originally born to delfiyon, adria came to the rig at a young age after being orphaned by war. she was set to be raised by her clan and eventually die at war herself. she heard of the rig through a friend of a friend of luna’s; he was alike to lincoln spreading the word about a peaceful rig away from all the violence. he became temporarily close to adria, talking her through the deaths of her parents and eventually brought her all the way to luna’s rig. from there he left her and she hasn’t seen him since but luna assures her he’s okay.

not knowing anyone on the rig and being away from her clan and people for the first time adria clung to the clan leader. overtime adria unintentionally took the place of luna’s second; however instead of training her to fight and preparing her for war luna taught her to fish and provide along with many life lessons. luna had always thought adria would eventually take over as clan leader but pramfaya took her too soon.

adria , the sweetest little girl you’ll ever know.   soft , happy and loves to collect seashells when she is allowed to go ashore or on the islands surrounding the rig.   only a troublemaker when it comes to bedtime fhsdjf.

shay , best storyteller on the rig and has a million and one stories for her leg and how it became damaged   ( her favourite is she fought off a shark with her bare hands. )   really close to a lot of the people on the rig , and a de - facto diplomat when she accompanies the divers ashore.

tasi , completely feral sea child.   seen a lot of war and still struggles with adjusting to floukru’s peace as law environment.   one of the best divers and enjoys being in the sea more than being on land or on the rig.

Luna kom Floukru

So out of every character on The 100, I identify with Luna most. She's someone who was put into certain circumstances just because of a factor of her birth she couldn't control (being a night blood). When she tried to change it, she dealt with her trauma and found a new family. She was able to forgive herself finally. And after she finally found peace it was ripped from her with Spacekru coming in and trying to get her to take the flame and the radiation taking the one person she loved most.

I'm rewatching season 4 and honestly, I don't blame her for becoming so murderous and wanting humanity to end. Her life ended when Adria died and she was used for her blood again.

I'm not saying she was completely right with wanting to end humanity, but I'm not so sure I'd do differently.

Luna Kom Floukru

OMG YES. @clarkgriffon also said Luna, so I’m just going to answer you both here.

How I feel about this character

We would be here all day if I even went into it, but to summarize: she was the best warrior who ever lived and could have had all the power in the world as the commander, but she chose to live a different life in the middle of the ocean where she created a peaceful sanctuary for people sick of the violence in the grounder world, and that alone makes her one of this show’s most iconic characters. 

All the people I ship romantically with this character

Raven: She’s my go to for Luna because they just had the most unexpected soft relationship. Sea Mechanic would have been a god tier ship, but Jason hates us, so...

Lincoln: I’m so upset that we never got to see Lincoln and Luna interact in canon, but from the little we know about them, they were likely good friends, and I would have loved it if they had been betrothed as kids or something. Imagine if when Bellamy, Clarke, Octagon and Jasper went out to the oil rig, Lincoln went with them and reunited with Luna, and old feelings came back and he decided to stay there with her. Would have been a great way to write off his character since Ricky wanted to leave the show, and also, Luna deserved someone like Lincoln. 

Gaia: Actually never thought of this until now, but the enemies to friends to lovers potential that they had was all right there! They both represented everything that the other hated. It could have been really interesting seeing Gaia develop when she started to see things through Luna’s perspective. 

Derek: We know next to nothing about him, but Luna having to kill him was devastating. They were so happy together!

Bellamy: I mentioned this before, but if Luna went into space and we couldn’t have Sea Mechanic, then I think Bellamy and Luna could have been good together, especially since they could have bonded over having a sibling. 

My non-romantic OTP for this character

Luna x Adria. That girl was like a daughter to her :(

Also, if Luna had gone into space, I would have loved to see her become great friends with Emori. 

My unpopular opinion about this character

Everything that Luna said to Octagon was 100% valid, especially the parts about Lincoln, and Jason only got rid of her to serve Octagon’s storyline. She deserved to live and she was worth saving. It’s disgusting that Octagon told her she wasn’t and then killed her, and honestly, it’s unrealistic that someone like Octagon was able to kill her after only minimal training. 

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.

JUST ONE. I CAN’T CHOOSE. There were two directions I saw for her character in s4 as opposed to what happened in 4x10.

1. Luna doesn’t fight in the conclave and stays with Raven at Becca’s lab (and essentially replaces E/cho in space.)

2. Luna does fight in the conclave, but she kills Octagon and wins, and then declares that Raven Reyes and all the kids get spots in the bunker and the rest is up to everyone else. I would kill to have seen Luna rule the bunker, especially since she had been running from being commander for years. It would have been so interesting seeing her struggle with being the leader of a people that’s really not fond of her.

          if this is a nightmare, he would like to wake up now. sometimes the only thing which makes him believe this is reality is adria’s hand in his. the small but steady grip of her fingers around his much larger, roughened palm feels too real, too solid for any of this to be some cruel vision. it is by mere chance the two of them are alive. whatever swept through floukru seems to have left it vacant. he thought they were just rumors at first  (  polis is filled with them  ),  whispers of floukru seen sick, journeying to the gates of arkadia. it made him cut their trip short and when no one answered the smoke signal to return home he knew. 

he just didn’t think it would be this terrible. 

he should have guessed. for luna to bring them this far, to bring them to skaikru of all people, it had to be bad. maybe he didn’t want to believe it. but he cannot lie to himself now as he stands in the entrance to their healing station. he should have had adria wait in another room. he should have entered first she should not have to see this. and yet...why is he trying to keep shielding her from a reality she will have to face sooner or later? it’s not like he can keep this one a secret from her forever. jaw clenches as he continues walking. there are so few of them left. some of them look so still in their sleep he fears they might already be dead. he fears she might be—but she stirs and her eyes blink open. thank the spirits. 

emil lifts a hand to gently move damp hair away from luna’s face as he murmurs    “  osir kom op.  ”

Anyway...

Octavia:

1. Brutally beats her brother, only stopping because she got tired (this is in the script).

2. Yells at her brother about lashing out and people getting hurt because of it the very next episode. 

3. Disables Pike purposely, which endangers the lives of everyone in the tower who is not an ALIE!Zombie. 

4. Murders Pike for revenge. 

5. Cuts off a kid’s head for....reasons, I guess?

6.  Tells her brother the only reason she didn’t kill him is because he’s family.

7. Allows a mob in to attack Ilian and then attempts to shoot him, only failing because “Dramatic trauma memory”.

8. Kills 2 people (who sure attacked her first, but she definitely went overboard with the head smashing.)

Luna:

1. Kills her brother in a Conclave that she was forced to participate in as a child (and yes, in 4x10 they tried to make Luna out to be a bad guy because she killed her brother because she wanted to live, but....wanting to live isn’t a bad thing!!!). 

2. Runs away and tries her best to live peacefully on her ocean rig away from everyone else. 

3. Only fights to save Adria from being murdered by Derek. 

4. Seeks out the Arkadians to get help for Adria and her clan as they die from ARS. 

5. After her entire clan dies and they realize she is radiation resistant, allows the Arkadians to take numerous samples of her blood for testing (taking so much that Jackson has to tell Abby she needs a break).

6. Volunteers her bone marrow for reproduction of Nightblood. 

7. When she no longer wants to participate, is forcibly knocked unconscious and harvested.

8. Finally gets fed up with all of the hate/violence/pain and decides to fight back.

And for some reason, the writer’s really thought it would be a good idea to have Octavia Blake tell Luna kom Floukru that she didn’t deserve to live?!

Luna Deserved Better

Luna was taken to Polis as a child and trained to become a warrior because she was born a Nightblood. She was forced to kill her own brother which traumatised her. She was so ashamed of what she'd just done so she fled her Conclave and decided to live a life of peace on an isolated oil rig away from violence. But Skaikru made their way to her home and Clarke tried to give her the Flame without her permission. They also brought ALIE with them and she was waterboarded and forced to kill her boyfriend. She just wanted to live a peaceful life but violence kept being brought to her. Then the radiation came and killed most of her people. Adria, who she loved as if she were her own daughter, died in her arms. Luna was the only survivor from Floukru. She was then taken to a lab and her blood was taken against her will and she was experimented on. Even though she was injured she tried to fight her way out but they wouldn't let her leave. As the only survivor of her clan she volunteered to fight for them even though she had no one to fight for. She left peace behind her and embraced her dark side. She fought as hard as she could only to end up being killed by Octavia who told her she doesn't deserve to live. Luna's story is absolutely tragic. She deserved so much better than what she got. R.I.P Luna kom Floukru.

Adria practically BEAMED at Luna’s words, her eyes widening just that tad bit before she finally released the smallest of a giggle. Her mother always knew how to make her happy, no doubt.  " They  c a n ’ t just grow for me, nomi! That’s s e l f i s h of them! I want them to grow for YOU too! And for Aspen! And for Reivon! They have to grow for so many people because their prettyness is uhm… Really nice for people! “ she exclaimed, looking back to Luna before she finally shifted one of the crowns to hold out to her. A mixture of blues and purple, with a sprinkle of orange within them. ” This one is for you, nomi! “ she exclaimed excitedly before holding up the other one, which was a mixture of orange, red and yellow. ” This one is for Reivon! “  she added, turning to peer over at the woman in question who was currently working on something she hadn’t quite the knowledge of.

” Oh, oh yes! “ she commented with a quick nod. She had been scared of Skaikru at first… They were… Different. But she had quickly warmed up to Reivon through Luna’s love and trust in her. Now she couldn’t imagine a life where Reivon WASN’T part of their kru! ” Hold onto this one! “ she spoke, gently placing the crown meant for Luna into her hands before she dashed over to Reivon.

” This is for you! I made it all myself! Because you make nomi smile bigger and because you help here so much! “ she solemnly stated, handing over the flower crown with a somewhat shy look upon her face before she quickly made her way back to Luna, curls bouncing with every step that thumped to the ground. ” I gave it, nomi! I gave it to Reivon! “ she bravely spoke, eyes wide before a bright smile curled upon her lips. ” Oh, I got the perfect home for them! Are we going to plant them? Are we?“

she smiled looking into her beautiful eyes and then down at the flowers adria had formed into crowns. "maybe you're right but....i don't know adria, they seem bigger and brighter when you're around them." she teases playfully, her hand ready to gently take the flowers that adria offered to her to hold, how beautiful the colorful petals were in her grasp; luna held them delicately and she drank in the sunrise colors of blue and purple, the kiss of the sun in orange and peachy shades, it was so beautiful and she held it carefully, then watching as adria ran to raven to give one to her, her eyes meeting raven's while she was paused from work for the gift; it seemed she could never keep her eyes from connecting to raven's when they were in the room together. surely it was becoming something to whisper about, the two of them staring at one another from across whichever room they happened to pass through at the same time during that days when chores and work filled their hours.

adria bounced back to her side and she smiled at her, still holding the flowers delicately and then she placed it on her curls, "i think we should invite raven to come with us, and aspen i haven't been able to find her. have you seen her hiding anywhere?" she asks, her fingers gently brushing back a few of adria's curls. "i want to make a flower crown for you." adria needed one as well and she had put so much thought into making one for her and raven, that now luna wanted to see the pretty petals resting on adria's head as well. "we're going to plant them." she answers, nodding back. "there's all kinds of seeds, and i don't know what most of them are so...i suppose we'll have surprise flowers." she smiled and kissed her little one's cheek and then lifted the young girl up into her arms. "do you think that we should ask raven if she'd like to come with us?"
