We have so many farms & artisan producers on our island, it’s about time we built the perfect spot for them to sell their goods. So I built Shadowmoss a quaint downtown district. 

There's a spot for the Able Sisters Tailor Shop, boutique shopping, as well as Antonio’s farm-to-table restaurant with waterfront dining. On the beach in front of our small town main street we have a little farmers market for our villagers to sell their local products.

Weekly Summary: Leander has taken the first steps towards becoming a part of the Pelican Town community! Having heard rumors of Shane’s chicken husbandry skills, our farmer is attempting to befriend possibly the only person in town to actively avoid having friends. Very rude; we just want to talk about chickens!

Leander has found solace in fishing. He prefers fishing at the dock in front of Willy’s shop, but will sometimes move to one of the small islands of the mountain lake. The Fiberglass Rod was a much needed purchase. The mines do instill a growing need for adventure, however…

Having met with the Wizard and “partaken” of his brew, Leander’s magics have begun to reawaken; enough that the Fae saw it within their good graces to bless our first crops. A fruitful first week back at Aurora Fields.

A little bit about my ACNH Gameplay/Posts

The first time I played Animal Crossing was New Horizons in 2020.

My younger sibling gave me their Switch Lite when they upgraded to a Switch.

My island is called Praxis.

It is set up organically with what I thought a radical commune of villagers with different backgrounds would create on their own island.

We have one side of the island set up with campsites for visitors.

The other side is for the townies, and all but the Four Corners villagers live in a row up the East beach, including my rep's house.

There's a bamboo garden, farming area, cemetery, trash/recycling/repair area, orchard, hangout spot in the deep woods, restaurant, gym, market, laundromat, bar & arcade, and the burned-out remnants of a jail.

I don't have a DA not because my island isn't finished (it's full!) but because the content might not be acceptable for general audiences.

My museum is 100%.

I started this profile to not only keep a visual record of what I have created in ACNH but to share those creations in the hope that someone else will get enjoyment or inspiration from them.

All my loans are paid back, and my storage is maxed.

I have the HHP dlc, and I'm a GOAT Designer.

All my villagers' homes are redecorated.

My Tumblr is relatively new, but I've been posting my old ACNH content from whenever I got my SD card.

I spent 2,735 hours of my life playing ACNH. (so far!)

The current posts on my profile are from April 2022, and I have everything between then & now still to post.

I create a queue every Friday of 3 posts a day for a full week.

My spouse recently got me a full Switch because my Lite is almost unplayable where my joysticks are thrashed, and I almost couldn't hit the same button 3 times in a row to start the game the other day.

Sometime in the near future, I will be starting a new island on my new switch and sending in my old one for repair.

more progress! I have now expanded the house; exterior design, as well as the unseen extra rooms in the main area there which’re the bedroom in the back, the reading/office room on the left, the bathroom on the right, and the upstairs which I WANT to make a library but right now is mostly filled with random furniture LOL I’ve also moved the house and done some terraforming, in that I have a little main road there with the shops with my orchard in the back, a decorated campsite, and a little neighbourhood of my villager houses! I still have a long way to go though LOL

I gotta build the gym and potential park, as well as fully finish the little reading nook I tried to make - all in a days work! but I’m excited for halloween and already got my halloween decorations from nook’s cranny as you can see, and am looking forward to when the actual day comes.

we also got a new villager! I still have yet to get my 10th, but then cleo (who was fine, but just in terms of my own villagers, my least liked) voiced a desire to move, and I thought it might be interesting to see who else we could get. I wanted another normal, as they’re usually very sweet and pretty easy - and it only took my second mystery nook ticket to find norma! she’s a pretty pink cow and is so cute, so that was a good choice.

but mostly the big thing, is that I finally caved and bought happy home paradise - and that’s where most of my acnh time has sunk LOL I won’t bore you with the details, so I’ll just put some of my favourite designs/clients underneath the cut-off. I’m really looking forward to finally being able to re-make my own villagers homes - especially those who have fuck all in their houses, they’re definitely in need of a makeover! LOL

more to update, once I finally get started on my own island again LOL

to start off, of course, the obligatory first house that I did, which was for olivia - unsurprisingly bad, but for a first timer I’m still glad of the work I did LOL

roscoe! roscoe I really loved, the second I saw him on the beach and all alarms blared going “emo horse!!!!!!!!” LOL he was actually the first one I looked up to see their colour palate and their interests to decorate the house. I don’t actually have any cranky types on my island, and I always said I didn’t want one, but I think if I get some ambiio cards and I land him, he’s definitely coming over X)

my second favourite client probably, dizzy! he was just so cute and adorable, impossible not to love. he wanted a playroom, and I actually think I did I good job on that (though you can’t really see the toy section from this angle but this was the best photo LOL). he’s another I want to get if I get his ambiio card.

here’s huck! this one I like especially, bc his theme was that he wanted a room to have adventures. I have a habit when home building to just, like, put things in corners (the bed, t.v & couch, kitchen or bathroom, etc) to make sections and I end up doing that with a lot of the homes, but with this one instead I thought to mix it up. I put in a little cave, and then built around it with a sleeping bag and campfire and whatnot to make it seem like he was a travelling adventurer, taking shelter there for the night. I think it turned out nice!

my most recent! sterling said he wanted a ‘sci-fi’ theme, which I immediately jumped on - and had so much fun doing. I built him a little base control in the centre, then, as if he was on a travelling ship like the enterprise, a bunk-bed, a rec corner with a tv and couch, and a kitchen full of stocked food cans and synthetic meals LOL

here’re some yards I’m pretty proud of - the insides meh, but I liked how the outsides turned out, of both melba who wanted a ‘fairytale’ theme and tipper who wanted a farm, respectively

and here’s just some rooms I think turned out nice or a just enjoyed LOL

this is just a fun one, from when I got assigned the restaurant make-over; during the clip show you get to see after, there was a moment where curt just stopped here and fully stared at me for a good few full seconds - I think he’s pissed I didn’t leave him any counter space LOL

first things first i'm so fucking tired of chronic illnesses and disabilities getting worse and being like "bitch you live in a valley filled with farms and shit you're allergic to? Time To Suffer. oh your favorite weather, cloudy and rainy, is now here? fuck you, time to Suffer bc of the change in barometric pressure. here, have sinus problems, wooziness, dizziness, and incredibly bad and totally random bouts of MOTION-SICK NAUSEA FOR NO REASON."

so i did all of today while fighting all of that^^ bullshit (it wasn't quite as bad as it has been, i guess)

INCREDIBLE life progress today, folks.

i left the house for the first time since july (and i barely count that bc i went to a hotel while they were supposed to be fixing our house but instead fucked around for two weeks, and then i dogsat for a few days before coming back home)

i wore REAL CLOTHES for the first time since july as well. oh i guess i wore jeans and a bra on sunday.

we went to a STORE!

it was packed and i didn't cry :)

we purchased LOCAL RAW MILK CHEESES! AND ALSO MANCHEGO THAT'S REAL AND ACTUALLY FROM LA MANCHA! and also some crackers and salami n stuff to go w it. Tasty.

we then drove to an incredibly crowded beach to see if it would clear out and i didn't cry :) (it didn't clear out in time; irritatingly, if we had just waited 1 hr for the store, it would've been way emptier)

then we went driving in pretty places. parked a couple times. took a nice drive home.

we saw a guy on a dirtbike do an INCREDIBLY long and FAST wheelie

and then speed through a section of road so fast that we literally lost him within 15 seconds.

i cleaned the groceries, put em away, then we brought em back out to try the cheeses and snacks

i also put all the dishes away

we got papa murphy's and then remembered that we're both forgetful af and the massive glob of cherry pie filling at the bottom of the oven was STILL THERE

so i scraped it up and scooped it out so we could have dinner

and now, the REAL update

i've made so much progress on my acnh island :) which as a reminder is my first ever one that i started back in march 2020, and on which i still have my two starter villagers, katt and roald. and also vivian, goldia, maple, and poppy who are all from 2020, as well.

the entire island is almost completely done.

all that remains? the beaches at the front of the island (where visitors can "rent" cars, bikes, scooters, and boats), the transition area between the road and the beach in the northeast corner, and the hiking/camping area in the southwest corner (which i have started working on and it looks so cute).

literally everything else is done.

so i started working on redecorating the inside of my house :)

i had redone my bedroom already like AGES ago and it's perfect and purple (i also relocated it from the back room to the upstairs)

but my main room has been a chaotic mess for YEARS at this point

so i redid it to be deserty/look southwestern in style bc i made the cliff area outside of my house into a little desert oasis :) they literally gave us saguaro cactuses in the update how am i supposed to NOT incorporate them somehow???

and i started laying the groundwork for redoing the kitchen, for a mystical magic room in the back, and redoing the bathroom, as well.

i MIGHT redo the basement, but it looks p good for me having done it literally in like 2020. it's decorated like a really nice and cozy spare bedroom and study/library.

and so i am very happy with all of this. it looks incredible. and my villagers are so fucking cute and lovely (katt, roald, vivian, goldie, maple, poppy, maddie, dobie, shep, punchy).

and i really want to finish so i can update my DA and then submit it to an acnh streamer/youtuber so they can do a tour and compliment me bc i'm really proud of it. it's dopey as fuck but like--FINALLY i have a cool and commendable island. i did it for ME, but now i'm so happy w it that i'm like actually i really want to show ppl this, i love it so much

i've also redecorated the inside of every villager's house--except for shep, bc quite frankly, his original game house is actually kind of fucking amazing and perfect as is? i really love it. i wouldn't change much. i might wanna give him somewhere to sit, though. lol

but yeah i've just done a LOT and i'm really happy with it. after SO MANY TIMES flattening the island and starting over, i actually really like it now.

i made it into a town. every villager has their little business/attraction. i treat this as a little tourist-y place where ppl come to visit [steadfastly ignores irl tourism problems bc really this entire game is built off of harvesting resources and building in wilderness so like y'know]. and the roads and sidewalks and plants and all the decorations and the places they can visit--it's all just very cute.

and i'm doing my best to use all of the furniture items i've wanted to use, and all of the build ideas i've had for ages.

my favorite thing is that ages ago i decided to have a shakespeare in the park outdoor theater area--and i've just moved it around two or three times, and now i have it in the back in this little sunken area between maple's bookstore and goldie's bakery. and it still looks cool as fuck.

like i want to draw up a map/guide for the island or commission someone to do that for me (lol i have no money and i wouldn't know who to go with lol) bc i just am really happy with it. ☺️

anyway that's my life. ....:))))))

godfuckingdamnit i just realized that there's a spot on my island that breaks immersion. there's a drive-in movie theater but there's literally no way for the cars to have driven there. fuck me.

i've been working on this for MONTHS now, it took me forever, i'm not changing it, and it didn't occur to me until just now so hopefully no one else fucking notices 🙃🙃🙃

......fuck, no, i COULD fix it, possible. it would be kind of ridiculous and a huge pain in the ass bc i just spent forever filling those areas with flora and butterfly models......but i could do it.

This build is for all us plant lovers who can’t keep irl plants alive, so instead we live out our green thumb fantasies in Animal Crossing New Horizons. In this build I created the best homestead using the new 2.0 crops. This rural farm includes: vegetable bed islands for easy watering, a duck pond because they’re superior to chickens, a beach berry patch to utilize as much space as possible, and a run down yet cozy farmhouse for our new farmer villager, Dobie. 

My real life garden could never (all my plants struggle hard to survive)... but at least my virtual farm is flourishing. That counts for something, right?
