megan came on the radar beginning of 2020 when auston followed her and then she posted in toronto and anons started to clock it then his mom followed her and people thought they were maybe a couple. Buttttt then pandemic happened and he was still hoeing it up having parties with the nelk boys etc and wasn’t confirmed for at least a year (?) that him and megan were actually in a a real bf gf situation. And it wasn’t fully even believed till they were hand in hand at an amusement park or she got a playoff jacket. So follows mean nothing but it could be a sign he takes her more seriously and something could happen down the line based off the megan pattern imo

The beauty of sports and hockey, if we can ignore the ugly horrors that come with it (which is disgusting that we have to do in the first place), is the connectivity you can feel in seeing how each player got to where they are. I just saw Auston Matthews' mother talking about sustaining his hockey career by working two jobs. Seeing how his upbringing and success stemmed from a similar experience with people in my life made me so emotional. It's beautiful.
