Self portrait with an Adox Sport Camera using Ilford 3200 and the amazing Haka Autoknips II from the 1930s (linked below).

The camera is from W. Germany from the 1950s, the self timer was a model made, starting in the Weimar republic, my particular model dates around 1939. It's basically a small spring loaded "clock" thing, that triggers a mechanism you can hook into a cable release. The neat part is that you can also use it with the bulb setting of a camera, setting longer exposures between ½ and 10 seconds. I once used it with my AK 8 film camera to get a 10s shot of a friend and me during a winter hike in the snow.

Also: The Adox Sport was my first film camera, but I replaced it with a Lubitel 2, because I'm terrible at guessing distances. Still, I enjoy the Adox Sport. It's an easy to understand and cleverly designed camera. It even gives you the option to chose between two image sizes, that being 6×9 or 4½×6 cm, the latter one being more economical, because it allows you to fit 16 images on a roll of medium format film.
