Heritage Post Suggestions Welcome!

Tokyo Ghoul may have a dead fandom these days, but I'd hate for the old posts to slowly become lost to the void.

I'm looking for a minimum of around 10k with exceptions for notable posts such as more obscure content or translations* from Ishida or the anime or posts that I find particularly funny (I'll admit I've been biased a few times).

*(For example, if anyone saved the fully translated episodes of the radio show, please send them my way).

Any artist who does not appreciate their old work being reblogged here is welcome to contact me and I will remove it.

The comment brought Henry clear pause, a flicker of surprise passing over his face. "Wait, can we do that?" It wasn't something he could see himself doing—too concerned about misstepping and drawing undue attention to himself. Still: "Guess I always thought that was a joke." A pause. Then, the hint of a smile. "You should do it."

"I'd prefer just not going at all." He still would, but he could complain nonetheless. "I think I could use the day off. Or the week."

It should have come as little surprise, the interruption. William had been working at his desk for hours straight. From paperwork to sketching designs to reading over proposals ( and resisting doodling in the margins ), the work hadn't exactly been invigorating. Still, he made some attempt in vain to ignore the man draping himself over from behind him. He refused to give in to distraction too quickly.

"You're always bored. You need to be entertained at all times or you start misbehaving." The words were condescending, but the curl of his lips was lesser so. A joke, for the most part. The college comment only earned a snort. "Not more than a semester. I need my privacy." Well, that was one way of explaining it.

Still, his hand lifted, fingertips brushed across one of the arms atop his shoulders. William wasn't a man who typically withheld physical affection in his relationships. Ciarán was different, however. Too involved, too knowledgeable of William's many quirks. ( More likely to see through the persona. ) That alone usually made him falter. But not this time. This time he sighed, leaning back into the embrace as Ciarán rubbed against him.

Beaten at his own game.

"What could you possibly even want?" Both hands pressed over Ciarán's forearms—firm but gentle touch. Letting himself savor it for once. "Or have you even figured that out yet? I'm not going to stop working just to pet you." He was doing a damn good job of it already, though.

okay, headcanon dump for cassidy's survival AU ( appearance here )

her brother, jordan, is killed instead of her. whether or not jordan is a part of GF in this verse is. undecided as of rn lmao

cass and jordan both represented easy victims because, like, they're two kids with a barely present, seemingly uncaring mother. cass has been given eldest-sibling-turned-parent treatment, which means an eight year old is literally getting watched over by a 13-year-old. they love fre.ddy's and spend a ton of time there, and both are susceptible to wanting anyone to give a shit about them. honestly, i'd say jordan is the easier target anyway, because he isn't as untrusting or "difficult" as cassidy

anyway, in both this verse and canon verse, bethany ( their mother ) moves not long after the murder. there's a multitude of reasons for this, but honestly none are actually bad. nonetheless, it fucks cassidy up to have to attend a funeral ( with no body, mind you ) and then move the moment things are "settled" from the place he was born and raised

cassidy already acted out some pre-murder, but it worsens in the aftermath

he goes fully no-contact with his mother upon turning 18. unlike jordan, cassidy would not change his mind about this or be open to resuming contact. this isn't a moral statement on either btw, both were genuinely messed up due to how she raised them and both are valid in how they chose to handle that as adults

cass never forgot the mentions of other missing children around the time jordan disappeared. she starts looking into it heavily in high school and immediately goes back to hurricane when she has the chance

it's 1991, cassidy is 19, going on 20, and has only one purpose in life—finding who was behind her brother's murder ( because of course he's aware of the disappearances in the town since then too ) and quite literally killing them

yeah, she is in over her head lmao

while she doesn't specifically suspect william himself just yet, she is certain there's a connection to fred.dy's

while cass is fine with the name "cassidy," by adulthood he mostly introduces himself as "cass"

re: deanlisa

first of all, i love love love lisa braeden. i think she’s such a legend. any criticisms i have on deanlisa as a pairing are not because i hate lisa or think she ‘gets in the way’ of my other ships.

first off, i want to mention that lisa was not originally meant to come back in s5/s6. they wanted to get the rights to do a Friday the 13th kind of scene in dean’s dream in 3.10, but couldn’t, and c*ndy s*mpson was available. but to me, it makes no fucking sense whatsoever that dean would go back to a girl he had sex with for one weekend in 1998, particularly when cassie robinson is right there, a woman he loved, his longest relationship, and a woman who challenges him and makes him better. but also this is a tv show and outside forces effect the story.

i understand the appeal of giving dean kids to look after, but i don’t believe ben is dean’s, and their relationship feels stilted.

i don’t see dean as someone able to give up hunting, fully, in any capacity. i don’t like 6.1 and the life he lives. i feel like lisa is less of a person at this point, and more of a woman shaped plot device. i love her 3.2, but i feel like she simply represents the apple-pie life by s5/s6 and loses a lot of her agency. i don’t think dean could really be happy with her in the long term. i want to see lisa with more agency at this point because like i said, i love her. i just don’t like this plot. but i’m still interested in roleplaying it/about it because it’s fun to put dean in situations he won’t thrive in.

however, other than like, 1.3 (and obviously raising sam) i think ben is like, the first kid we see dean have to interact with and take care of. which sets up krissy, jack, claire, and bobby john (and emma but that’s another post), in a really interesting way. particularly because in 3.2.... he’s not good at taking care of ben. he teaches him violence immediately without talking to lisa first. and lisa, the absolute legend, is like fuck off!!! and i love her for that.

anyway i’m rambling but i think lisa represents something bigger— dean’s desire to be normal. this is what both sam and dean want, and both of them get it. dean with lisa and sam with amelia. but neither of them really work.

so yeah i hope this helps explain my feelings on deanlisa. i don’t ship it but i don’t not ship it. i think dynamics are fun to explore regardless!
