► New Song: "Avenue"

🐾 Listen. What can I say? I really enjoy songs that are heavy and intense but then end with a soft piano rendition of the main theme. I think I have a few songs that do that and I am 100% NOT sorry about that because I really like that juxtaposition! Anyway, this song is named "Avenue" because, after a few years in development, the aggressive brostep "growl" bass that you hear during the drop is the culmination of years of experimentation on how to craft, well, such a sound from scratch! This song has been in development for so long that I started working on it before I was ever able to even consider purchasing Xfer's Serum (which I do legitimately own now), so that growl bass is actually made using FL Studio's Sytrus plugin. I believe I started with the "Orbital Bass" preset and just touched a bunch of things to get it to that final sound. Such a feat was so astonishing for me that I decided to record the voice line of me genuinely saying "I never thought I could make something like this," because, well... I still can't believe how good it sounds. 🐾 Oh, right, that doesn't really why it's named "Avenue". So, early on in the song's development is actually when the name came about. I started experimenting with the dubsteppy growl sound and it sounded bad, but it was a start. It was the start to a whole new style of music that, at the time, like I said, I never thought I could create. And, so, it opened up a whole new "avenue" of possibilities for me. The picture I used for this is actually one I took while visiting Death Valley in California. I, uh... was driving, so I couldn't really purposefully get a straight shot, but I really wanted to get a picture of the long, straight road. There was another one on the way to Death Valley that I should have taken a picture of instead because I am almost positive, if you've ever seen a movie where the characters are driving down a long, straight road in the middle of the desert, I am pretty certain that was the road they use.

► New Song: "I Would Like to Introduce"
Song 3 of 8 from my debut album "I Would Like to Introduce" --> Watch the associated music visualizer on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pihbBC4YGzc ► You can listen to the album in these places: https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/daymusik/i-would-like-to-introduce-2
🐾 I would like to introduce: Me! Daymusik! I mean, I really don't know what I can say about this song. I don't think there is much to say about it. Maybe it's got a bit of that Latin rhythm to it to hint at my Hispanic heritage. This song was also one of the earlier songs I've made in FL Studio, using mostly stock sounds (like that voice lead from FL Studio's Harmor preset), but the Screamer at the end is one I attempted to make myself and one of my earliest attempts at original sound design. 🐾 Aside from that, the only other information I can really provide about this song are the voice clips. The titular "I would like to introduce" is a stock sample from FL Studio, but the "Daymusik" line is actually a recording of me saying "Daymusik" and processed through a vocoder using FL Studio's Vocodex.

► New Song: "Fusion"
Song 2 of 8 from my debut album "I Would Like to Introduce" --> Watch the associated music visualizer on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OxS8Fwsgv2c ► You can listen to the album in these places: https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/daymusik/i-would-like-to-introduce-2
🐾 Following the first song of the album — the first song I've ever made — is the first-ish song I've ever made when I switched to FLStudio. It was a while ago and I've already kind of forgotten which one was first, but I'm pretty sure this song was likely the first one I'd tried making in FL Studio. Around that time, I also made a song that I don't quite think I've released yet, at least not on here, as I've been working on making it more and more interesting over the years, naming it a new version for each, I suppose, "era" in which I believe it is finished. 🐾 Anyway, there isn't really much to this song. It's called "Fusion" because of a couple of things. More notably, it tries to fuse a few different styles and vibes, whether they're cohesive styles, I don't know, but, as they are introduced individually throughout the song, in the end, they end up fusing together. Additionally, the main melodic line. Just so that it is the most obvious, the song starts with the simple "1-e, a-2, &-a, e-&-a 4-&" rhythm then changes to a more complicated one (that isn't as easy to convey onomatopoeicly since it is just all sixteenth notes with different pitches with accents on ..-&-..-e-..-3-..&-a 4-&), then, as the music chills before the first thematic transition, you can hear the two melodies combating back and forth until it finally fuses together. Eh, it's probably weird to read it, if anyone is even reading this, so just listen carefully and it should be obvious why it's named that.

► New Song: "For the Stars"
Song 1 of 8 from my debut album "I Would Like to Introduce" --> Watch the associated music visualizer on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FMwnC4q5EUc ► You can listen to the album in these places: https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/daymusik/i-would-like-to-introduce-2
🐾 A bold choice to open an album with a slow song, I'm sure, but if people don't like it, that's not my problem. I decided, for my debut album, that I would open it with a modern take of the very first song I ever made. "For the Stars" was a song I made in 2010 during a road trip from Kentucky to Nevada to visit family. As I sat in the backseat of the car (because I was 14 at the time), I looked out at the clear, starry night sky and was just taken by how many stars I could see out in the desert sky. I remember having this feeling, I can't explain it, but I wanted to express it somehow, so I opened up my little ol' iPod Touch, opened my Xewton Music Studio app, and made a pretty similar version of what you hear here, just much, much less developed, of course. I have the original song uploaded somewhere on SoundCloud (but you can't see it right now because I haven't been able to pay for it), and it was also my first full-length song. 🐾 Opening with this song shows that I'm a band kid at heart, while I was never in an orchestra, the use of strings, flute, oboe, clarinet, glockenspiel, and vibraphone instruments (and the strings are individual instances of Edirol Orchestral for Violins, Violas, Celli, and Contrabasses, just one for each, though, as the VST has, like, "Violin ensemble" and whatnot to get a fuller sound) — the use of these instruments is meant to signify my connection to classical music and traditional instrument performance, me being a percussionist myself. Near the end, I have a marching snare drum solo meant to signify my connection with marching band as a percussionist, one year having marched in the drumline, but for the other 4 years, I marched in the front ensemble. Then, of course, the song shifts to a more EDM-style vibe to better represent the style of music I will most likely be making, but with the classical instruments mixed in as there will always be that element of classical and traditional music in what I do.
