You're getting both of them:

Offered to help them on something they can do on their own

Avery: If it's a sincere offer (like there's no obvious condescension or threat or anything), he'll either shrug it off or say sure if it's not a task they like doing all that much. If it's rude or hostile, will ask if the person offering ot help has that much brainpower to spare.

Jemm: Actually the 2nd best out of all my ocs at taking help! Admittedly, only from the bugs, but still, Jemm will accept the help and usually thank the offering insect.

Avery: Gets annoyed. He's got a hard enough time reading social cues, and unless this is someone he know very well (so almost no one these days), will presume hostile intent. Has learned certain phrases (comments on the speed of his drawings, people's jokes about the rotary phone, etc) are usually just banter, and shrugs that off. Much easier time w/all of it outside of English.

Jemm: Honestly I don't think Jemm hears a lot of shit, ze mostly hangs with the bugs. W/that said, mostly Jemm would consider involvement to be beneath hir, but if it's a casual enough situation will banter back.

Avery: Every goddamn day of his life, Avery is asked to do something he is uncomfortable with (exist around coworkers and not scream). It depends if it's a work request or not, and if it's Iceberg or not. Usually, grits teeth and complies, although with more snark than usual. Will ignore any and all guilt-trips based on friends/family/loved ones and will growl at you for trying.

Jemm: Can ride away gracefully on zir millipede and therefore does just that. Very few problems which cannot be solved this way, apparently.

13. wrote them a poem

Avery: Confused. He doesn't know why anyone would do this and neither do I. No good scenario.

Jemm: Jemm is essentially a deity incarnate, there's a lot of poems and hymns about Her out there (or so She thinks).

14. Someone died two weeks ago (they only found out now)

Avery: Honestly, unless it's Kondraki or Reno, won't care that much. Will miss closer coworkers, and will probably feel bad for not being able to give them a proper goodbye, but he's kind of in mourning perpetually?? Can't do a lot. If it's Kondraki then depending on where Avery is in the timelines, he's either killing himself or at least valiantly trying to. If it's Reno, he kinda shrugs and tries to pretend he isn't deeply distraught about it (both losing his only social connection and that he couldn't figure out how fix Reno's head enough that he would want to die naturally instead).

Jemm: Any and all human grief is suppressed by Jemm. Deaths of other Jemm incarnates are unfortunate but not worth dwelling on.

Poorly made doodles but they are variant versions of Jemmes Star, like I did with Paloma. The difference was that I never presented them as LM3 ocs. But thanks to Miitopia, it encouraged me enough to keep them and continue to imagine their designs and backstory.

Avery:

License - Yes driver's license, also used to drive a motorcycle! Got certified for forklifts and several types of other construction-type machinery over the years at the Foundation. Misses the motorbike dearly.

Piercings - Has several studs in the ears, and I like to think eyebrow piercings that he took out a few years back (the scars stay). Also has at least one nipple piercing (barbell), but takes it out religiously before missions.

Hundred - Many, many facts but: He's easily bribed with fresh fruits, especially berries. Likes pigeons and different breeds of pigeons (used to own a very cool book about them and is still really bitter about losing it). Doesn't like rose gold as a concept, it's ugly in his opinion.

Prohibited - Not much. Avery used to be somewhat of a social drinker (and a bit of a stoner but shhh, wasn't legal in his state at the time), but the worsened paranoia means he's usually only getting drunk once in a while, and usually either near the anniversary of the day or about a week before a violent breakdown happens. Occasionally he and Kon sit on the dinky couch in Kon's office and split a bottle of vodka.

Rainbow - Mostly he/they (in universe either 70-30 or 50-50 split) and very, very rarely they/she (not at the same time as he/they, though). Easiest way to know pronouns is the presence or absence of green arm wraps (if present, use they/she. If not, he/they). Doesn't disclose the she pronoun set most of the time, but hang around enough and they might drop it into conversation very casually.

Neutral facts - Indifferent to bugs as long as they are not in the workspace. Likes wearing skirts, especially long red ones that remind him of who they're pretty sure is their sister. Has a different favorite color for clothing, artistic supplies, and stationery.

Birthday - Ok this kinda funny. Avery doesn't know, this was one of the things that got redacted veeeeryy badly. Estimates it to be somewhere in the drift between summer and autumn (August-October, usually picking a random day in September to celebrate). Age guesstimates at 28-35ish (actually, i'd say he's w/e age Draven is plus four years, was about 27/28 at time of dimensional transfer, but Avery doesn't know this, so has to guesstimate).

Lunch - Small but semi-fancy meals based on family cooking or cool new recipes he found online. Eats quickly, at desk, doesn't like other people seeing him eat because between natural tremors and injury-caused nerve damage, he has to hold utensils oddly and can't use chopsticks in the correct way. Doesn't usually take a break from work to eat.

Sickness - Not really, but also just kinda refuses to acknowledge being sick beyond putting on a mask and maybe gloves. Work is work, Avery says, with a temperature that indicates they might faint the next time they stand up.

Family - ooof. Ok so the tldr here is that Avery doesn't know shit. He knows he has his biological parents (mama and papa), who came to the US and then met his dad (immigrant from India, with daughter who was Avery's age). He knows he has at least 2 sisters (one older from his parents, and the sister from dad, who he considers as family too), but there may be 2 others in there???? He doesn't know, and he doesn't get to know. The reality of it is that even pre-That Day, the issue with all three of your parents being refugees is that a lot of people scatter around the world, a lot stay behind, and many from both groups disappear. Family's- complicated. Loving but complicated. Found family-wise, Avery had a few people who were as close to him as his sisters in the Foundation, but that was Before. Nowadays, nope. The closest is Kondraki, who is more of a 'this is what i think my extremely distant relatives maybe would act like, and we have 2nd-gen Jewish immigrant solidarity' than actual family.

Jemm:

License - Pre-anomaly the human did not have any licenses. Currently, pilots a giant millipede with no certification necessary.

Piercings - Earrings, nose stud, former belly-button piercing.

Hundred - Zir hair is made of crystals that are different from the ones that make up the body and it doesn't move as much as human hair. Ze doesn't need to eat. Appearing in front of other people, She usually leaves sparklies in Her wake.

Prohibited - High on bug drugs, I suppose. Pre-anomaly, the human who would become Jemm's latest vessel was willing to do acid in a club with friends.

Rainbow - Ze/zir or Ze/hir pronouns on own/around the bugs/around humans in a non-rescue/cave situation, and She/Her in most appearances around people. Would kiss another incarnate of Jemm, but not interested in people by default.

Neutral facts - When not around people in She/Her mode, the music is blasting from the left titty bc that's the heartbeat and the lightshow compresses back down into the right. Ze likes strappy sandals. Hir least-favorite insect is big moths (flies + looks off + big + FLIES).

Birthday - Jemm is eternal, unborn and undying, as old as the first crtystalline structure within the universe. This particular incarnation was probably 24 around time of assimilation, and would be 60 or so now except for the whole 'unborn and undying, agless' thing that being an incarnate of Jemm brings with it.

Lunch - Doesn't require sustenance, just travels. May occasionally absorb intriguing rocks, crystals, or gems, but this is used for storage and healing, not for nourishment.

Sickness - Can't really get sick, but occasionally grows mold around the same time as the human would have gotten colds in zir past life.

Family - Bugs, other incarnates of Jemm, and no contact to the pre-Jemm human family. No room for that when you serve a higher purpose.

[DE:O5EO]:

License - Moped/motorbike type, and wanted to be a crane operator, but under no circumstance should you ever allow him to drive anything more car-like than a golf kart.

Piercings - Ears, had w/e it's called w/a stud through the top of the nose (between the eyes), snakebites, tongue piercing, nipple piercings, he's really not afraid of needles and finds the feeling of metal in his body reassuring

Hundred - Basically perpetually traveling in and out of anomalous areas by accident (including being teleported in and out), and doesn't realize it. He's currently pending classification as a high threat simply for being near impossible to detain (doesn't realize anyone was trying to detain him). Owns a discoball earring that he loves and was part of a gifted set from his parents for his 15th birthday.

Prohibited - Regularly. Last seen fully sober maybe 6 years ago. Always something to keep the party going, cheer up, raise the roof, etc etc etc (day-to-day it's just a little weed, not so much stoned as a microdose but still). Further helps/harms the continuous anomalous incidents bc he's convinced if it's not a delusion caused by untreated issues, it's the drugs. Also, the booze leg, storage of wonderful alcohol.

Rainbow - He/him. Flirts with everyone and is very friendly and handsy in general, but he's not actually interested in anyone in romantic/sexual ways.

Neutral facts - Keeps emergency booze in the hollow of his fake leg (it's not a very hi-tech model, but it was optimized around efficiency in terms of weight and shit that could be added onto it later on, he's using the space for whatever the nearest alcohol is instead). All-time favorite style is microbraids, although they take forever in his opinion (guy who won't sit still and keeps dancing along to the music even though the hairdresser needs him to please not move). Paints nails new colors whenever he can.

Birthday - June 6th, nebulous year (essentially whatever decade 86/96/06 puts him at mid-twenties or up).

Lunch - Anything and everything. Lots of smaller meals throughout the day, no real set routine for it. Can and will forget to eat regularly.

Sickness - Can't stop won't stop, but yes, and doesn't realize it most of the time. Asymptomatic carrier of many, many things by accident (will mask up if realizes he's sick, but he never really feels the effects he ought to).

Family - He doesn't really remember his parents (although he has memorized the number and leaves rambling voicemails a lot). Lots of calls to his wonderful dear cousin whenever he can. Firm belief that the world is one big family, and anyone you can share a good drink with is a long-lost cousin.

License - Yes driver's license, also a trucking license from pre-Foundation days, comes in very handy more than you'd think.

Piercings - Probably none? Maybe a pierced left ear, but they don't like risking any extra shit with health, whether that's substances, piercings, or surgeries they don't physically need.

Hundred - They would love to dye their hair bright colors, but they worry a lot about what people would think of that and how well the color would hold. Their favorite part of the week is always going to be calls with their baby cousin [DE:O5EO]. They try to visit their family once a month, but work doesn't make that easy.

Prohibited - Coffee á la shot of bourbon is a great way to start off the day on actual Fridays, your workweek's Fridays, and 2 weeks before and after (and during) tax seasons. Weed is great at home over a 3 day weekend. Did coke a few times before getting hospitalized, which leads to the worrying about health and abstaining from any substance until the first Foundation tax season breaks their decade-long sobriety streak.

Rainbow - They/them, demisexual but open to the idea w/just about anyone. Work's always gonna come first though, don't expect that to change ever 40 years down the line.

Neutral facts - Wanted stick bugs as a pet when they were younger, but never got the chance and is scared that getting them now will cause accidental neglect & pet death. Secretly still holds breath when driving through tunnels and makes a wish while driving out if they didn't breathe the entire way through. Uses extra qualifiers (quite, very, really, factually, etc) to indicate irritation/displeasure.

Birthday - August 14th, is 38-42 w/the og Foundation timeline (placed in the late 00s/early 2010s), but floating year to always be in/near 38-42 to their cousin's 27-30ishness.

Lunch - Standard meal-prep type stuff but with family recipes and stone fruit when it's in season. usually takes lunch somewhere in the 12-2pm window for twenty minutes of eating and twenty of just relaxing and stretching.

Sickness - Yes, 2.4 times annually on average, usually cold/the flu/minor stomach bugs. Hospitalized one time with food poisoning (was ok after a few weeks). Pollen allergy.

Family - Parents are divorced, relationship with them strained from other issues. These days, closest to their aunt and [DE:O5EO]. Has a few coworkers who are close, but that's more of a hookup-buddy thing than family. Is content with that.

Jemm's really careful about not touching her hair when she's in front of people! Also the instinctive little scans ze does before sitting or lying down to avoid accidentally squishing any of hir buddies.

Yes and no. When in front of people, no, Jemm is a radiance and an otherworldly fantasy and she is built to be a flawless abstraction. Away from others eyes, yeah. Pre-anomaly scars transferred into Jemm, and it shows in damage done to the actual material now composing zir limbs and body. The dull scars are from human times and the glowing scares were acquired post-anomaly, as Jemm. Many are from Zyrca, but a few are from the more drastic rescues Jemm has engaged in.

Jemm-eral Jemm Info:

Jem's technically doing full-time drag when appearing before other people

Jemm's anomalous quirks (as a servant of the actual anomaly) includes redistribution of density and mass! This trick allows Jemm to move in between rocks the same way insects do, squeeze into weird gaps, and distort the body. Only weight remains constant (approx 190), and outside of squeezing through tunnels, Jemm stays reverts to zir default form (think the version of Jemm that's riding the giant centipede)

Different incarnations/iterations of Jemm prefer different insects! None of them like flying insects however

Jemm's pronouns are Ze/zir/zirs/zirself (she/her/hers/herself for the drag ego)

Jemm's always got music in zir veins and lights glimmering under zir skin, but they become externalized when she's perceived by other people. Technically, she's doing full-time drag whenever perceived by another person.

Ze started out as an excuse for me to a) draw pinup girls, b) practice dance poses, and c) start getting over my fear of insects (varying results).

Lotsa bugs and gems as accessories! Primarily isopods and milli/centipede members to form beautiful brooches, belts, earrings, and sometimes decorative tassel flairs to outfits. These bugs tend to take on jewel tones and unusually bright colors.

Jemm doesn't really talk. Ze's doing zir thing, she shows up to rescue people, and then disappears.

Everyone look at Jemm, the most confusing POI any MTF squad has encountered to date! Jemm is a strange and odd phenomena, bordering on the absurd in terms of tales told to rookies, a borderline ethereal gem-like insect-covered being which appears to agents stuck in caves or underground and rescues them, accompanied by a music best described as false-80s or a mix of tecno-industrial-synth. The clohting looks more like an eighties discotheque than like it belongs in the 80s, and the music risks deafening at least a few agents each time. Notable details agents are advised to watch for: Distinctly unnatural hair, usually mimicking bismuth structure but in a pink or red gradient. Short boots or extreme heels. Insects of unusual size and friendliness that don't look like insects so much as bejewelled versions of themselves (exoskeletons made of pearls and precious gemstones, etc). Eyes that look like they're made of a gem inset into Jemm's skull.

Jemm is difficult to pin down, as typically while Jemm arrives with an accompanying lights and sound from nowhere, this arrival is usually into a hopelessly dark cave where the agents have given up on survival. As such, no photographs or video recordings of Jemm exist, only a handful of hearsay accounts and a few sketches.

Recently, within the circles that know of, there are now rumors of a mimic predator lurking within certain tunnels. No one is quite sure how to differentiate them quiet yet, one agent recorded the sighting to the best of ability.

Notable Jemm vs Zirca: Zirca's anatomy tends to be distinctly non-human (unusually short or long torso, elongated limbs, distinctly insecto-leg-like eyelashes, jaw that's more inhuman than yes, and the tendency to sprout extra limbs when grasping at prey), and the insects are notably absent, although traces can be found weaving in and out of Zirca's body. Zirca also has, in all sightings, worn tall boots.
