I just found this blog so I'm jumping aboard the plushie bandwagon.
First we got Absol. (i feel like maybe i should've taken a closer-up picture but it's the face sooo)
Tumblr media
Then a Wooloo
Tumblr media
And, saving best for last, this Leafeon plush I own... of which I swear on my life is official merch.
Tumblr media
I also have some more eeveelutions (plus an eevee and a few more) but: 1. I didn't want to send too many. 2. Eeveelutions are more popular so I wanted to give some other people the chance to submit their own. 3. I don't know where my Pikachu and Snivy plushies are cuz I own too many stuffed animals.
Only reason I submitted Leafeon was so I could show off this ~masterpiece~ of a plushie I own. And it's face isn't the only thing wrong with it too lol. Also I just noticed I accidentally had one of the ears hanging back but I'm too lazy to go take another photo but i hope this amuses you nonetheless.
ALRIGHT THERE'S BEEN A LOT OF YOU AS I'VE BEEN OUT WITH MY FAMILY FOR CHRISTMAS HUH
let's start with these guys. beautiful. wonderful. i do not believe that that leafeon is official merch. this statement is baffling to me. welcome to the front-facing pokémon family. i love the eyes on that absol and wooloo is one of my faves. i was rather obsessed with it when it first came out and have a whole wooloo tag on my main blog because of it. though i guess i cleared that whole thing out recently so i don't anymore
let's get the nose ratings out of the way:
Tumblr media
↑ this is a lie. 10/10 chespin
Tumblr media
it's very wide and also 10/10 you're being too harsh. merry day to you too
Tumblr media
circular face indeed. did i already post this one? if i did you can have it again
Tumblr media
clodsire be upon ye. clodsire fans this is your treat until gen 9
Tumblr media
this is a trend now. i think tumblr just crunched this image to hell for some reason so here's what the text says:
"Felt like joining the others for front facing pokeplushies [images] I have more pokemon but its early morning and these are the plushies that are easy to access"
Tumblr media
i have not but i imagine "a moment" has long passed by now. my apologies but apparently today was an important day or something? idk
Tumblr media
YEAH it's super unbelievably fucked up. i think i kinda remember the circumstance being a bit dire so everyone else was more worried about either 1. protagonist getting stomped on brutally or 2. saving the world from kyurem / the bittercold. i was totally under the impression that he was dead in that moment but i guess the characters may have known that he would just come back? i seem to vaguely remember partner being surprised that he came back and being like "but we watched you die :OOO" but maybe i'm misremembering that. i do create a lot of pmd lore on my own time so i have a hard time telling the difference between canon and fanon sometimes
Tumblr media
two a day makes the world go round! this blog started when i started college, paused for 80% of my college career and now has started back up and i just graduated college a week ago. i would say "how time flies" but it has been a very, very long year
Tumblr media
i've said it before and i'll say it again: gen 6 is my favorite gen, so you'll be seeing lots of favor for this gen from me in the tags i'm sure. maybe gen 6 is my excuse to start doing other things here. like that stream i keep talking about
Tumblr media
if they put meloetta as a little obscure puzzle thang in sv, i'm sure they'll do something for genesect. i hope. at least for keldeo probably. genesect i'm not sure is very popular, unfortunately, outside of the tumblr crowd. if the general public's opinion on genesect is favorable, then maybe
okay and then i tried to scroll down further in my screenshots for more asks and saw the wobbly will smith in a hospital bed Gimme a Hug, Man that i copied from the "i get a little bit genghis kanghis" post so that's it. to everyone who christmases: merry it. it is today. although it's basically over by now so! merry boxing day for tomorrow if i don't say anything tomorrow. but i probably will. now i'm gonna go queue up today's 'mons because i haven't done it yet today. see you all in a few weeks when those post

"Stop being so spiky": Childhood, rejection dysphoria, and people pleasing
There are many things that led me to seek an ADHD diagnosis but rejection dysphoria wasn't one of them. It just wasn't something I related to. That was until I heard a girl on TikTok relating her own experience of rejection dysphoria back to the names her family called her when she was being 'difficult' or emotional in childhood. Then it hit me. Mine was "spiky." Fired at me almost daily as a young teenager, you know, when your self-esteem is probably already at an all-time-low; "spiky" was the most common adjective used to describe my general being. When it's occasionally uttered these days, with the same venom as always, it transports me right back into the tight-chested confusion of that lonely child. The loneliness of a child who was unknowingly trapped in a world that routinely misunderstood her facial expressions or tone of voice, and refused to offer kinder social queues. I saw "spiky" flash across my brother's face today when I requested half the slice of cake that he'd cut for me. Something in my tone or on my face must have been 'off' because he silently took offence and, assuming that he hadn't heard me, I requested it again. Unreasonable, of course, to mistake silence for mishearing. Despite these occasions I realise now that, for the most part, I learned to mask. As many girls do; slipping through their safety net only to realise what's happened once they've already dragged themselves a decade or two through adulthood. It wasn't raging hormones or teenage angst that eventually passed, it was the agony of speaking a language no-one else around me did. So I learnt to speak theirs... Kind of. It might be a stretch to say that this masking has led me to putting up with an embarrassing amount of bullshit from romantic interests, but maybe it's not. When faced with apologies or excuses that my gut knows are lies, my brain jumps aboard the gaslighting train and asks, "are you sure you're not spiky for feeling this way?" Sure, it's not normal to lose your grip on reality the second someone changes their tone or rain-checks some plans. But the oxymoron is that, deep down, you know this. And so you bottle it up, time and time again, until you explode into a fit of rage, paranoia, tears, and accusations- seemingly out of the blue. And just for a dollop of extra irony; even if it was originally all in your head, this merry-go-round-from-hell has a way of manifesting your worst fears. My 28th birthday present was an intensified age crisis, and much of that came from mourning 10 years of time wasted, bullets undodged, feelings unexpressed, and marks clawed into closed fists instead of keyed into the paintwork of a certain BMW... All caused by the inability to trust my own emotions. To decipher whether my reactions (or at least the ways that I want to react) are fair or "spiky". So instead; you people please, you say "ok", you walk away quietly rather than advocating for yourself. Or you just don't let yourself get into those situations at all. It's easier to avoid the head-spinning experience of rejection dysphoria by doing just that... Avoiding. The less people you're attached to, the less there are to reject you. Stay busy, keep moving, never let anyone close enough that you'd care if they left or disliked you anyway. It's genius really. Until it happens by accident. And then you push away a chance to shake the loneliness because you never learnt to identify your own emotions- let alone communicate them. Suddenly it all makes sense; the panic attacks because someone hasn't texted you for a while or nights spent sobbing into your pillow because you felt their energy change. Of course, there are other events that probably contributed to the excruciating catch-22 that is a disorganised attachment style. But uncovering the source of my own rejection dysphoria was the last spiky puzzle piece to understanding why even an iota of feeling misunderstood, ignored, or rejected becomes so utterly devastating and isolating. Who knows if I'll ever stop feeling spiky, but I'm one step closer to trying.

"I've told you before, it's my money. I can do whatever I want with it!"
"But-"
"And no buts! This is my house and if I say we're going out to the fair then that's what we'll do." The young man smiled down at his girlfriend as she pouted up at him in a sulk.
She knew how much he loved this time of year, when all the local businesses would set up stalls around the town square for people to come along and buy their wares from them.
It was like Christmas on steroids, with everything being open until late into the night every day of the week. There were rides, games, food stalls and so many other things to see and do.
“But you know I don't like crowds," she whined. "And there's bound to be lots of drunk people who might try something."
"I promise I won't let anyone take advantage of you while we're here. And besides, everyone knows me. They'd never dare mess with us." He gave her a kiss on the cheek before standing up and pulling her up by the hand. "Come on, let's go."
She sighed as she followed him out of the door and towards the car. He had a point though; he could probably handle any trouble that came his way if it did arise.
Even now, they only needed to look at each other for a few seconds and they both knew exactly what the other one was thinking.
They drove through the town centre and parked up near the edge of the market area.
“We should get some tickets first," he said as they got out of the car. "That way we can ride all the rides without having to wait in line."
"I suppose so," she replied. "But you know I'm not really that fond of rollercoasters or anything too fast."
He laughed as he took her arm and led her over to the entrance gate.
A few moments later, they were inside the grounds and walking amongst the stalls which lined either side of the walkway.
Most of them sold clothes, jewellery and other accessories but there were also plenty of food stands selling hot dogs, chips and candyfloss.
"It looks busy already," he commented as they made their way slowly through the throng of people.
"I think we're going to have to fight our way through. But I think I know a shortcut."
"Oh goodie!" she replied sarcastically. "How exciting! Let's go."
The finally found the ticket booth.
“Two please," he said to the lady behind the counter. "For two adults."
She handed them each a paper ticket as well as a plastic bag containing a pair of wristbands.
He slipped his on and watched as his girlfriend did the same.
Once they'd put their bags back in the boot, he looked around and spotted a small kiosk on the far side of the field.
"Come on," he said excitedly. "Let's go on the merry-go-round."
He grabbed your hand and pulled you along after him as he made his way across the grass.
You could hear the music playing as you walked towards the brightly coloured horses.
When you got to the front you realised there was a queue leading onto the ride itself and several more queues waiting to get on once the previous ones had left.
"I knew i should've bought out the fairground earlier," he muttered.
"Oh hush, it doesn't matter," she whispered sweetly in return. He started pushing the people in front of him aside until he reached the head of the queue.
As soon as his turn arrived, he held your hand tightly as you stepped aboard the ride.
You held on to his waist firmly and gripped tight the metal bars above your head.
Then, the whole thing began moving round and round, faster than you thought possible.
Your boyfriend's hands tightened even further as you squealed with excitement whilst trying desperately not to lose grip of the bar.
After about five minutes of dizzying motion, the ride stopped again and you felt yourself start falling forwards as it slowed right down.
Luckily your boyfriends strong arms kept you from plunging off the seat completely, although they couldn't keep hold of one hand for very long.
“Wheeee!! That was fun," you cried breathlessly. "Let's do another!"
“We should go on one of those little bumper cars next," he suggested with a chuckle. You nodded your agreement eagerly.
They headed towards the exit and went outside where there were dozens upon dozens of these miniature vehicles racing around a large wooden track.
You choose a vehicle and climbed inside. Your boyfriend choose one nearby, hopped in beside you and wrapped his arms around you protectively.
"Hold on baby," he growled softly in your ear.
"Ooohhhhhh!" you screamed in delight as you careered around corners, narrowly missing other cars on numerous occasions.
You bounced up and down against the seat as you spun around, laughing madly, feeling safe in your boyfriends embrace.
Eventually he released his grasp on you suddenly and you fell forward as you tried to grab the steering wheel. The force sent you hurtling off the seat and crashing to the floor, hard enough to knock the wind out of you.
"You alright?" he asked, looking concerned.
"Y-yeah I think so," you stammered between gasps for air.
“I love you," he told you as he leaned down and kissed you tenderly.
After a moment you recovered your senses enough to smile at him and reply.
"I love you too."
A short time later, you were sat back down enjoying yourselves on one of the benches whilst he was feeding you ice cream.
You were giggling like children, holding hands and talking about all the stupid things that happened to you during the day. Eventually, the sun started setting and the crowd started thinning away.
“I know sometimes we argue but it makes me happy to spend time with you," he told you earnestly.
"It does make me happy too," you admitted. "I wouldn't want to change a thing."
"You’re so beautiful," he continued dreamily. "So caring and compassionate too. If you weren't so shy, I could tell you how wonderful you are to me."
You blushed deeply, embarrassed at having been spoken to quite so openly.
But still you felt your heart begin to beat faster as the words sank in deep within your mind. He leant in closer, his voice dropping even lower.
"I've fallen in love with you," he mumbled quietly into your hair. "And I intend to marry you someday."
You froze up instantly and stared wide eyed at him. His face dropped slightly and he cleared his throat awkwardly.
“Well, it’s getting late we better head home," he said with forced jollity. "It's a long drive tomorrow."
You nodded dumbly and allowed him to lead you back towards the car.
Once they were both seated safely inside, he turned towards you with a big grin plastered across his handsome features.
"So..." you murmured uncertainly. "Are you sure...you meant that...?"
His mouth split into a huge grin and he shook his head playfully as he spoke.
"Yes, of course. What kind of idiot do you take me for? Now buckle up, sweetheart, 'cause it's gonna be a bumpy ride!"

Jeanneau Merry Fisher 1095 boat test
Continuing on the popularity of their Merry Fisher motoryachts, Jeanneau has delivered its largest boat in the line with the 32ft Merry Fisher 1095
Tumblr media
Think of 'Merry Fisher' and a 6m outboard engine powered peche promenade wheelbase fishing boat that you'll find tucked into every harbour and inlet in Europe, springs to mind. It's been a hugely successful genre and the good news is that Jeanneau is continuing with it.
In recent years the brand has been stretched, and stretched again. Jeanneau has taken full advantage of the rise in the popularity and power outputs of outboard engines to deliver its largest Merry Fisher yet – the 32ft MF 1095. It looks exactly as you'd expect – a 'stretched limo' version of the smaller boats with the same upright wheelhouse and clamshell roof on black pillars as the rest of the range. From a distance, the only obvious differentiation, aside from the length, is additional hull windows.
Tumblr media
Step aboard via the starboard section of platform that juts out past the twin outboard engines and you'll find a cockpit geared more toward social cruising than fishing. It's clear that despite the name, Jeanneau has aimed this boat firmly at its cruising, rather than angling, clientele. So you have fixed seating across the stern and up the port side, with a short third leg in front of the fixed portion of the sliding wheelhouse door. The starboard side is kept clear, easing access to the transom door and forward to the wider of the asymmetric side decks. Cunningly, the aft seat is on tracks so that in normal use it is pushed right back against the outboard engines, maximising space. Should you wish to tilt the outboards clear of the water, the seat slides forward creating a gap for the engine powerheads to swing into.
Tumblr media
The deck saloon itself has some neat touches. Two double seats face each other across a dining table on the port side, but the forward (aft facing) seat cantilevers to create forward facing seating underway. The starboard side is mostly galley behind the single helm seat, the helmsman gaining a side door which not only offers immediate access to the side deck but also gives a sense of connection to the water rushing by, and of course masses of light and ventilation, augmented by two glass hatches.
In theory, Jeanneau presents this boat with either a two or three-cabin layout. In practice, the layout stays the same. So you get a master cabin forward, its centreline island double a nice touch in a sub mid-30ft boat. You also get a single generous heads with a shower stall. But you pay for both these things with a second cabin that is pretty much just a small double bed running back beneath the dinette, hemmed in on both sides by the cabin walls. The third cabin is smaller still – Jeanneau describes it as a double berth, but it's certainly extremely cosy.
Tumblr media
So what of that alternative two-cabin layout? Well, it's exactly the same, only there is no bed in the third cabin, it's a storage area instead. Personally I'd opt for three cabins regardless and simply store things on the bed, at least then you have it should you need it. In fact, if you're a real glutton for punishment, as well as sleeping six on the lower deck, the dinette converts into another double, but be prepared to queue for the facilities in the morning…
Those two 350hp Yamahas suggest serious potency, but you need to remember that this 32-footer weighs almost five tonnes without engines. Add the two 4.2 litre V6 Yamahas at a quarter of a tonne each in the worst possible place right at the back of the boat, and it's not quite the rocket ship you might have hoped for. But recalibrate your expectations and the performance is entirely sufficient, with a 37-knot top end giving genuine 30-knot cruising ability.
More impressive is what's going on at the bottom end of the planing speed range, because, despite that half tonne hanging off the transom, the Merry Fisher 1095 lifts onto the plane at surprisingly low speed, runs remarkably level and doesn't need a fistful of throttle to get it there. Handling is a similar story. No, you can't throw it into turns like a race boat and yes, if you push it hard, you can induce cavitation in the outer propeller as it lifts as the boat banks. But why would you want to?
As ever, Jeanneau has the fundamental hull dynamics spot on. As a boat to cruise with, it's excellent, and when you reach your destination that practical layout works well. If you want to get your hands on the last word in speed and dynamics, then you'll need to look elsewhere (in fact, look at Jeanneau's new Cap Camarat 9.0 – that's a serious driver's machine) because what this boat does is simply uphold those practical, sensible values that put its smaller siblings into almost every harbour and inlet in Europe in the first place.

New Star Wars Lands to Blast Off at Disneyland and Disney World
01of 09
Disney Parks’ Creative Force Awakens
•••
February 2016 update: Disney presented a Disneyland 60th anniversary celebration TV special on ABC (the network that is part of its vast media empire) and included a segment about the Star Wars lands hosted by none other than Harrison Ford. The special didn’t reveal too much that hadn’t already been divulged. Although Disney is still referring to the projects as “Star Wars-themed lands,” Han Solo, er Mr. Ford, called them “The Star Wars Experience.” That may or may not be the official name.
Previously written in 2015: After many months of vague promises from company honchos and speculation by rabid fans, Disney CEO Bob Iger finally made it official: Star Wars rides are on the way.
Speaking at the 2015 D23 Expo, Mickey’s boss said that Star Wars-themed lands — and yes, that’s “lands” with an “s,” as in more than one — will be built at both the original Disneyland Park and at Disney’s Hollywood Studios , part of Walt Disney World in Florida. Big Thunder Ranch and nearby areas will be used at Disneyland. It’s unclear exactly where the land will be located at Disney World, although it would make sense to place it near the existing Star Tours ride.
Each of the lands will span 14 acres, which is enormous for theme parks. As to the level of detail and immersion, Iger assured the D23 crowd that his merry band of Imagineers would build “jaw-dropping new worlds.” Just look at Disney’s lush rendering at the top of the page to get a sense of what’s coming.
When, you surely want to know, will all of this galactic goodness be good to go? Opening dates and nearly all other details about the Star Wars park projects are still unknown. Iger and others at the D23 Expo kept emphasizing that such a massive undertaking would take time to develop and build. Reportedly, construction will begin in 2017. I wouldn’t anticipate that anything would open much before 2020, so you’ll have to hang tight for awhile.
Pilot the Millennium Falcon
So, what details were revealed? Rather than re-create an existing world from the Star Wars canon, the lands will represent an entirely new world. According to Bob Chapek, chairman, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, guests will enter a “gateway planet on the outer rim.” The way station, which Chapek also referred to as a “remote frontier town,” will include established characters as well as new ones.
There will be two major attractions, both of which sound like they will be media-based rides. One will invite rookie pilots to fly a mission aboard the Millennium Falcon, Han Solo’s “bucket of bolts” from the original trilogy. With talk about “customized adventures,” it appears that this could be some sort of an interactive ride with many variables.
The other announced attraction will place visitors in the middle of a battle between the First Order and the Resistance. If that doesn’t sound familiar, it’s because the story will focus on the new movie, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which will open in December 2015.
Care for Some Blue Milk?
In addition to the blockbuster rides, expect the Star Wars lands to be encompassing and rich environments that will be feasts for the senses. At D23, Scott Trowbridge, portfolio creative executive and the Imagineer tapped to lead the Star Wars projects, hinted at what’s to come.
“Who ever wondered what Bantha fodder smelled like?” he teased. (The foul-smelling food is used as a pejorative term in the Star Wars universe.) Trowbridge also indicated that guests might be able to taste blue milk, a yummy treat. I don’t know whether either of the items will be available for actual consumption, but there will be a Cantina restaurant with themed dishes.
That kind of multi-sensory focus and attention to detail is indicative of the extreme level of themeing that the major park operators are now incorporating into their lands. Disney may have pioneered the concept of the theme park, but arch-rival Universal took themeing to new levels with the impeccable Wizarding World of Harry Potter Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade lands at its Orlando resort. Harry will head west into Disneyland’s playground when Universal Studios Hollywood opens its Potter land in 2016.
Disney responded with its over-the-top, single-intellectual-property project, Cars Land at Disney California Adventure. The new Star Wars lands will continue the high-stakes brinkmanship. Iger said that the intergalactic outpost will be filled with humanoids, aliens, and droids and that the shops and eateries will be “run by local inhabitants. Nothing will be out of character.”
Nothing but Star Wars
All of the devotion to detail and wild-soudning attractions are enough to make a droid blow a gasket in anticipation. Star Wars and theme park fans may also melt down before the Force awakens on the as-yet-unannounced opening date in some year far, far away. Have no fear droids and fans. Disney’s got you covered.
To capitalize on the synergy from the new film’s Christmas 2015 release (and steal some thunder from Universal’s upcoming Potter and King Kong attractions to boot), Star Wars mania began in earnest in 2015. In fact, park guests may be belting out a hearty rendition of “Nothing but Star Wars” with all that’s now open and on the way. Here’s a rundown of what to expect in the months and years leading up to the completion of the new lands:
Star Wars Launch Bay – Visitors can now meet characters, buy some special merch (of course), chow down on some themed treats, and ogle artifacts related to the new film at a popup exhibit. At Disneyland, the Launch Bay joins forces with the Marvel-themed Super Hero HQ in Tomorrowland. The Animation Courtyard serves as the location at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Star Tours – The Adventures Continue – The original Star Wars-themed attraction got a reboot in late 2015 with new stories culled from the movie trilogy. Speaking of Star Tours, what will become of the simulator attractions? Since Disneyland’s new Star Wars project will be built away from Tomorrowland, the imperative to maintain continuity dictates that Star Tours should close. Perhaps Disney will move it to the new land and repurpose the existing attraction (maybe turn it into the Iron Man Experience, which is on tap at Shanghai Disneyland?). At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the new land will likely be built adjacent to Star Tours and will be able to encompass the ride.
Jedi Training Academy – At both parks, the popular experience has introduced new characters based on the animated TV show, “Star Wars Rebels.”
Season of the Force – Based on Disney World’s successful Star Wars Weekends, both parks are hosting new limited-time seasonal events.
Hyperspace Mountain – As part of Season of the Force, Disneyland now features a Star Wars-themed overlay to Space Mountain.
Star Wars Fireworks – Starting in spring 2016, Disney’s Hollywood Studios will cap its evenings with a themed pyrotechnics show.

Based on the renderings, the 14-acre lands will include vast amounts of rockwork and other architectural flourishes. That’s the Millennium Falcon in the foreground. The iconic starship will be featured in one of the lands’ two major attractions.
Disney has not revealed any costs. But the ambitious, elaborate-looking and -sounding Star Wars project will surely cost in the hundreds of millions dollars — and possibly in the billion-dollar range. That’s for each land. That’s a lot of Galactic Credits.
Next up: Bustling Frontier Town

Don’t look now, but isn’t that C3PO and R2D2 chatting with a certain princess? When they open, the lands will include alien creatures, humanoids, and other assorted Star Wars characters. Expect pervasive themeing throughout the new areas.

Disney CEO Bob Iger announced the new Star War lands at the 2015 D23 Expo. He and his team also made a bunch of other park announcements at the event, including:
New Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios – A Slinky Dog coaster, alien saucers ride, and an expanded Toy Story Mania! are coming.
Pandora – The World of Avatar – More info was released about the new land coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Soarin’ Around the World – Instead of sticking with California, the fabulous Soarin’ ride will take off to locations far and wide starting in 2016.
