Okay, this shit has gone way too far

Well I've decided to adress these claims

TW: mentions of harrasment, mentions of the Palestinian genocide, slurs and ableist language

Unfortunately, these are all lies

Angry doesn't even begin to describe how I'm feeling rn

Not only are these people spreading lies and misinformation, they are also setting me and these people up for harassment (some of the blogs mentioned are run by literal MINORS). Not to mention that sone of these blogs (including mine) have NEVER interacted with Nirmal before.

Also it's so funny that Nirmal claims that SHE'S the one being harassed when she's out ther calling people literal SLURS (last time I checked, she called Senja an "r-slured cunt who assumes things'').

On top of this, she spreads misinformation about asks from Palestinians, claiming they're "scams". First of all, how does she even know that they're scams? Second of all, why would Palestinians send these asks just to scam people. I highly doubt victims of the ongoing genocide would beg for money just for ✨funsies✨. Not to mention her overall shitty behaviour.

So there. I really do not appreciate lies being spread about me and my friends. I genuinely hope people see the truth.

having now finished druck s8, I’m incredibly saddened at how this season has gone, considering it’s the end of the second generation, and it’s unlikely that we will see any of these characters again. after 10 weeks, mailin is still a cipher—she had no internal struggles; her flaws were left unaddressed from previous seasons. there was no growth. overall, this season felt incredibly pointed towards silencing BIPOC members of this cast—particularly ish, which isn’t surprising given her comments. every episode, repeatedly, had ava and fatou either comforting or praising mailin for her “feminism,” her “girlbossing,” when it’s clear in seasons produced by q3/jünglinge that ava, in particular, would not say these things. for a season where finn was the LI, we learned nothing more about him or his family, besides that they run a furniture business impacted by the pandemic. yara was given a romance plotline with zoe, but that was entirely offscreen until the last two episodes. kieu my was only allowed to criticize the action mailin and zoe engaged with once, and it was apparently because nhungi and the others intervened on set. season 8 was also a season pointed towards conservatism—nora upheld purity culture in her final clip before departing for three weeks, and essentially shamed mailin, one of her best friends, for taking pictures of herself. in one of their fights, finn also did the same to mailin. zoe and mailin’s activist action with the destroying of books was essentially a parody of Teenage Activism™️, while in earlier seasons, activism was treated as something worthwhile, something important to engage with and discuss.

but the thing is, it just wasn’t season 8 of druck. season 7 had much of the same issues. the instas and sascha were static. the season, while hinting at the ideas of toxic friendship, did not touch on that internal struggle within isi from season 6, choosing to instead show the topic of gender dysphoria. while this topic is incredibly important, the new writers and SM team did not remember how isi was the one who introduced kieu my to the LGBTQ+ community, queer terms and language, and how she already was following drag queens and non-binary people on IG, and would have had some inkling into what was happening with themselves. the writers chose an easy route instead of building on the nuances already in the character. lou’s actions from s7 with the tampons could also be seen as a parody of true activism, and she also may have been a character created to fight back against the “isi is fatphobic!” allegations—but he was. that four minute clip in which he apologizes to ava for the bullying, and then it is never addressed again confirms it. the LGBTQ+ youth group & david could have been incredibly important for isi, but they were only shown in two clips; same with the turkish community, where they made a nameless neighbor into a bigot and homophobic and transphobic, rather than addressing the issues where consti essentially assaulted isi and made terrible comments towards her head-on. sascha, much like finn, didn’t have a personality beyond plant boy and LI either, and isi treated him like shit in his shoe until a bogus apology in ep 9. screentime was taken from BIPOC members of the cast and given largely to two white newcomers. eren had to fight for the pronoun scene, but also mentioned the efforts of the team/castmates to help them in that fight.

it’s sad to see the parallels between s5/s6 and how s7/s8 turned out. this last clip really showed me how much this cast had to fight tooth and nail to try and protect these characters who they loved. the cashqueens memory scenes consisted of s5/s6 references; as did the montage in between the cast speaking, again primarily about the early generation 2 seasons. overall, i wish the cast the best, i wish jünglinge & q3 the best. their talent is stunning, and i can’t wait to see what they do next. thank you, mina, sira, eren, frida, ish, zethphan, nhungi, madeleine, elena, anh, casper, paul, and paula. thank you for these characters. they will always have a place in my heart, even if the writing doesn’t. rant over!!

Okay this is gonna be long as FUCK so get comfy & prepare for pain

Real quick TW / CW for a car crash, implied/presumed death, and implied low self-esteem

Kay so! It starts with Charles & Burt and their parents getting into a car crash yes this is where we’re starting. It’s safe to assume their parents are very dead. The boys escape the car, get themselves as patched up as they could, and venture off into the sunset - said sunset being over a big city or something

So the bros wander around for a month or two, since,,, yknow, and are eventually picked up by Galeforce and some of his military buddies. They found them on the streets and now Galeforce is their dad.

Luckily, Burt & Charles get a normal next 7 years of life because Galeforce is doing his damn best to give these two a good rest of their childhood. They go to school and befriend the Bukowski twins also Konrad probably had a crush on Burt maybe he still does we don’t know no ones asked, and things are going relatively well for our headphone bros

Charles wants to be a helicopter pilot and help his dad on the front lines, but Burt isn’t as fond of the idea of fighting - and the high likelihood of dying it brings. And besides, he’s almost an adult by this point in the backstory; it’s about time he move out on his own, right?

So Burt gets himself a job and preps to move out to The Big City™️. Goodol heartfelt goodbye, a promise to call when he gets there, and Charles chasing the bus as it leaves. Not long after arriving at his stop, Burt is swiftly abducted by the Toppats for being an alleged witness to a robbery.

And spends the next 3 years in the brig.

At some point prolly some time when Burt might’ve allegedly died Sven shows up, having recently discovered there’s someone in the brig because someone didn’t want anyone to know there was a prisoner. So Sven helps Burt outta his cell and asks him dads if they could help Burt not die / give him a job.

So they stick him with the rest of the communications division and put him to work. Burt even wound up climbing up pretty far and becoming the damn liaison. The elites treat him pretty well now, but some still have a tendency to address him as ‘convict’ and things along those lines. And that’s how Burt became a toppat :]

I’ve talked about Charles’ high school years before no one gave a shit but I talked about it, but as a quick summary; Charles is kinda shy, then he befriends Rupert, and then he becomes a chaos goblin :)

Anyways, Charles finishes high school, enters flight school, graduates top of his class and joins the military with his dad. All this time, still waiting for Burt’s phone call. He waited, and waited, and… waited.

Everyone thought Burt was dead because it had been discovered a Toppat raid happened in the area and his bus stopped and… they assumed the worst.

But Charles didn’t. He had a gut feeling that Burt was still out there somewhere. Ignoring his calls. He never really understood why Burt hadn’t called, though. Was it something he did? Charles wasn’t really sure, but in the end he’d managed to convince himself Burt hated him for some reason. That clearly wasn’t the reason, but he couldn’t’ve known that this eventually led to Charles’ social anxiety & depression. This technically leads us to present day with the collection, specifically CtM. In a handful of endings, Burt & Charles simply never see each other again. But in most, they’re… not on good terms. Like at all.

It’s likely that, at some point, they found each other on the battle field. Instead of a nice heartfelt teary reunion,,, shit goes down.

Charles is confused and hurt by the fact that his own brother chose to side with the government sworn enemies, with those criminal scum. That’s all Charles saw in that moment; just another Toppat scum that needed to be put to justice.

And Burt is confused, but at the same time happy to see his little brother… until Charles starts getting angry. Burt tried to explain, he really did… but Charles wasn’t having any of it. They split from that encounter very upset.

Burt definitely didn’t take any of this well. he didn’t choose to become a Toppat. And sure he’s met some good people in the Clan, but he missed home this entire time. Now he’s constantly upset/distressed and even more bottled up than he was before. He was gonna call when he got there. He promised, and he doesn’t think the kind of person who breaks promises. He still beats himself up over something he couldn’t control

And Charles,,, doesn’t really know how to deal with everything happening. Everyone thought Burt was fucking dead, and then 13 years later he just shows up, working for the enemy. No one still in the military who knew him took this well, especially our Bold Action Man. He’s convinced Burt is a traitor, and resents him because of this. But deep down, Charles just wants is his brother back. Sometimes still wonders what he did to make Burt want to betray everyone.

In summary; Charles hates himself, Burt is in a constant state of despair and the Calvin/Galeforce family needs to go see a coddam therapist xthcufthbgyy
