Speaking ab my brother yesterday... I was just remembering some stuff, and I remembered that when my bro and sis were little, I would always proofread their essays. One time, my brother was supposed to hand in this essay about art forms, and he chose dancing, and he had a huge portion about breakdancing and the history and blah blah.

The only problem was... he called it BACK breaking. THE ENTIRE ESSAY. and he had already handed the first draft in 😭😭 we still tease him about it to this day ISUFHSDFHUDFI

What gets you irrationally/atypically passionate? How about the ROs?

Okay, so, thank you for asking this question. The other day, I was in the YA section, and I got the book with this really pretty cover. I kind of forgot the synopsis. But anyways, it's called Ever the Hunted, and it is the WORST book I have EVER read, and I will tell you why!

okay. so. first the mc starts out by saying that hey, ive been starved for I think 6 months? apparently they have this 'mourning ritual', where hunters starve themself after they lose someone. however, how could she possibly survive for 6 months without food? she said she drank water, but it's not possible?

but i suspended my disbelief. maybe she's magic.

she then says she is in the King's royal forest, and she shoots an elk. She then says if someone caught her, she would get murdered. Oh, cool, okay? But your dad was a hunter, and you went on hunts with him? in fact, your house is by the forest? Was there no other elk in the world?

And then not even a minute later, after telling us it is deadly illegal, she says that the ROYAL GUARD are going to her house today, to seize her house. she explains her house was her father's, and now that the mourning period is over, the government gets the house, since they gave it to him. She says a BUNCH of contradictary info, so let me state it:

her father was a well respected man, as he was the royal hunter. okay.

however no one likes HER because she was had out of wedlock with her mother, who is actually from a country that is at war with her father's kingdom. okay!

Her mother is a poc! Awesome!

She is shunned by everyone for being born from her mother... but how would random people know? Oh, maybe it's cuz they look similar? She looks like a person from that country? Perhaps she's a POC!!

nope. She is pale as snow. And she has platinum blond hair. oh.

Her father was actually not that well respected bc their awesome house is a tiny tiny TINY thing, and they had like zero money, and now she's homeless.

anyways. she tries to sell the illegal meat in the market. there is only one guy that used to trade with her, but he refuses bc well it's ILLEGAL.

she goes home. the home infiltrated with royal guards. with illegal meat. of course she gets the death sentence for gods sake! so when she gets there the lord says they found the evidence of the man who killed her dad: her love interest, Cohen.

He was her father's apprentice, and she was in love with him the day they met. There was SO much evidence, i don't know why she was so against finding him?? he literally abandoned her months before the fast????

anyways so she has no choice but to find him or otherwise she gets the death sentence. then we get flashbacks.

do you know what my biggest problem is?? she says he is '2 and a pinch years older' than her. She says she is eighteen at the start of the story.

Later on, however. After they have had SEVERAL kiss scenes. She admits she is 2 WEEKS FROM BEING EIGHTEEN, AND HE IS 21 KISSING A MINOR??? WHAT??? WHAT THE HELL????

And another thing! The book sleeve ruins the ENTIRE story! I found out every major plotpoint from it! I knew the villain right away too, because it was so goddamn predictable! They even tried to do the one bed trope!

And another thing!! Cohen SUCKS!! He literally gaslit her at EVERY OPPORTUNITY!! he cares about her so much but know NONE of the townspeople will talk to her! She literally brought him back from the dead and almost lost her life in the process, and he left the day after 'to keep her safe'???? And when she finds someone to help her with her magic? he gets!! MAD!!!

he constantly critiques every thing she does! He calls her stubborn, but do you know he actually continuosly got her into problems? He picked fights on purpose, put himself in dnger, revealed himself when he was a WANTED FUGITIVE!! and then he would blame it on her, only later to apologize halfassedly and do some weird sexual thing!

and after the sexual stuff!! He says 'i shouldn't have done that. i didnt even like it.' he even made her dress as a boy, and never called her attractive until her grandmother dressed her up and gave her a makeover!! WTF!!!

the ending was so predictable, for ONCE he does something good and says you can use some of my lifeforce so you dont die to save the prince, but she transfers his essential lifeforce, the one she has a string of destiny, into the prince and is attracted to him in the end.

it was such a shitty book. i think everything i hate was in it. it even had the most uncomfy scenes in it. I hated it so much.

For the ROs:

Hannie really doesn't like corrupt politics. They hate people who almost religiously follow someone, and don't realize what they do behind all that. They could go on and on about media consumption and properly navigating it.

Oli gets very passionate about uno and monopoly. They also will go on and on about the guitar!

N is very passionate about the human body. They know everything that makes it tick. If you have a problem, they've studied for it, they'd love to tell you! They especially like the brain. They used to be interested in being a psychologist as well, so if you ask them about brain science, or psychology, you're set! And of course, they love dramas, and their family. They're a hopeless romantic, so ask them about what they want in a partner, what true love is, they'll be talking for hours.

i did a couple pretty cool things today! I went bowling with a couple friends, and my friend aikhako (the concept and official artist for all things thrill seeker) asked me if I would like to make a webtoon with her, so I'm pretty excited for thinking up stuff for that!

I also videocalled @jaunefleurwrites! It was awesome to actually see her???? like wow???? even more gorgeous than i could have THOUGHT???? but actually jaune and i have reached our anniversary for following each other, so we were thinking of doing a collab of some sort! and it was awesome to also just chill and talk to her which was so awesome??? she's even better than on tumblr (impossible to believe, i know, like how are you supposed to improve on perfection??).

anyways yeah!!! a little bit of a ramble but today was really good!

Aala it's the same here. God forbid if I understand any social cues and after days I will just suddenly just jump up and say "Oh! So THAT'S what was going on!!"

im usually good with social cues, but when it comes to someone i have romantic attraction for, or when im close to someone and they had an attraction to me, I would never get it😭

Yk what the way I found out ab same sex couples were because one of my childhood friends came out to me as bisexual, and then told me they had a crush on someone. And then when I asked who that person was she just said it was a guy and started describing ME. Like 'he has gingerbread brown eyes (cuz I had told her I wish I was born with blue eyes since they're always described nicely so she looked for the shade of brown mine were) and shoulder length black hair, he's pretty short, his clothes are very brightly colored, he is someone you know REALLY well'

and i did not clue in but she promised to tell me who it was later in the year and so on that day we walked around the whole school looking for him as i pointed to EVERY man in our grade and she wouldn't admit it and finally, at the end of recess she was like 'its you' and i didnt even believe her😭😭 i literally finally got it and was like 'its... actually me??? why?????' and the second one was 'im so sorry oh god'

and we mostly put that past us but then a couple days later another two of my friends told me they had a crush on me and i was just like.... huh???? WHAT???

and the other problem is one of my ways of making friends is jokingly flirting but i didnt realize for years to stop until many of my friends came to me and told me they had feelings for me and i had no idea why LMSDIUFIU😭😭😭

so yeah i really cant get clues when it comes to friends and close people LMAO

I'm allergic to mosquitoes. 👁️👄👁️

YOU AND ME BOTH OMG????

ive actually really gotten over my bug allergy recently, they dont really swell up or spread like they did when I was a kid, but I've noticed a couple interesting things about it:

Before it was crazy, like I was afraid of a butterfly landing on me, it was that bad😭 even ladybugs and ants! But I've noticed it's really calmed down, AND what's happened is now I have kind of like a spidey sense? Before I even see a bug, I get an itch, and it works while im a few feet away from them!! It helps me stay alert since they might be in a nook or cranny. So I never feel that nervous because I can just run and grab a slipper!

It's worked for beetles, ants, moths, centipedes, mosquitoes, and spiders. I'm kind of curious what else, too!

Anyways that was a lil ramble, hehe!! If anyone else has allergies, can you tell me whether your's calms down with age? Mine flares up a bit when I travel, but it's a lot better than when I was a kid!

My friend has an allergy to stress, as in idk when they're stressed it releases a hormone and his body is allergic to it! So when we order food you can see his arms break up into hives, but he told me it used to be worse than when he was younger and it's a lot easier to manage now! It also helped him to start trying to be more confident and relaxed, so I guess allergies can help us in some ways!

Please don't write another IF. You're already lazy enough writing this one.

I don't really know what to say to this one. But, then again, I don't really owe you any sort of explanation. You have no idea who I am or what I've been through these last few months, so I really don't know where you get off of that you can speak to me so harshly.

I have very little time to myself, and I am making this IF for free. Between this, I've been helping my Ukranian family seek refuge here. I am paying for their stay. I'm working and studying, too. I get very little free time for this IF. I understand if you don't want to read it, or any of my other WIPs, but I don't think you have the right to talk to anyone this way regardless. I do not owe my time to you. I am not your personal content machine.

If you think you can do better, I truly encourage you to try. Maybe you can take this stick out of your ass while you're at it.

I’ve collaborated with the incredible @aikhako again for N’s birthday celebration! They've, of course, blown it out of the water yet again!

One thing I'm excited to announce for this celebration as well... I have finally moved the demo from inkle to twine! I have edited chapter 1, so it should hopefully flow better now!

Hello everyone! I actually can't believe it, but today, we passed 5000 views and 2500 browser plays for Thrill Seeker!!

First of all: thank you guys so much. I literally wouldn't be here without you guys. The support I've gotten from you amazing folks is staggering. I really want to thank ALL of you for supporting Thrill Seeker, you guys are so lovely and to be honest, the love I've gotten here has gotten me through some really tough times. The friends I've made here are absolutely wonderful.

I love talking to you guys, seeing your art and hearing your theories, and I love hearing what you look forward to. Thank you for listening to my ramblings and being so lovely!! I'm so happy to have people like you engaging with Thrill Seeker and I appreciate every single one of you.

Your favorite IFs? I don't remember if you have already answered something like this and I'm looking for something to get addicted to.

I've actually been looking for the post I made about this exactly, but here's a bunch more!

@reincarnation-if - A RESURRECTION STORY, BABY!!! I love the author AND the story, I'm totally obsessed with it!! The demo isn't out yet, but I literally can't wait!!

@manonamora-if - I cannot recommend this author enough. Check out her IFs here. I don't even know how to begin describing how amazing she is-- it seems like she can literally do any genre!

@attollogame - I'm sure everyone knows this incredible if but, if you don't, definitely check them out RIGHT NOW! They're going to celebrate their two year anniversary soon, so this is the perfect chance to read the work and find out more about this awesome game!!

@jaunefleurwrites - another one I mention a lot. But she has so many amazing WIPS and IFs and I'm not sure if all my audience knows about it!! You can check Jaune's masterpost for all their amazing IFs (my favorite is definitely A World Without You!! There's just a certain warmth in Jaune's writing that I absolutely love!)

@magiciansvoyage - Yet again someone who shows up on the blog a lot-- I'm getting my favoritism out of the way, don't worry. Arlo is such a lovely writer and person, and Magician's Voyage is easily one of my favorite ifs. Arlo's writing is so immersive and I love fantasy, so easy rec from me!

@parkerlyn - The Nameless is literally one of the best IFs out there and you are missing out if you're not reading it. They are also celebrating their second anniversary soon so send them some love!!

@anathemafiction - If you're looking to buy an amazing, immersive game, this is the one to get! It's fully released, incredible quality, and you can download it on mobile or desktop. I would definitely recommend checking them out!

@thefallendivine - I love betrayal stories. You play as the heir to heaven and hell, but your family has been killed by your peers. You're in a situation where you're not sure who to trust anymore. I absolutely love these kinds of stories!! I think if you like Thrill Seeker, you'll enjoy this is!

@sevensdeadly-if - You get to interact and romance the seven deadly sins. How much better can it get, man??? Is there anything more I need to say to sell it?? Chapter one was released recently, so an excellent time to read it.

@nextinline-if - Are you looking for an if with DRAMA?? ROYALTY?? A STORY THAT MAKES YOU LOOK WITHIN YOURSELF, THAT MAKES YOU WANT TO BE A GOOD RULER??? then look no further than this amazing game!! Constantine has my heart and I will love him till the end of time, so if you do play, pick someone else, because he is MINE!

@lifesupreme-if - There are defiitely not enough sci-fi if's out there, and this story is based in the world of Cyberpunk 2077, so it was an automatic win in my eyes.

@when-life-gives-you-lemonssss - This is nothing like Thrill Seeker, and I love it. It's a cute slice of life with a bunch of awesome ROs. I love domestic games, and this covers all the boxes in the cute game checklist!

@whenbodiescollide - when i saw the synopsis, it immediately caught my attention. the entire aesthetic of the blog plays in so well with the story that i can't recommend it enough!!

@vendetta-if - another awesome synopsis bro. I love revenge stories, and this is probably the best IF you're gonna find of it, baby!

@lacewing-if - Their if doesn't have a demo yet, but I already love the premise. Keith has my entire heart and I can't wait until I can get to romance him properly LIUHDFSSDFHUI

@thehunt-if - Another concept I love a lot-- you play as a hunter for supernatural beings!! But then!!! YOU GET POSSESSED BY SOMETHING YOU HUNTED, AND NOW YOU HAVE TO WALK A MILE IN THEIR SHOES!! i cannot stress how much I love this hehe

@hummingbird-games - Moreso a VN, but still such a cute game and I just love it sm!!! The art is so gorgeous and it's just so nicely done!!

@if-whenthesunrises & @if-mirrormine - both are excellent stories!! The lovely author is on a hiatus right now, but I would still recommend checking out their work!!

@unwilling-souls-if - The premise is just so insanely good I can't even explain it. Check it out and you'll get it, LMAIUHDSFUHDFIU. Xander-- watch out. I'm coming for you.

Hi, again its me, IF anon. One of my character's names is Aala as well, I saw the name on a baby name website last year and decided to call her Aala because it was such a beautiful name and it really suited her, so when I started following your tumblr and found out your name was Aala I was like 👀. Anyways, enough of my rambles I had another question. What has been the hardest character to write for you and what was your inspiration to want to start writing IF? Hope u have a great day! 💕

The hardest character to write for me was probably Oli, as I have the least in common with them. Sure, we share talents, but in the end I don't have their personality and they don't take a lot of inspiration from me. It's esy to write what you know. It's harder to make a new person from scratch, you know?

My inspiration for IF is that I've been making games and coding for a long time, but then I felt like I wasn't doing enough. I typically like more story based games and my previous games just haven't been story based. Then, I read Scout by @anya-dev and I was just blown away. I didn't know twine was something you could use and make stories with and I was just blown away by the application of it.

I already have had a lot of story based games floating around in my head. I actually dreamed Thrill Seeker and played as my old classmate. I did my research, started my blog, and copy pasted and modified my ready story into Inkle to make my demo.

I hope you also have a great day!! Aalaa in arabic means 'Blessing' and it comes from the Quran verse Surah-rahman. It goes فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ, which means 'which of the lord's blessing's will you deny?' It can also mean a truth that cannot be denied-- something so plain to see you cannot refute it :-)

Y'all. I was in class today and the two most tiktok-y boys I have ever seen came in. I was ignoring them but then they were like "HEY LITTLE LADYBUG!!" so i took off my headphones bc like WTF. Are you talking to me? And they were. They proceeded to call me little ladybug for the majority of my lunch break and then I had enough and I SNAPPED and I started insulting these boys to HELL AND BACK and then they were REAL quiet. Little ladybug. THE NERVE???? IM LITERALLY GOING TO BE THINKING ABOUT THIS FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE
