Adam Nagaitis to appear in Steven Knight's period drama!
Adam will appear as Lord Lonsdale in S1E5 of 'A Thousand Blows' 12-episodes historical sport drama about illegal boxing.
It is written by TABOO and Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight and stars Stephen Graham as Sugar Goodson, a veteran boxer.
It's been found out by my amazingly intelligent mutual on X, that Adam most likely plays Hugh Cecil Lowther, 5th Earl of Lonsdale, who was a founding member and first president of the National Sporting Club, and donated the original Lonsdale Belts in 1909 for the boxing championship trophy. His name was later given to the Lonsdale clothing brand of boxing garments and the Lonsdale cigar size.
In 1891 Hugh Cecil Lowther set up the first organised boxing matches with gloves, following the deaths of three boxers in bare-knuckle fights. (i believe this episode might be described in the series)
So it's not just a fictional character, it's a historical figure.
Btw, his wife's name was Grace.

Prompt 206
There seems to have been a bit of a misunderstanding, Ellie is realizing as she opens the door- in her pajamas no less- to the freaking Justice League. Either that or they’re gonna’ have to go on the run from something her brothers or Vlad did.
…
What do you mean Jazz blew up a building?! Without inviting them?!

Curze grinned at the First Captain suddenly, transforming his visage into a death’s head rictus lit by febrile eyes. ‘Now you have met my brother, you must surely prefer crows to ravens.’
That was a joke, thought Sevatar. He did not understand jokes. ‘My lord, are we finished?’
For some unfathomable reason, that made Curze cringe, and he nodded like a rebuked child.

damn we really don't think enough about the major world events that crowley and aziraphale have witnessed on both ends. all the horrible things like wars, discrimination, natural disasters, genocide, etc. yes but also all the good: liberation, major political reforms, the invention of new genres and materials and technology and fields of study.
like oh my god. they were there for all the centuries that women had no rights at all and then they got to witness the suffragettes, the women writers and royals and inventors and activists. they got to witness the overturning of anti-lgbtq and racial segregation laws and the celebration of human rights and identities. they were there to witness international tragedies but also the solidarity from everyone all over the world rallying for peace for people they don't even know. they got to see humans create new forms of art and fashion and the printing press and electricity and poetry and and and coloured television and music and they got to see humans constantly find new ways to find connection and love and fun and passion and their own forms of expression.
like imagine being there for everything. how could you not love the world after seeing the fall and rise of humanity over and over again in every way shape and form for six thousand years. holy shit

Just realized that the only thing keeping Mobius from aging was the TVA, and that if Loki and Mobius did have a life down on the timeline together, that would mean Mobius would begin aging and Loki would inevitably out live him. Meaning if they really wanted to be together forever they'd be forced to stay in the TVA. No one fucking talk to me

I have... quite a lot more to say about this, and I will once the Whole Thing Finishes, but in short:
There was a real-world location heavily featured in the penultimate chapter of the Javid Denkins fic (and if you don't know what I'm talking about, let me refer you to my previous screaming on this topic)
Through random luck, unexpected availability, and a lot of cheerleading, I ended up being tagged by other followers of the Denkins puzzling to go to said location
...Where Javid Denkins someone had left a real-world, real-life treasure
You can find the immediate aftermath of that adventure on the seagull blog (here, with associated codes whose transcriptions are provided in the ALT text beneath the read-more cut).
A scan of the treasure, along with the Javid-style pigpen font I ended up generating just so I could encode teary poetry into my seagull responses, can be found/downloaded from this Google folder -- because holy fucking shit, this cannot be mine alone, it shouldn't be mine alone, and I feel kind of shitty that I opened the fucker in the rain and so couldn't leave it for someone else to find too. Hopefully posting it here mitigates that to some degree.
This has been the wildest, most gratifying correspondence I have ever held with an unknown and unknowable artist, almost entirely through the medium of Art, and it has blown my fucking mind to a degree that is almost indescribable.
We shall see if, once the final chapter drops, I can finally find the words.

honestly hilarious how many punches ive been pulling for fear of coming off wrong wrt fucking homestuck of all things but it's not just lame cowardice on my part like i think since bearing witness to the kind of insane fandom discourse that existed 2016-2020 i'm half convinced i'll be skinned alive if i imply something strange or unsavory about somebody's blorbo. but actually no that makes it sound like there will be tangible consequences for mildly irritating someone on the internet which isn't true generally speaking it's just the rsd/ocd and i need to get over the idea of people not liking me
