💙💙💙 @jairozaldua I met a man who wasn’t there - screen print. . One of two images of ours that will be exhibited as part of @eastlondonprintmakers festival of print 2021. "Circulus Parvum 1" (unique screen print) by @easterlyartists member @#cut_editions Ni Gooding - just one of the pieces currently on display in our new exhibition "Art For All Seasons". For the past two and a half years, Ni has been experimenting with using torn and cut paper stencils to make bold, simplified, non-figurative and often colourful prints. Some are “hard edge colour field” images, some use transparent overprinting techniques and some use colour gradations to create complex images. On with the show! @easterlyartists member @#cut_editions Ni Gooding took part in the recent @easterlyartists "Art Now!" exhibition - this is one one the pieces he showed to a packed marquee: "Circulus Parvum 4" (unique screen print). Ni's work derives from the Modernist tradition, where the emphasis is on flatness and the decorative qualities of colour, line, texture and composition. He comments: "I work in an intuitive, direct and expressive manner, using bold, simplified forms and motifs.
