PUKE “Give a TED talk” as a life goal? Brands are perpetuating superficial “dreams” that rely on external validation. I get at least one email a week of people asking me how I got a talk on the Ted side. My canned answer: I have never aimed to give “talks” or be a speaker just for the sake of it, esp with the Ted brand - my goals are to solve meaningful problems and do interesting shit. I learned that giving talks was one way to raise awareness for the problems I care about. #adreamaday @thisisaday

365 Story Challenge

I've long noticed that I've been neglecting this blog, and I think the real reason for that is because I started it with only a vague idea of how I'd be utilizing it. Weak motives soon disintegrated until there was little to do anymore here.

Well, I'm not going to let copyists join the ghost town of abandoned blogs, especially when it symbolizes for me a very raw need to write. I lately came across this wonderful blog and it was just the ideal inspiration. The author of the blog, John, completed a 365 story challenge on Tumblr, and reading his passages, I became enchanted. I'd like to start like that, here, and starting today. That's why I'm back (hopefully for good this time) and I've transformed my blog for the occasion. 

Thank you all for still sticking around; I hope that you will still enjoy this blog with its shifted purpose.
