Tall kneel kettle bell get ups are an excellent total body exercise, targeting our quads, glutes, shoulders, grip strength, and core. This exercise will also work on hip mobility and shoulder stability making it a great functional exercise. All sports involving raising our hands above our head, (yes that's you too surfers) can place a lot of stress on your rotator cuffs. Our curriculums are designed to address proper usage and development of these muscles. Pictured is a banded RTC flexion exercise. While performing this keep your elbow directly across from your shoulder with your arm bent at 90 degrees. Rotate your hand down towards the ground while maintaining the 90 degree bend in your arm. Make sure you're rotating off of your bicep and not bringing your elbow back behind you or towards the ground. 1/2 Kneel Kettle Bell Chop. The half kneel position is a regression of a split stance. We start all of our athletes in this position. If they can prove to us that their core is stable with a shortened lever (knee) then we progress them to a long lever (foot) standing split stance.
