results of the poll are in and we have a winner ! as such, have a compilation of highlights from the winning comic run ' bucky barnes: the winter soldier (2014 - 2015) ' by marco rudy and ales kot.
#with a line line 'bucky this is a very dumb idea' how could it not win ??#admittedly in my youth (which was 8 years ago) i didn't care much for this comic#but in new found appreciation for storytelling and art-telling i've come to realise#that this run is severely underrated and addresses quite a few bucky-core themes#his seemingly eternal search for purpose#often barking up the wrong tree for it#the delusion that it can't be anything BUT a war or a fight or a sacrifice of himself and/or his future#the glimmer of hope that if old man bucky eventually turned his sights for peace#then our bucky can too#and the MONUMENTAL role love plays in that transition#also daisy mother fucking johnson#bucky barnes: the winter soldier#bb: tws#marco rudy#ales kot#bucky barnes#old man bucky#daisy johnson#sacred reznor
