Bubbles and backyards

Request: Coco comes home from a run and he finds his OL and Letty in the backyard blowing bubbles with their dog and he’s just standing on the back deck smiling like an idiot until they both see him standing there. 😂 I kinda took it from the esthetics list #7

"Babe? Leticia?"

Coco's gun was already drawn, aiming low as he slowly walked through the house. Your car was out front, your phone and keys on the counter, TV on in the living room. Everything looked normal, except for the fact that you weren't anywhere to be found and neither was his daughter. It was strange, both of you usually together watching TV or making dinner when he got home. It was not normal and it made him uneasy until he could hear the distant sound of your laugh. 

His brows were knitted, still confused and he tried to follow it, leaving the hallway and making his way to the back of the house, relaxing as he looked out the window of the back door. There you both were, voices light and free as you laughed. Letty was trying desperately to blow a single bubble, the fluid dripping, and popping before she could create one. 

You, on the other hand, were doubled over with your hands on your knees as you watched her struggle. There were tears in the corners of your eyes when you stood back up straight and Coco laughed quietly, his smile bright. Normally he let you both know when he was coming back home from a run, but he had wanted to surprise the two of you today. Now as he took in the sight, he realized he might just have to surprise the two of you more often. 

He stayed there watching as you finally got your laughter under control, blowing your own bubbles along with Letty. The family dog was having the time of his life, tongue out and tail wagging as he ran and jumped around the yard, trying desperately to catch them. It wasn't until a few minutes that you both happened to notice him. You both looked at Coco, the gun in his hand setting you off in a fit of hysterics once again. He tucked it away with a quick shake of his head, opening up the back door to join the two of you outside. 

With a playful huff, Letty laughed too. 

"Can you please take her somewhere? I've been trying to blow this bubble for like six minutes and she keeps laughing at me so I can't get enough air because then I laugh too." 

Coco rolled his eyes but smiled himself, watching as you wiped the corners of your eyes before hugging him. 

"My stomach is cramping." 

He nodded, laughing at you slightly as he hugged you back, pressing a kiss to your cheek. 

"That's what you get for roasting my kid." 

With the laughter dying down some, Letty was finally able to blow her bubbles, the three of you enjoying the last little bit of light before the sunset as a family.

For the ones who can't recognize the specific moment, Abby is getting stabbed by Ellie on her shoulder: it's a very gore scene and I can't deny I had watched this a lot of times, not just for the esthetic (which is very emotional and realistic), but also because we can hear for the first time Abby screaming.

She always talked in a low voice, only when it's necessary: we heard her crying, gasping and yelling at Ellie, but never screaming; so we heard her real voice, and it's so nice

Seven coloured thoughts of Poe

By reading Edgar Allan Poe´s short stories I´ve found that most of them represent themes such as madness, revenge, death, justice and obsession. Although the way Poe describes the characters and their actions with this tedious tone and horror atmosphere or mood, He caught our attention by including elements like colours, context images in spaces and symbols-. Poe uses these symbols with a heavy meaning to bring more attention to the story and more relevance to a meaning or a message.

The Masque of the Red Death is a great example of how these symbols are used not only to create an atmosphere but with a meaningful purpose. Here are the most important ones:

1.The castle/Abby/Fortress of Prince Prospero

The place is a site of confinement that is hidden from others, secluded in every way possible. The atmosphere of this place is a gothic one, full of mystery and loneliness because it is a giant fortress with welded doors shut from the inside, so that means everyone is saved but trapped in monotony life of fear. It is a symbol of security from above the peasants, their own trap and condemnation An example could be Arendelle’s Castle in frozen and Hotel Transylvania in a different context but keeping the save fortress concept :)

2. The ebony clock

In the story the clock is described as a gigantic clock which sound is so deep and thunderous that no one can escape from the stricken of the hour, however this clock is perfectly situated in the darker of the rooms, always reminding the end of the hour and at the same time hypnotizing with its pendulum swung. A clock is a tool for us to know what time is it, but we can´t stop time, it is also an ebony clock so we can´t ignore the thunderous sound of it that represents the reminder that death is unstoppable and that even by staying away from the Red Death they weren´t excluded from death. It is a symbol of death and the image of time being present everyday reminding with its stricken, the closer we are all to death every day of our lives (in this case to Prospero´s guests)

3. The seven coloured rooms

This is the main meaningful element in the story because of its meaning and the esthetic that Poe shows us. There are seven coloured rooms that have a colour and going deep into the meaning of these seven rooms are an allegory to life and the stages of each human life. Starting with the seven, it symbolizes perfection and life (an allegory of God that created earth in seven days) so the story takes these seven rooms as a stage or phase of every life. In this case, we take them as the life of Prince Prospero who walks through each one chasing the Red Death in its´ masque. Starting from the East that is a reference to the “beginning”:

 Blue: representation of birth, innocence, unknown, something pure. 

Purple: a combination of blue that is birth and red are the intense experiences 

Green: has to do with the flourish and growing phase called youth, compared with a plant 

Orange: Interprets the summer or autumn of life, which is the youth but also age (to maturate) 

White: An age symbol, the colour of bones and white hair because of the age. 

Violet: Suggested as a combination of purple and blue, that represents darkness and fading of life (to be close to death)

 Black: It is clear in the story that this colour is the representation of death and blood because of the darkness and the scarlet blood windows. 

When Prince Prospero walked thought these rooms chasing the Red Death is an allegory of the way his life was finishing from every single one of the rooms (stages of his life) until the last dark room with the clock, the darkness and the Red Death It is also related or represented with allegory of the seven deathly sins which are: gluttony, envy, lust, wrath, greed, sloth and pride.

Finally, last but not least

4. The  red death:  At the beginning of the story we figure this character as a plague or an illness, but it is a pure representation of death Death is a state in which we are not alive anymore and it is something we can´t stop from happening, as humans we are all going to die but the image of death is something we create in our own vision and context. We can figure death as a skeleton shape, as a grave, and related to darkness, ending and suffering. In this case, the Red Death is called read because of the descriptions of all those dead people covered with blood, but the way it is described with its´ masque is very clear because death has no shape, no face, no genre and nobody so we can see it as the fear of the end. No one can escape from it because even if you hide in a giant fortress, it will find you and kill you. In the case of Prince Prospero he is doomed by being trapped, eventually, the red death found him and ended with his life in a very symbolic way.

so, this story is full of meanings (very significant ones), symbols and descriptions that refer to the importance of the elements, personality and atmosphere in order  to create a point of view and a critic plot in which the reader gets curious and involved with the story, It might  be tedious to read a description of a cold, lonely Abby full of scared people but whenever you catch the meanings and allusions in the story it gets quite disturbing to find out which would be the end of the characters and of these symbols.

She would be so popular (ofc because she’s hot af) even if she’s in a new band or they’re not so talented. She would write many songs about you or would add something related to you in each song (girlies get mad at it, lucky you)

When the band gets popular and money starts to appear she definitely spoils you, she takes you to fancy places and buys you fancy clothes. She also has a lot of posts of you on her social media as she gets more comfortable with the public, also, public gets less crazy and they get obsessed with you and Abby and just your relationship in general (because how fucking cool is to be hot and have a hot gf who’s also s rockstar?!)

Also imagine all the times she magically disappears on backstage before and-or after performing just to eat you out (of course the rest of the band knows where you both are at but who cares, it will give more flavor to her performance lol). If it’s before going on stage she would wait till there’s minutes left yet she would take her time with you, touching you in all ways in all places possible and trying to convince you to be loud cause who tf is gonna hear you when there’s lots of girls screaming out here right?. If it’s after then she would definitely take some time, I think she would definitely like fingering so yeah…. wont get into much detail there!

I think she would also love to speak about you during interviews. She would definitely enjoy showing you as well (ofc if you’re up to it… well, even if you’re not she would do it still just not showing your face. She just loves you a lot). She would find a way to bring you up all the time.

She’s not active on social media BUT I see her as someone that enjoys doing lives, just the band she’s in, in general they’d always go live before or after going on stage (yeah, even when she sneaks with you, but again, everyone just ignores that!). And most comments would be about her ofc, and she enjoys it even tough she’d pretty shy whenever girlies get way too intense (she would faint if she saw tumblr).

Talking about tumblr…. you (me) or the rest of the members in the band would most likely show her all those edits and fics people makes about her and she wouldn’t know how to react lol.
