fanfiction is so embarrassing bc sometimes you’ll read the description of a fic and just know it ticks the box of one of your *things* (whether that’s a kink or, like, an Issue™️) and you’ll be like “haha man that’s so weird that someone wrote this” and then you read it and just 👀 as you realize how much you relate to it and how much it speaks to you and that’s why fanfic is so important actually

#this isn’t even about like a kink. or anything lmao at least not the one im reading now #tw emetophobia #but like there’s a fic about [redacted] character im obsessed with and his gag reflex #like that’s it that’s the whole fic #and as someone with a fucked up gag reflex but also a former bulimic #idk this topic should be so weird but im just. idk it’s a really well written character study #about one of my favorite characters but using this weird innocuous body function that I also relate to #idk it’s like something something the unifying experience of being human???#humans connected by the things that isolate us???#i also realize more and more how much I relate to this character l #in all ways except the fact that all his issues stem from hiding the fact that he is gay #while mine come from trying to hide the fact that I am Defective #but I guess we’re both defective in our own eyes #and have adhd lmao #and try to hide behind being the funny friend #but we’re just so so scared #and at least in this fic. gag reflexes.#what is any of this even saying #ten points to whoever guesses who tf this character is #hint it’s not hard
