji, Tenten, Lee & Kaede], 07 [Kakashi - Naruto, Misako, Sasuke & Hinata], 08 [Kurenai - Kiba, Tamaki, Shino & Shiho], and 10 [Asuma - Choji, Ino, Shikamaru & Akane].

Sakura need to be shipped with somebody else rather than Sasuke, she was falling for him and broke her friendship with Ino for his heart.

If I was her, I'll choose my friend over my crush and keep my bond.

Misako got three childhood friends; Naruto, Hinata, and Sasuke...it's that clear and simple.

Misa doesn't like fan boys at all like Sasuke don't like fan girls, they're from enemy clans and are best friends who's secretly betrothed to each other as a way to form peace to both family trees.

Watching all episodes and movies, I've learned many shocking plots and twists throughout my childhood.

Itachi's an amazing big brother, I wish Naruto has a brother and I gave him one...named Deidara rather than Menma cause I see that alternative future son of our ramen lover if he was married to Sasuke.

I want Naruto to have his first kiss with Hinata, which leads to this scenario...what if Misako was between both him and Sasuke during the episode where they were finding out their teams.

Misako will kiss Sasuke...again, here's the catch, they shared their first kiss at a young age cause they liked each other and can see their futures as a badass power couple.

Itachi had already predicted that his little brother was in love with Misako...like he was with Akira, Akira will prevent Itachi's death and tell Sasuke the real truth herself with her baby sister by her side.

I've read a fanfiction on Wattpad that has an original female character portraying as Nezuko Kamado, her name was Misa, I loved it and saw the major changes they've done...it was glorious...shout-out to the author.

I know one way to make Sasuke feel overprotective to Misako like she's understanding with him, I've made three characters we know as original characters named Hikaru, Nayumi, and Migaku.

Hikaru will portray from Toneri or Seimei, Nayumi will depict from Shion or Sawaii, and Migaku...I got something for him...Yoichi or Ren.

Misako and Akira, two sisters with their father's white hair, their mother's brown eyes, their father's red markings, and their mother's beautiful looks and gorgeous figure...I got their character portrayals...Heinrich Prinz (Akira) & Eugen Prinz (Misako).

Indra & Asura was in love with the Kishimoto Sisters named...Luna & Kira...

Kira will be the light that guides Asura to the Sun and into the Spirit World for a bright star.

Luna will be the shadow that escorts Indra to the Moon and get him away from the Phantom Zone for a dark cloud.

The sacred ancestry continues to Madara Uchiha's lover and Hashirama Senju's wife...Mito Uzumaki & Himiko Hyuga.

Years have passed, I want Misa to become the Light Avatar since the Dark Persona was her complete polar opposite...they're destined lovers.

I honestly want Misa to have two sons and daughters; Daisuke (OMC: Haruto Uchiha), Mikoto (OFC: Amara Senju), Yuta (OMC: Isamu Senju), and Sayuri (OFC: Kiyomi Uchiha).

SUMMARY

Kudan Suzujiro (Sato Ryuji) is a gambler who has been left all alone in the world. With a greedy nature and sticky fingers, he is loved only by the God of Gambling. One day, Suzujiro wins a bet with a demon, and gets his hands on a beautiful woman. The name of the woman is "Hakana" (Nanaki Kanon). This beautiful woman is a person who has been made from the best parts of a collection of corpses. But, she is someone who cannot be laid with until 100 days after her birth. Jack Sparrow's little sister from a different mother. She is a supporting character in a fan fiction story I wrote (The Hot Winds of the Caribbean), but I also included her in the same RP as Ana. She has no ship, but she wants one, meaning a boat kind of ship.

Aikiwa Yume

Fandom: Naruto

A young woman who didn’t know about her origins. She started as a self-insert (Afi) but grew as her own character, and I gave her another name.

Akatsuki ordered Uchiha Itachi and Hoshigaki Kisame to kidnap Yume without telling them the reason. Later, it was revealed she had been brought out of Konoha before Itachi had slaughtered his whole clan, so she is actually an Uchiha, too.

Yume is shipped with Itachi, and I wrote a 150 000 word story “The Red Dawn” based on that roleplay. The RP story is an AU where Itachi survives but becomes blind after his fight with Sasuke. Yume has twins with him at the end of the story.
