Now I’m here blinking in the starlight
Mira smiled as she leaned on Josh’s shoulder as he recited the line from one of her favorite old movies. “It really is beautiful,” she whispered.

A Random Diversion
@hubwalker1 @kroottheflora (anyone else who wants to randomly have fun)
Solaan was always excited to run into some friends on the Hub, even though it was likely that he would do so on any given day. Still, the second Solaan crashed into Josh and Kroot, he was beaming.
“Hey! Hey! Josha! Kloot! I was just looking for you! I had an idea! Do you and like anyone else want to go off the Hub and check out one of the nearby planets? I hear there’s a world with a high population density that has some cool urban areas and stuff to do there! We could go get drinks or go to arcades or amusement parks or anything!”

Tragic Back Stories
@greytavirp
Josh was on a mechanic’s creeper on his back under his Arcadia Class Jumpship. One of his last few possessions from his home and he endeavored to keep it in ship shape despite the technological differences between home and here. He we working on one of the landing struts and reached out for a tool he had set aside but couldn’t quite find it. He felt around hoping to grab it but unfortunately it was just out of his reach.

Personality Quirk
Overhead lights flickered, emitting an oddly eerie ambience, in a cold hallway on a vacant sector of the Hub. The Collective had been in the process of gathering diagnostics on a set of long since disserviced data nodes, before requesting assistance from nearby inhabitants on their job boards. Station Maintenance Ticket: 113970-42A-783 Priority: Low Recipients: Open Attached: Sector 98-H Collective Data Node Maps, Data Node Disambiguation, Maintenance Tool and Supply Cache Key Collective data nodes on level 98, section H, malfunctioning. Caches containing necessary equipment for repairs have been unlocked for crew use on level. Drones unable to assist due to on station signal interference from an unknown source.

Disunity part 7
continued from here
Kroot had found his way into the prison and was walking around looking for the figures that they were after. “Would be good if i had someone with some technology to help me.” he thought to himself. Suddenly the alarm went off, surprising him, making him think he had been caught. He quickly smashed the nearest speaker to him, but that didn’t get rid of the sound, and the flashing red lights. He decided that he should probably start moving faster and started looking for his friends rather than the figures that they were after.
He wondered if he was already too late.

Knock Knock
OUTGOING TRANSMISSION FROM:
VESSEL HRB-1093, LOGGED AS: OBLIVION
COMMENCING MESSAGE
Cod grinned and leaned back on his captain’s chair, his long, thin, webbed feet flexing, the veins glowing in the faint reflected light of the nearby planet Stedna-III and, even more strongly, the emissions coming from the back of a much larger ship that they were approaching from behind. “He-he-heeeyyyy, Den’so! Long time no see? Why don’t you open up those doors and give little ol’ me some lovin’, what do you say? Maio’a wanted me to find out how that pass went!”
He bopped the large red button on the screen with one of his toes and it turned green as it cut off the signal and waited for a response. Twitching his ears, Cod smirked over at his second-in-command, Sadra, who was covering her face in exasperation as she stood just behind him. “What’s the matter, milady?”
“It’s a wonder anyone lets you on their ship. If I was Den’so, I’d destroy this ship and send you spinning into space.”
“Oh, save the formality lecture and go get this beast’s belly ready to open up wide!”
“Whatever you say, Khagan...”

Drinks with Comrades (After Mission Party) Part 2
(Continued from this) (Tumblr kept eating my responses on my RP blog...going to post here for now until it gets resolved...hopefully)
@sen-solaan @kirithevikingninja
Mira chuckled as she finished her soda/milk drink and quickly mixed a personal favorite of ours as Solaan ran over to the fountain. She quickly followed the senaalian over to the fountain in the plaza.
“Very nice fountain!” she said looking it up and down. “Nice design!”

The Curious Botanist (Part 4)
[From here]
Vidra hurriedly moved the blue orb of plants towards the capsule.  Focusing to ensure the inside of the biotic shield hadn’t been disturbed (no explosions from within, thankfully), she deftly plopped the plants into the capsule.
Then, without releasing the shield, she threw one more biotic pulse at the capsule, and the top of the capsule closed, sealing shut.  It was only then that she released the shield.
“Okay,” she jumped forward, picking up the capsule and stuffing it back into her pack.  Then she threw both hands before her.
A biotic barrier emerged right behind Elyse’s.
“Okay, you can let yours down,” Vidra grunted, preparing to add more force into the barrier.  “I need to check projectile radius.  Retreating to 10 meters distance.”

Rush Hour
“Where do you think you’re going?”
The brusque voice just managed to reach across the crowded diner, one the staff was well-trained to hear. A long-necked alien halfway out the door groaned and tilted her head upwards, her segmented ears twitching in annoyance, and she looked over her shoulder at her well-built boss, the being’s four arms serving three at a time, one fist planted on her thick hip as she scowled at the escaping employee. “Just gonna leave during a rush?”
“Yeah, I know, but I told you I was gonna go, like, a week ago, Drossa!” she complained back, her bad mood worsening even more. Her short, messy dark hair bristled as her violet gaze quickly moved away from her boss, determined to leave.
“You’ll be on garbage duty next time you come in here, Eeti!”
She groaned inwardly but continued smashing her way past the people in the threshold, sprinting down the stairs and skidding right, her two-toed feet scrabbling against the dirty stone. She pulled off her dirty jacket and stuffed it in her shoulder bag, ducking under two aliens and sidestepping a tall, spindly-legged mount with a face so convoluted she couldn’t tell where its mouth began and ended. The street was glowing with a dusky, cloud-covered light, stained orange from the dusty atmosphere and the setting star, and there was an even stronger light from the storefronts and the distant cast of transport engines buzzing overhead, big bulky hovering crafts with sprawls of graffiti and aged, peeling, rusting paint. Eeti worked in the heart of the Ionov colony on Thinda-KLX-I, specifically, the Chaos Strip in sector J. And right now, she had plans to be far away from any sectors or colonies worth visiting, if there were any on rusty barbaric Thinda, a planet where most unwanted things in the Pulse Cluster seemed to end up. She just hoped she wouldn’t end up running later than she already was.

Note
Do you like roleplaying?
I do indeed enjoy the occasional roleplaying! I have a semi-used blog, @lefthanded-sans-rp, for the purpose of roleplay. I admit don’t jump into spontaneous one-on-one roleplays with people without any prepared story, though, and I don’t roleplay characters from my fandoms. For instance, I’d never roleplay as Sans or Papyrus or any of the characters within Undertale. The most I’d do is roleplay in the Undertale fandom universe with Undertale-inspired characters.
Usually how I do roleplay is getting together with a group of individuals with a basic theme. Someone may help set the story, though oftentimes we all work together to write the setting and the story together. The first big roleplay adventure I got involved with (Battle of the Grounded Dungeon, or botgd) happened entirely accidentally... I was just trying to do a prank on someone, and that somehow turned into everyone’s dashboards exploding and people entering into a roleplay. It turned into an epic adventure with a memorable tale, lovable characters, and... to be honest... I’ve met some of my best friends through that! We got over a hundred and fifty people involved (with maybe two dozen people regularly rping for over a year). Lots of fun.
I’ve done some other text roleplaying on tumblr. In fact, I’ll be starting a roleplay with a group of awesome people tomorrow!!! It’s going to be set in a space/science-fiction setting, and I’m expecting it to be a blast (pun slightly intended). In fact, if you’re interested, you’re free to join! It’s going to be great. Let me know and I can give you the discord link so that you can meet everyone and see group announcements. All posts for the roleplay will be tagged #abchron so that you can follow and add on. The first few posts about #abchron give some more information, in fact, in case you’re curious to learn more. :)
Hahaha, didn’t mean to turn that into an advertisement for the upcoming space rp, but yeah! TL;DR, I do sometimes roleplay. I only pick and choose to do a small number of rps (so don’t feel sad if I don’t take an invite, but I’m always flattered when you send one!), but when I do rp, I tend to get very, very, very involved.

Blinking in the Starlight (Part 2)
Continued from this
@hubwalker1
“No, I’m pretty sure I am,” Mira said giggling when he started nibbling. “I mean after our...fight way back when, I thought...I screwed up big time, and you found it in your heart to forgive me when you didn’t have to. You could’ve just never spoken to me again.”

Disunity (Part 8)
[x]
Vidra told them to “get ready to run.” Solaan needed no more encouragement. He darted forward, charging straight toward the prison doors. There was no thought - or, at least, no conscious thought - only throbbing and overwhelming fear.
He kept expecting something to hit him. Some weapon, some projectile, some... something... to knock him to the ground or even kill him. He could see close calls flashing before his eyes.
And it was only halfway through his charging that he realized he had no idea where he was running to. Where did he need to go? Where was Proxy at? Vidra was around, right? Even if she were right beside him, in this chaos, he could not tell.
He did not have time to reason, think, or search around for his companions. He was out in the open. He was in danger. And though he was armed, he was very outnumbered.
The best he could think of doing was just... keep... running...

The Morning After PT 2
[X]
Josh sighed shakily and got up from his seat and went over to the sink. He grabbed a glass from one of his cabinet and filled it with water before drinking the whole thing in one go, his hand shaking the whole time. He looked over his shoulder at the door to his bedroom. She hadn’t come out yet. Now he felt guilty for leaving her by herself. He sighed and walked over to the door and contemplated on whether or not he should open it.

Unity, Part 1
The crew of The Unity departed from the asteroid base uneventfully. The Collective drone in possession of Saheeli’s data drive began processing the footage, images, and locations presented to them. Blurry images of a tall, foreboding figure decorated in all black moving about a facility on a heavily vegetated planet. The figure was shown pointing and directing smaller figures, dressed in a similar fashion about the facility. Prisoners were being forced into holding tubes, while more figures in black exited similar chambers. There were text files detailing the exact planet and location on the planet of the facility, and also detailed hypotheses on what the facility was for. The implications were mortifying, but the pieces fit information gathered from other raider attacks and survivor data.
The Collective was not wholly convinced, and brought forth their concern to the crew of the Unity. The metallic voice rang over the ship communication system, “Crew, we have another operation, we need to verify the information given to us by The Syndicate. However, this mission is extremely risky, and could endanger your lives more than any of our previous missions. With that being the case we would present you with the option of voting for your crew to be the one that takes this case. If you choose not to, we will send another nearby crew or automated ship to investigate. But, we are the closest crew to the planet in question and this would expedite our ability to react to the situation. We will give you all dossiers of the details on your personal communication devices, and advise you to look over them before making a decision.”
As it finished speaking the files were transferred to all crew members, showing what The Syndicate believed to be a colonist prison and torture facility.

Welcome!
It’s almost time to start rolling! We’d like to invite you all to read THIS DOCUMENT as an introduction and a primer to the roleplay before we start. We’d also like you to join the Discord server HERE to maintain communication and answer any questions you have. You can talk to the mods there or send questions to this blog, and we’d be happy to help you out, whether this is your first or five-hundredth time roleplaying. Most of us are second-timers and we have a format that we’re comfortable with that works pretty well, and we want to be sure everyone’s clear on that and if we need to make any changes. Our tag will be #abchron, so you’ll want to follow that if you haven’t already.
We have a tentative date to start on May 7th, as stated in the document, but we can move things around if that doesn’t work for most everyone.
@kingofthewilderwest @frosty-viking @lbigreyhound13 @solelyrotbtfd @kiritheblue (know you said you wouldn’t join til later) @justbecauseyoubelievesomething @thepotatoreader @paradise-is-within-you @akkeyroomi @thefuriousnightfury @godguy0001 @anyone else that wants to join! Spread the word, invite friends!
